6:09 am
every other political party in yemen and start dialoguing and start debating with them to create a new yemen. that will be the objective of the war and could be achieved tomorrow but we have not seen sign of that. so irans are not helping in gathering the houthi to stand still and we saw that in the speech made by the houthi yesterday and others, but eventually that is the end of the game. it's just to accept dialog. >> as the conflict drags on we are seeing more civilian casualties. i was just speaking to one resident in sanaa complaining about the results of a strike on a military base there impacting residential neighborhoods, of course we know the criticism from offam blaming the saudi-led coalition for hitting a warehouse, those sorts of incidents increase do you see civilian casualties perhaps

6:21 am
stronger military than lebanese army and one of the reasons the saudis agreed to do this, the saudis have been upset that hezbollah entered the fray when they entered the syrian civil war and backed bashar al-assad's troops and way they entered the deal with the french government and the saudis of course see iran as the biggest threat and iran backed hezbollah and hezbollah has been stronger than lebanese army and a lot of the politics at play here as well and because lebanon has been essentially a proxy battlefield for so many decades and pulled to groups froem iran and saudis the saudis want to see the lebanese get tougher and not dragged further in syrian civil war and do not want to see a spill over of violence the way they are afraid it might.

it all going? >> well it is indeed a lot of money with benefits to both china as well as pakistan because china gets a shortcut to europe africa and markets in the middle east and in return china helps pakistan improve its infrastructure help with power generation and at the same time also enhance strategic cooperation. this is something which has surpassed anything that the americans have offered the pakistanis and critics say the american aid is thinly spread and does not have the strategic impact but the kind of relationship that pakistan and china are now getting into means that it will have a strategic impact and benefit for both china and pakistan. >> in addition bilateral benefits what does this mean for the big power game in asia between china and u.s. and india
6:24 am
and so on? >> that is a great question and pakistan expressed its desire to buy aid from the chinese and these are submarines which are hard to detect and $6 billion deal and chinese have given pakistan what they needed and willing to give even more military assistance to pakistan. so this is seen as a big game changer for pakistan also in view of the fact that the americans are now giving military assistance to india and selling all types of state of the art weapons and it helps pakistan and also helps the chinese to secure their core corridor and want to connect the arabian sea. >> what about relaunching the ancient trading route, how important is that for china's
6:25 am
economy at this point? >> it is extremely crucial because if you look at the maritime routes most of the chinese ships are traveling through the straits or morocco and worries the chinese and they will bypass that number one and in the long run it will help the chinese to have better relations with the pakistanis which of course will be a win-win for china as well. so, indeed it will be a big, big priority for the chinese and for the pakistanis. this is something that they have been waiting for. this is a relationship that has culminated over five decades and is now bearing fruit. >> all right, live from islamabad. now, let's get some weather news with robin and it's the day of the boston marathon and how is the snow looking? >> record-breaking winter you
