seven-month hibernation and contacts earth. we start in south africa where the high court is considering whether to agree to the arrest of sudan's president who is attended an african union summit there and has ordered the government to take all necessary steps to prevent him from leaving the country. in 2009 he became the first ruling head of state to be indicted by the icc. he was accused of ordering war crimes and crimes against humanity in darfur. the icc says it's deeply concerned about consequences if the arrest is not carried out. he is attended an african union summit in south africa. leaders are expected to discuss

south african government. they are of course awaiting the ruling from the high court which is due on monday about whether or not he does have to be handed over to the icc. but so far south africa is saying they've made an agreement with the african union who will not be handed over to the icc or arrested while in office. the au says there's no problem with him being in south africa and plan for the agenda to continue as usual. the african government is also basing their statements on a cabinet decision that the summit would be held in south africa. that's ultimately why he's had the freedom to come to the country. >> but south africa is a signatory to the icc. would they not be in contempt

vacuum. italy's coast guard has rescued more migrants trying to make it to europe over the weekend. a group of 75 that was intercepted off the coast on saturday. in another operation, 34 migrants were rescued from the north. around 200 migrants are stranded in a northern italian town and many are forced to camp on rocks outside of town and are blocked from entering the town from border police. they want to reach their families in other parts of europe and two ferries carrying about 2,000 syrian refugees arrived southwest of athens. they've been stranded for days after making their way from turkey. most are headed from athens. from there many will travel on to germany and other eu

countries a at least 12 people have been killed in the flooding including three zoo workers. here's more. >>reporter: an hippo wanders the road of tblisi freed from captivity from a deadly storm. a brown bear takes refuge on an air conditioning unit and a big cat lurks around a building. flash floods were surging through tblisi. dozens of properties have also been destroyed leaving some homeless. with large parts of the zoo still under water, it's unclear how many animals have perished or how many are still on the loose. one by one, the animals are being cornered. some killed and others recaptured. there's no reports the animals
