meteorologist sandhya patel is here. sandhya, i don't want to feel heat with my eyes.w why they do that in death. >> i know i don't blame you. it's going to be 127 degrees in death valley tomorrow, dan. and for several days, they're going to be dealing with temperatures in the upper 100 seconds. okay, we're not going to get that hot, but it is going to get hot inland. so let's talk about the next few days. heat warnings and advisories will be going up as the summer sizzle returns tomorrow through friday, with three days of triple digit heat coming. it was nice break today while it lasted, but temperatures are going to soar. you're going to notice livermore going from 87 to 103 degrees. that's 16 degrees warmer tomorrow afternoon. san jose up 13 from 80 to 93. you can pretty much see everyone will be in the positive high pressure is going to rebuild, and that's what's going to bring us the heat. but the good news is it's not going to be an area wide heat event. you can pretty much see why. look at all these tower camera views. we have the fog and the low clouds around.

to break it all down is abc seven news meteorologist sandhya patel. hi, sandhya. hi there. yeah, ama, right now we're in a temporary break, but we're going to see another round of heat developing here. and that's why those advisories were extended. so let's talk about what it looks like. this is welcome relief from our mount tam cam. the marine layer showing up. this is the second day where we've seen temperatures going down. most areas are running cooler right now by four degrees in hayward and novato. as you will notice, the onshore breezes have certainly picked up, gusting to 35 at oakland. that's going to help to continue to carry the marine layer along. so when you look at those temperatures right now, this is what you would expect to see. i mean, temperatures are still a few degrees above average by 5 to 10 degrees in some areas. but 90s inland, 60s along the coastline. that is all going to change middle of this week. so the heat advisories for the inland valleys and mountains extended until 8 p.m. friday for the san francisco bay shoreline, carquinez strait and delta

thank you so much, sandhya. let's talk about some of the impact of the fire danger here in the south bay. one firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion while battling this fire outside of the goodwill of silicon valley headquarters and donation center sky seven, high above the scene on north seventh street in san jose. shortly after it started around 2 p.m. we're told several trucks, boxes of books and wooden pallets all burned here. the fire appears to have spread to some grass nearby. thankfully, no structures are threatened at this time, and in mariposa county, the sheriff's office there has lifted some of the evacuation orders for the french fire burning outside of yosemite national park. crews built a fire line around the eastern side of mariposa to protect the town from flames. more than 900 acres have burned since the fire started yesterday evening. so far, it's about 20% contained. the cause of that fire is still under investigation. >> in butte county, near oroville. >> all evacuation orders have been

meteorologist sandhya patel is back. sandhya so nice to hear it's going to cool off. >> it is indeed. and today temperatures started to drop down. we're going to keep that going as we hit the weekend. let me show you some live pictures right now from our tower cameras, and you will notice one thing is in common, which is the marine layer. it's about 1300ft deep, and it's certainly making for some murky views. here's a look at what you can expect. today's high temperatures compared to tomorrow. santa rosa. you're going to drop by 13 degrees from 99 to 86. you'll notice it when you're 104, in concord, and you're coming down to 92 degrees. so 12 degrees cooler. san francisco, oakland, only a couple of degrees, san jose from 92 to 89, 3 degrees drop. and the reason for this is high pressure is going to start to shift off to the east. this area of low pressure is beginning to take over, which is what is drawing in our cooler air. i do want to show you some warnings that are up for around the state. the sierra red flag warning

checking back in now with sandhya. yeah. >> and dan and julian.are going to notice those temperatures rising quickly tomorrow away from the coast. you can see on live doppler seven why the coast is remaining comfortable. we do have some fog right near the coastline. tomorrow afternoon you're going to see a mix of sun and fog and half moon bay, 66 degrees 77, in downtown san francisco. our summer microclimates clearly showing up. 85 in oakland. but 106 in walnut creek and 107 in antioch. so day two of the heat wave. and it will coincide with the hottest weather of the week, 108 degrees in livermore, getting you up to about 99. in san jose friday, the heat starts to back off. it's still going to be in the triple digits inland, but by saturday you're down to the 90s, and by sunday you're feeling that relief as the sea breeze comes in. the marine layer is very well established for your weekend and beyond. the accuweather seven day forecast. two more days of this heat wave for inland areas before the temperatures come down into comfortable territory. j
