it's more on the right than the left but bernie sanders does not get up and say let's work together and see if we can save social security. he has his point of view and he has huge support among democratic voters. do you know how many bills he has passed? none. he is not willing to sit down and work across the aisle and see if there is common ground. he is not going to compromise. i remember being in a town meeting and somebody said to me, are you going to compromise? i can't vote for someone that is willing to compromise. i said, sir, are you married? the whole nature of america from the beginning was a compromise. we did not live up to founding documents from the very beginning out of compromise. that is how the system works. we have become a more perfect union as time has gone on. i saw the pole at the university and 78% of respondents said they wanted somebody that would work across the aisle but 82% said, but my party has gone far enough. the other party needs to move. this is impossible but that is the attitude that we should dig in and not compromise, not reach across the aisle.
