. >> and the chili volcano eruption that has forced thousands of people from their homes. >> . >> hello there and thank you for joining us. the prime minister has accused the president f out putting the existence at risk, through a proposed deal to halt the nuclear activities. in a speak to the u.s. congress he said a ten year agreement would only delay iran's acquisition of a nuclear bomb rather than prevent it, he warned that allowing iran to keep the facilities would be a nightmare, saying it would lead to a id manile east littered with bombs. as a very ball deal, he said iran must first change it's behavior and act like a normal country if it wanted to be treated like a normal country. it also compared iran to isil

and warned the greatest danger the marriage with nuclear weapons. >> the battle doesn't turn iran into a friend of america iran and isis are competed for the crown of mitt tan islam. first on the region and then on the entire world. they just disagree among themselves whose will be the ruler of that empire. there's no peace for christian, uses, or muslims that don't share the creed no right for women, no freedom for anyone. so enwith it comes to iran and isis the enemy of your enemy is youren my.
2:03 pm
the speech has drawn criticism from the public. protestors close to the leader say that iran has the right to develop nuclear power. while his sup effort political analysterses say that he is trying to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons in the east. >> the republican party has invited mr. netanyahu here for something that is much more than an election stunt, even though it is being pushed by many and the circumstances are only relevant due to the controversial between the democrats and the republicans but in the reality, this is an aggressive move so push an aggressive agenda for laying the path work, laying the ensos laying the ground work for an attack on iran.
2:04 pm
kim beforely let's start with you there. now u.s. support has always been a bipartisan affair, how devicive has this been do you think? this visit has been highly controversial. we saw up to 56 members of congress. has been one that we have not heard in terms of criticizing policy in many many years in washington, there was always consensus that some of the comments from members of congress including the belief that this was a condescending speech that fear tick ever were used to try to manipulate the mood and that really the arguments that were made were that really the united states if it cares about it's security, if it cares about israel, it needs to reject a
2:05 pm
deal flat out. that any deal is the only optioners haves a bad deal in the eyes of the israelis prime minister. we also heard from -- didn't hear, but we arer haing just looking at some comments that are being made by president obama in the oval office, he said that he did not watch the speech that he was in a teleconference with european leaders but he did say that he heard nothing new from this, and also that he was disappointed that the prime minister did not offer any viable alternative. i should echo one more thing she said when she listened to the speech, she was almost in near tears that there was a feeling by the israeli prime minister that the peace five plus one countries were simply incapable or did not have the intelligence to negotiate a deal to curb actives that would benefit the world as well as dream so a lot of
2:06 pm
criticism, and skepticism, mostly apartisan lines. and kimberly, you were just mentioning that they have made comments in the oval office. as far as i could tell there was nothing new. on that point i thundershower owly agree. we also pointed out that iran has been a dangerous regime, and continues to israel, and to the region. and on that, we agree he
2:07 pm
also pointed out the fact that iran has repeatedly threatens israel. and engaged in the most venomous of anti-semimettic statements and no one can dispute that. but on the core issue which is how do we prevent iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon which would make it far more dangerous, and would give it scope for even greater action in the region. the prime minister didn't offer any viable alternatives. >> let's question reaction from jerusalem i guess that when you have 12 days to go to an election, even when you are in front of the u.s. congress you are thinking about your audience back at home, what kind of reaction has there been to the speech so far there's absolutely an all lot
2:08 pm
of domestic politicking going on here. in washington to deliver a speech that he has described himself as a historic mission. and the fact is that this speech will very likely go down ex-dreamily well with most israeli voters. now the reason for that, is not because of the substance of the speech which mostly deals with iran, and the concerns mr. netanyahu has over any deal that iran can be reach over it's nuclear program, that isn't a bread and butter issue for israeli voters. but whey they do like is seeing the leader of their country, standing in front of lawmakers in the united states, one of the world's most powerful countries which is israel's most powerful ally. and the fact is you also have mr. netanyahu live on every international news channel and his face will likely be on the face of most international
2:09 pm
newspapers around the world that sort of thing goes down well, whenever a leader goes out there and stumps for the cause, that does resonate here. in saying that there are quarters here in the israel, which are deeply upset about this, they believe that mr. netanyahu has effectively put in jeopardy this relationship with the united states for a very seaning term goal, which is simply this, to keep his job. many feel that the partisan sort of nature of his speech, and how his speech came about has create add poisonous atmosphere with the leadership and indeed the white house. and many people will no doubt be thinking about that when they got to the polls in two weeks. >> with the latest from west jerusalem, thank you. now let's go to al jazeera senior analyst.
2:10 pm
let's start with the stile. are meant to attract applause and make a hike in case. the speech started with flattery that started more like a farce, how bad the relationship between the prime minister and the president. in temples of rhetoric, for you were sitting at tehran, everything that the prime minister said about tehran, they would tell you this is how israel is, dodges international nuclear respect tors hides a nuclear weapons programs. spreads terrorism invading neighbors countries. and theological. but in terms of content, i think this is the most important part of the speak for the prime minister any
2:11 pm
deal is a bad deal, because you cannot make a good deal with a bad regime like the irhinian regime, and two because if you lead any of the nuclear program intact, iran will eventually develop a nuclear power. or military weapon. so in a sense the prime minister has undermined or tries to undermind the case for negotiation, leaving the u.s. congress the american people indeed the world with one option. which is war. what was interesting when you mentioned isil and said the enemy of your enemy is still your enemy way dressing the fact that open or not as is the united states, what do you make of that, do you think that is -- was a big part of him wanting to make the speech right now to the u.s.. >> well you can say it is a
2:12 pm
one sided speech, and just bidding a case against iran. to make the case against iran but seriously, in the the end of the day for the united states iran is seen as helpful, against isis. you need some help there but for most of the people in iraq syria and the region, and this is the paradox in the entire affair. if you ask people around the region which are the three most dangerous countries that have been undermining stability and peace, and they will tell you they are israel, the united states, and iran. so in fact, when these three are trying to work out differences of course much of the region will balk against
2:13 pm
iran, and american transgression, but they would rather see these resolved peacefully, than to have another war compounded over the other wars in the region. thank you. let's look at the rest of the day's news that is coming up ahead, as they prepare for more fighting despite the cease fire, and how china is doing more to save el fans from poachers. show you how the miracles of science... >> this is my selfie...

with a proposed deal speaking to the u.s. congress, also compared iran to isil. the greatest danger facing our world to defeat isis and let iran get weapons would be to win the battle but lose the war, we didn't let that happen. the u.s. president said the israeli prime minister did not offer an alternative. became said he would only agree to a cool that would prevent them from obtaining a weapon.
2:17 pm
>> he says progress has been made since the last round of discussions. roz jordan has been following the response for us from washington, d.c. too often the u.s. and iran taking place officials have said they don't believe there will be any impact because the negotiations aren't just between the u.s. and iran, five other world powers including russia and china are involved in this process. and they say they also have a stake in how the deal is constructed if one is completed. now, the other point that u.s. officials want to stress is
