♪ ♪ israel i police say four jewish worshipers have been killed in an attack on a synagog. two palestinians from east jerusalem are believed to be behind the attack. these are the latest pictures, live pictures in fact of west jerusalem from the scene of the attack. the attack happened at a synagog in a neighborhood of west jerusalem. let's speak to our stefanie dekker from joins from our bureau in west jerusalem. bring us u up-to-date on what's been happening and the different reactions so far. >> reporter: well, the casually count is four israelis killed, who are praying inside the synagog. also a number of injured. we are hearing, we spoke to the hospital that four of those are in an extremely critical condition.

we are also hearing that the two palestinian attackers as you said from east jerusalem have been killed by police. on the political front the isreali prime minister benjamin netanyahu has convene the a security meet on how to deal with this. his words have been harsh saying we will respond to terror with a heavy hand and blames hamas and the palestinian authority for insightful language that leads to these attacks. we had a statement yesterday in response to the detective of the hanging of a palestinian man that the israelis say was a suicide, but that's not believe odd the palestinian street where they blamed netanyahu and elements of his government of insightful language that turn hatred against arabs, we are similar narratives from the two sides. we spoke to the police commissioner. it was interesting what told us he says we currently have for solution to deal with these kind of attacks. these attacks what has been happening over the last few weeks seem to be individual taking matters in their own
