good morning, silvia. so investors will be watching for the all important jobs data coming out in just a few hours. it is indeed a jobs friday. what are the expectations? >> exactly. that is the key metric for the markets today. at this stage, though, the expectation suggests we'll see jobs growth coming in at 200,000 for the month of march. that would be actually lower from the reading we got in february at 275,000. however, if the number does prove to be correct, we would still be looking at a very strong labor market. so let's see what the final reading will be. we know that there's a lot of focus on it particularly, john, because at this stage there's a lot of uncertainty what the fed will do this year when it comes to rate cuts. market expectations still suggest we'll see three rate cuts this year. however, the recent commentary from fed officials suggest we'll we're not going to get any red cuts this year. so let's see whether this nonfarm payroll figure will actually provide clarity to the markets i

silvia is joining us with more. >> that's right, frank. an important day. it has been an important week for monetary policy. we are going to hear from ben bernancke. we have big plans and that is what governor andrew bailey said about the upcoming review from ben bernancke. it comes down to two different types of forecasting. inflation and policy. let's look at inflation first. the bank has come under heavy criticism. we know it has missed on predicting inflation and they are estimates the pace of price hikes and failing to catch how fast they would abate. at the worst, bank predictions on inflation were as much as five percentage points which was out of sync of the data. there is the telegraphing rate of expectations. there is some expectations that ben bernancke would introduce the dot plot. one argument in favor is the bank of england forecasts on market expectations which have mistaken smoke for fire. the school of economics shows markets have overpredicted the bank's policy rate by a percentage point every year over the last decade and a half. since 20
