these inmates are clearly motivated to stay out they went through a lot of trouble to break out and they are going through a lot of trouble to stay out so no matter what it is a stressful situation. and now their planneds not going as intended that does create more stress, more opportunity, and more motivation to either commit crime, and even violence. often times they only talk about how to get out then they are likely to stay tot but more often than not inmates will split up, and there's a lot of reasons they do that. the public is looking for two people tot, if they are not together they may make them aidessier to avoided detections and it divides time. so instead of following one

australia's prime minister is calling terrorism a form of teason. he says it is the biggest security challenge facing the asia pacific region. wayne hay has more. >> it is really all about combating the message that is spread. is believed to send out tens of thousands of messages through social media every day. hoping to retract new recruits. heading over to iraq and syria to join isil, so far it is believed around 100 have done that there is also a lot of discussion about this summit about a community led response, of course, governments in this region including australia have been very busy.

the united nations. clearly it is embarrassing after allegations of abuse in the central african republic, by french and some african troops. they were serving in a country where the u.n. was present, they are accused of sexual abuse of young boys. i suspect we will once the formal report is published get comment, and also from the office of the high commissioner of human rights this is interesting because he was the man ten years ago last time there were allegations of abuse and exploitation by u.n. peace keepers who conducted a review of the whole system. so his comments i think will be interesting. >> reporting from the united nations, the u.s. ambassador to the united nations is visiting ukraine today. samantha power is setting off new u.n. office that hopes to help end the ukraine conflict she just finishes speaking in kiev, she called

for domestic reform such as anticorruption and government accountability, the ambassador also did not mince words about who the united states blamed for the on going violence. the message throughout this conflict and the message you heard from president obama and other world leaders at last week's meeting of the g seven, has never waiverred. if russia continues to disregard the sovereignty and territorial integrity of ukraine, and if russia continues to violate the rules upon which international peace and security rests then the united states will continue to raise the costs on russia. officials monitor it is the cease fire. the i.m.f. the international monetary fund has now walked away from the latest round of talks aimed at keeping greece from defaulting on it's debt.

personals say there was no progress, this comes hours after officials say a deal was within reach john has more now from athens. thursday's optimistic tone that they are now close to an agreement is probably connected to the i.m. f. departure, the greeks think they may in the next few days reach a deal with with just their european creditors the european central bank and the european commission, to finance themselves through the next nine months. the importance of that time period is that that is the period of time left of contractual oversite by the imf. once it departs in march of 2016, the greeks would like as officials here have been tellingtous sit down, and talk to just the europeans about how to solve the really difficult issues making the pension system is sustainable, and restructuring the debt, so that greece has another couple of decades in order to pay off that debt.

that cannot happen, it is the biggest drain on greek public finances. they wanted to see a tension standing on it's own two legs but for that to happen, pences had to be severely curtailed and this government doesn't want to do that, saying it is a recession marry measure that will make the economy shrink instead of grow. to replace the austerity policies that greece has already seen. another big area, is of course tax revenue, greece currently rideses about $55 billion a year, they want to see that fall, it wants more money to stay in the economy again with the purpose of creating jobs and growth. the world bank issues about

developing economies like china, these economies have helped spur global growth since the financial crisis but they have lost some of their steam, and now the world bank says these economies can slow down even more. u.s. interest rates don't just impact, they ripple throughout the globe, and that's because the dollar is the word's reserve currency. over half of the world's foreign exchange reserves are denominating in dollars so when the fed hikes interest rates making the dollar more valuable and crucially increasing the interest earned on u.s. government debt well, the dominoes tend

now the department of veterans affairs is trying to figure out what is happened. a study revealed female veterans take their own lives far more often than civilian women. researchers found female veterans commit suicide at six times the rate of other women. the pattern goes back to the 1950's indicating it is more than the stress of the recent wars. among both sexes young vets from 18 to 29, thes is rate is almost 12 times as high as the civilian p tolation.

at a hearing wednesday addressed some of the factors. >> a potentially deadly mix of opennoid use and lack of oversight is contributing to our high rate of veteran suicide. >> powerful pain medications prescribed often with inadequate supervision. >> i am particularly concerned about veterans at risk of self-medication and addiction being prescribed for pain management. >> the v.a. says more than half the veterans it treats deal with chronic pain. half a million take some type of medication for it. >> with approximately 22 vet remembers dying by suicide every day, and more attempting suicide reducing instants of overmedication, and limited access to powerful prescription medications must be included in a comprehensive approach to addressing this issue.

>> well, i guess there's a little bit of truth to that, when we find -- when we suspect people on our property we will investigate. just across the highway we find three young men trying to make their way north. the kind of people vickers is trying to keep out. but instead of running when we approach them, they walked toward us, begging for water. >> they say they are here from mexico, and have walked for two days. they are not criminals just for a better life. >> he described each immigrant as another life saved from the dessert. >> but i feel like what they are doing is wrong, it is a huge detriment to our country. it's a huge expense to the taxpayers that take care of them once they get here. we can't take care of the whole world.

>> heavy flooding. high winds toppled some trees. no injuries have been reported from the surprise storm. that little bit of rain is not easing california's drought, which is now in it's fourth year. victoria reports it is having a major impact on a national treasure yosemite national park. it is one of the most beautiful national parks in the united states, but even yosemite can't escape. the effects can be seen all around. scott has been a ranger for nearly 20 years. he says the river is usually twice as high. >> this is the true indicator to me. seeing that the river level here in the river is just over three feet, and here we are it isn't even summer yet and we are looking at warmer temperatures a record low snowpack just tells me how much of a drought we are

really in. >> to cut connions by 25% yosemite isn't subject to the cuts because it is managed be i the federal government, be uh the park is appealing to visitors not to waste water. >> everybody is very conservative. if we have left over water bottles we aren't throwing it away, we are using it for coffee there's just little things you can do to cob can serve. >> and the drought isn't just effecting nature, these visitors are going on one of the last trims. >> when the water gets down to 1.5 feet that's when there's not enough flow, the algae starts to grow, and the rocks are starting to protrude out. so we stop at about a foot and a half. >> people are bracing for another panelinged summer, and as beautiful as this park
