we've got a line of stormy weather moving through montara and up towards a south san francisco and san mateo, and then farther southward down into the woodside and los altos hills area. so it's raining rather steadily there. but much of the bay area right now is not receiving rainfall because of the scattered nature of the storm. so let's close in and take a look at the exclusive abc seven storm impact scale through this evening. this is a level three storm possibility of severe storms developing, although they may not hit all parts of the bay area, pockets of heavy rain and strong, gusty wind will occur and there is a possibility of localized flooding. here's a forecast animation over the next couple of hours. between now and about 5:00. the similar pattern. it looks like most of the activity will be up for the north bay. not so much south or east of the golden gate, although these little cells can pop up just about anywhere. but we're talking about the greatest probability right now of continued stormy weather is in the north bay through much of the evening, before the system starts

scattered showers around edgemoor back into pacifica, into south san francisco. boy, it was pouring in the south bay. now again, a random shower around san jose. but look at again all this is traverse ing to the east and lifting to the north. and that's why the east bay is under the gun with the heaviest precipitation. we're now picking up up to a quarter of an inch of rain outside of antioch. if it was to sit over that area in one hour. and then we're looking at danville, san ramon, the six 8580 corridor that is very messy for the evening commute. and this is why the national weather service has said to watch all this activity, because even though it is passing through the bay area, we still have that flash flood watch in effect for the entire bay area, and that is until tomorrow. meanwhile, we have a flood advisory for marin and sonoma counties, and now coming into the mix, the santa cruz mountains is in fact the entire county because we do have some minor flooding and the potential for landslides and also mudslides. i do have some good news, and i'll come alon

and there's 270 agencies in california now using this technology, um, in south san francisco. so the first six months of having alpr, they reduced their auto burglaries by 80% and their motor vehicle thefts by 50. right now in san francisco, we're the only county in the bay area that doesn't have this technology. we not using the technology currently. okay, so what else can the cameras be used for? that was a question asked. nothing basically, if it's not one of those for authorized uses, it's prohibited. we have to follow the rules. we have to follow 19 be we have to have our policies in place and be very strict about it. so who will use this technology? who will have access? police officers, investigators, sergeants, crime analysts, the lieutenant of special investigations or their designee, the deputy chief of investigation, assistant chiefs, and the chief of police. users will have a unique login for audit purposes. so the question also was, could this are we very close now to cameras tracking all movements in the city? and so we did a little bit of math and determined tha

francisco this afternoon mid 70s reported in oakland as well as in the south bay of san jose. upper 60s low 70s for the inner east bay and 72 this afternoon in napa. here's a look at where we are at this moment. temperatures are beginning to cool off. even upper 40s out there in areas like half moon bay, fairfield, san francisco, right now at 58, in the north bay, 50 degrees in napa. the winds have remained generally light, even calm. santa rosa, novato, napa a light breeze and concord. and in our hills, not too bad either. we're going to continue with the semi. we'll call it quiet pattern, at least for the next a couple of days before wet weather returns to the bay area. here's a view of a low that is off our coastline. this is going to help bring in some unsettled weather, as well as a front that is dropping in from the north and the two combined going to bring rain to the bay area on monday and snow to the sierra tomorrow morning. we wake up with temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s, and for the afternoon. as i said before, temperatures are expected to drop off. we will
