in the briefing with the secret service and f.b.i.told that crooks had three encrypted accounts on overseas platforms. i don't think the nature of the platforms was described. we don't know if they were financial or social media or some other kind of account. there now appears to be some sort of international component to all of this. >> i think this is so interesting, too. something i did for almost ten years with the government and big tech companies. what you do is extract data from these platforms and figure out who were the platforms he was using even if encrypted. who was he talking to. what are the i.p. addresses. can you geo locate him to those physical locations? tech companies can do that. was he using aliases. where are the connections to that network via the platforms? we don't know the nature of those encrypted overseas accounts but there are people in the government and outside of the government who can work to exploit that information that those accounts would convey. the hearing next week should give us a lot of answer
