this has been a very rough day for the iraqi government. three years after american combat troops left the country, al quaida inspired fighters are sweeping through cities in the north, and are threatening to invade the capitol city of baghdad. the islamic state are calling to attack the capitol. battles are being fought in these blue areas. in the knot, thousands of refugees are fleeing to iraqi kurdish stan, the army says it has secured after iraq ski soldiers there apparently, abandoned their positions. in the big picture it has only taken a few days for the military to lose a third of the country, and the i.s.i.l. is using means as well as military

forces to gain ground. reportedly handed it back to tribesman in an effort to turn the tribes against the shiite led government in baghdad. omar in the capitol with this report. confirmed the special forces described them the elite forces will carry out military operations. to clear those cities from fighters from the imlambic state as well as other armed groups. now separately, the airport has been carrying out different air strikes and those two cities remain under the control of the armed group including isil fighters.
