andrew schwartz was concerned about a lack of snowpack. more comfortable with snow totals here to snow. we're at about 1992%, of average, depending on which metric we're using, which is really, really fantastic. and that's recent give us about. 31 inches and so it kind of came and right between that 2 to 4 foot range we were forecasting, as you can see from the snowpack numbers, percentages are in a very good place from 79 up to 100% about a 60% increase from the state's first snowpack survey of the year. schwartz says in a state with constant drought concerns we can't get too comfortable even though we have additional stored in our we want to carry that forward. so we want average snowpack here this year and we want to ensure that we are still conserving our water as well to ensure that we can carry that benefit forward as far into the future is possible. he remembers last year's snow totals. well, the second-largest snowpack year on record with 754 inches. we're not close to that yet. palisades tahoe recording a total of around 209 inche
