time. the palestinian territory has been attacked for six days, 167 people have been killed. rockets from hamas and other groups continue to be fired into the israel from gaza. there have been sirens heard across the city warning people to seek safety. 13 people have been injured as a result. moscow has warned of irreversible consequences after a russian man was killed by shells fired from ukraine. the ukrainian government denied the incident took place. at least six people have been killed during fighting near libya's main airport in tripoli. anti--aircraft gunfire was heard around the area t militia controls the area. it's the worse fighting in the c capitol for six months. all flights in and out of the airport have been cancelled. iran's parliament adjourned after a brief meeting. some members refused to attend. others were stranded by a sand storm.

it means the country is without a government. the u.n. is warning of chaos if the political deadlock drags on for too long. imran chan reports now from baghdad. >> reporter: due to bad weather, the parliamentary session that was supposed to begin at mid i day has been cancelled until ties. kurdish mps who were due to fly in weren't able to make their flight because of the sand storm that you can see behind me. so that parliamentary session postponed until tuesday. there is some good news. it looks like there is some agreement on the appointment of the speaker of the house. it's a key position. once they agree on the speaker of the house it kicks in a constitutional process that allows for 45 days to choose the next prime minister of iraq. now, it has been chondro versial but it looks like there is agreement that doctor salim. albujori will be the speaker of the house. we will find out on tuesday when parliament parlor meets.
