meeting and our correspondent has been following events and send this report. >> it was a late night for members of the security council, meeting past midnight in new york on the situation? gaza, it was the second emergency meeting on the subject in three days. this took place behind closed coarse, with another briefing from a u.n. official on the latest death toll and humanitarian situation. not much anxious coming -- action coming out of the council of the the p, the rwandan ambassador, said that the council expressed concern about the situation, called for a cessation of hostilities and expressed concern about humanitarian law and application of civilians. that's one thing that is increasingly of concern for all members of the security council. how to proceed and act on that is not something we are seeing unity in terms of council

shajaiya. it struck homes, cars more civilians died here in one night than in the previous threes days of conflict. what you can't see a palestinian fighters using this area as a base. in that fighting they killed 13 israeli soldiers. during a brief ceasefire we drove in, the deeper we went, the emptier the streets. >> this is in the middle of the neighbourhood. this is a u.n. school. it's been gutted by an israeli strike. if you look down here, you see how empty the neighbourhood is, and you hear the sound of israeli drones - they are across the street from the school. you see this, a house that's been destroyed. on our way out we met a family. israel told everyone to leave days ago. some are heeding that call now. can you tell me what you saw this morning and last night?

security council is going to hold another meeting about this, passing the resolution when it comes to dealing with the situation. russia denies involvement. there has been accusations from the government in ukraine, supplying the weapons or having people in the fighting area that fired the missile. that is the accusations that have been levelled against russia by the ukranian government. they te nighed those. we know the security cone on monday will -- denied those. we know the security council on monday will pass a resolution. >> the united nations nuclear monitoring agency says iran's enriched stock can no longer be made into weapons, that means iran has complied with the terms of app agreement reached last november and paves the way for the release of frozen funds.
