as we stretch to the santa clara valley, sunnyvale, santa clara, we are keeping a close eye on the heavier storms. this will continue to move to the north but mostly off to the east as we head into the early morning hours. it will add up fast into the morning hours. by 10:00 a.m., seeing over a half inch of rain in concord, fairfield, half moon bay. we'll continue to keep a close eye on these light bands throughout the afternoon because it is still unsettled into the evening hours tonight. as i advance to our tuesday morning forecast, we will see an inch of rain accumulate from now until that point. we have more showers as we head into tuesday afternoon all the way into wednesday. let me take it a step back and turn on the clouds so you can see throughout the bay area into this afternoon, our forecast is mild. by it is cool too. we are talking about 50s and 60s for daytime highs with all the rain around the corner into the afternoon too. it's going to be a wet one. grab the umbrella. keep those rain coats handy, rain boots as well into the santa clara valley. it will be an impressive storm

there is some lighter showers trying to creep back up into the santa clara valley. but the heaviest rain has been focused on the central valley in southern california over the past several hours and i will remain the case has we head to this evening and tonight. the rain chances will continue trying to creep back up towards us, but in general things will be quieting down the further we head into tonight. and by this morning, a couple showers trying to sneak back up into the santa clara valley but even there it is lower than a 20% chance of additional rainfall on top of what we have picked up, which has been significant. sunday, over an inch and a half of rain on the low end of the spectrum in san jose. erasing the deficit we have saw this season. and land in the east bay, between an inch and a third. almost 3 inches of rain for oakland with over 3 inches for san francisco, and some of the numbers in the north bay are higher. almost 4 inches around san rafael and over four, in fact almost 5 inches has accumulated since everything started on sunday in santa rosa. ther
