sidney was not about to miss this day. i figured it'd be the perfect opportunity to just, you know, sit and study in the sun and at the baseball field and, you know, pay respect to willie mays and everything he did for baseball. sidney is studying for the bar and hopes to feed off the energy inside oracle park today. the mood was set by the piano music as fans poured in to pay their respects and sign condolence books. many hands trembled as fans wrote their final goodbyes to willie mays. it's a very emotional experience, you know, he was the greatest who ever played the game. it's hard. this is a very wonderful man, and i think the giants have done a great thing in letting us share in this ceremony of memory, one by one, young and old, all writing on paper what they wish they could have said to willie in person. i'm thanking him for inspiring me and helping me inspire my kids to appreciate baseball more. they shared stories, a few tears, and many laughs. they're here because of willie mays, and today everything felt right,
