the official delegation representing the government, really, wanting to show that it has no intention of giving up power, what we understand is that they are going to propose us set ising up the corridors, but at the same time they will oversee the humanitarian operation on the ground. ten the regime being very defiant, and confident at the same time, in any negotiation process, the ground speaks for itself. the rebels are bogged down, p regime still controls centers, the urban centers so it does feel confident, but we understand as well that the government delegation will be telling the world that this is the last time they want to talk about the future of syria, outside syrian territory, and they want the negotiations to take place inside syria.

mentioned, they are not doing very well on the battlefield, they don't control most of the of six held territory inside syria. they have lost some members just going into these peace talks, what realistically is their goals? well, at the end of the day, this could be the last chance to assert itself. we know it is divided. and the opposition from day one, this has been the weakness. is the fact that it is divided even further, so politically, they are wreak. the international community almost forced them to attend geneva 2, because the international community believes that there is no military solution to in crisis. the question we need to ask, if any agreement is reached how can it be implemented on the ground how much do they control oven the ground. we do know that the powerful rebel forces are just not interested in the political process, if it doesn't end up with the regime leaving power.

i guess the question is, how much support does the reconciliation process have for regional and international players? >> it is mixed domestically but i think the great majority want the country to stay together. but the country is becoming more and more ungovernable. we didn't even talk yet about the horrendous economic problems. the overpopulation. but nobody wants in the country really wants to see it go completely to pieces. but it is heavily depend now economically on help from the outside. especially from the rich states of the gulf. saudi arabia and the others plus a very significant amount of american aid. so without this aid, the future looks extremely bleak. so everybody has to support this effort to
