from two villages. there was fighting that was happening in a town that is close to the two villages between i.s.i.l. fighters and syrian kurdish fighters who control many of the areas there. and that town's name is tel-tamar. in response to the fight, and in response to a push by syrian kurdish fighters that has really kicked i.s.i.l. out of many areas in north-eastern syria, it appears that this came in retaliation, these abductions to this kurdish push. we know that kurdish fighters in syria are trying to gain more control of towns and villages in north-eastern syria, and close to the border with iraq. as of a few days ago, we know that these kurdish fighters have taken control of several areas after i.s.i.l. withdrew. so it appears that kurdish fighters are really pushing hard

against i.s.i.l. and leading - and compounding losses for i.s.i.l. so the response was to kidnap these 90 christians, at least 90 christians from the ancient syrian minority. that is all we know about the abductions. separately we understand from the syrian observatory for human rights that 14 i.s.i.l. fighters have been killed in coalition air strikes on tuesday. in the area in the those areas. thank you for the update. we are getting news of another kidnapping. this time in afghanistan. let's get the latest from nicole johnson, joining us on the phone line from harr at. what happened there? >> well we are getting information from the chief commissioners. he is saying that at 4:00p.m. yesterday. one of the ethnic groups inside
