mcbride landed there on wafer's front door. now he has long maintained that he thought someone was trying to break into his house, when he went to answer his door, then his shotgun accidentally went off. his lawyers arguing that wafer didn't intend to shoot mcbride. and that mcbride we learned was more than three times the legal limit for alcohol, and that she also had marijuana in her system. now the judge had listened to testimony for a day and a half, and concluded that wafer will stand trial. take a listen. the first short was to bring the gun, not call for help, the not answer the door. as for the evidence that has been taken in this preliminary examination, it suggest to this court the defend made a bad choice. when there were only reasonable opportunities that were available to the defend at the time.

just yesterday we went to a gun shop here in the atlanta area to take a look at that weapon, if we roll some othe video you can see it, it is a very precise, piece of equipment, it's light, it has a target range of about 300-yards and it is based upon the m 16. now this particular gun was used in the aurora movie theater massacre, a year and a half ago, and then in newtown connecticut about a year ago. so officials here on monday got together with the police, they have been talking about this for months as to whether to pass this law, they passed it on monday, and now they are in the process of ordering this particular gun to be used in three different schools here in gainsville georgia. >> and robert, is gainsville the first or are we seeing this a lot? >> definitely not the first, though there are not a lot like this.

one in particular in california, fontana, they have ordered about 14 a.r. 15s that they have in their school district right now. there's another one in san diego, school district, and another one in los angeles. now, many police departments around the united states do have this as an issue, the piece of equipment for their police force, in fact, up in boston, recently, there's some controversy up there, a lot of talk as to whether the police should have the a.r. 15, some people there don't wantons why the implemented this new law. >> why are you bringing these into the schools. >> all of our officers carry these. shortly after the sandy look incident, we had a senate proposal to the school board, and in that proposal we requested to keep rivals inside the schools.

>> we still have delayed at the salt lake city city international airport because of wintery weather moving through. up to an hour, so call your airline to see if you flight is included. certainly, you can see that winter weather right now from utah into wyoming, we have some spotty rain that's what initially caused a cargo 757 landed just fine, no damage, but it slipped on the runway. mainly in the mines. we aren't expecting higher accumulations there. where we get the high accumulations today will be in parts of the rockies further over to the north.

it feels more like ten degrees below zero, but about 700 miles apart, a pretty big difference in temperatures. if you head down to st. louis, it feels like 41. well, that warm err air to the south, and the colder air to the north, it is already going to cause problems that we are anticipating so a freezing rain has gone into effect across parts of northern missouri, iowa, all the way over into chicago. starts at midnight, prepare for icy roads. freezes and you have the glaze. in about a tent of an inch of ice with that particular storm, it is a storm that will bring us a lot of problems as we move forward. today you can see the storms across the north, temperatures from the mid 70's to the south, 20's to the north, only getting warmner the southeast over the weekend. >> rebecca, thank you very much, and we want to
