this is al jazeera america live from new york city. at least three people are recovering from gun shot wounds in fergueson, missouri. a night of violence ended a mostly peaceful weekend of demonstration toss mark one year since the death of michael brown. two teens were shot near a memorial to brown and a man is in critical condition after police say he shot at plains clothed officers. >> reporter: two teens were walking near an apartment complex near where michael brown was shot and someone from the back of a vehicle fired at the two teens. they were struck but sustained non-life-threatening injuries. at 11:00 shots rang out near a protest just as the fergueson

police chief was talking to reporters. the shootings happened when a man fired multiple shots at police. the police chief descriens what happened. >> the suspect engages them with gunfire right at the grill of the car. strike the hood. i don't know if you have seen pictures of it yet. strikes the windshield four or five times. the detectives returned fire from the inside of the van. they don't know if they hit him or not. the suspect ran to the east on the north side of that building. he turned back around as the detectives got out of the car. shots were fired again. >> reporter: the victim has not been identified. he remains in critical condition. a suspect will appear in a houston court this morning for killing eight people, including six children. we get more on the investigation.

do we know anything more about the motive here? >> reporter: yes, police say the suspect was in a dispute with one of the victims, a 40-year-old woman. prosecutors say he broke into his former home, restrained the victims and shot them. 48-year-old david connally is charged with fatally shooting a family of eight, six of them know which. the youngest was six years old. >> we cannot fully comprehend the motivation of an individual that would take the lives of so many innocent people. especially the lives of the young once. >> reporter: the motive, say police, may have been a domestic dispute between the man and his former partner. deputies received a call from a relative asking thome make a welfare check on the home. >> a male was in the home that had a warrant for an aggravated assault on a family member. an officer spots the body of a child through the window. >> deputy on the scene forced

entry into the home and were met with gunfire. >> reporter: after calling for back up and several hours of the stand off the suspect surrendered. police discovered the victims. >> the victims were found in each of the three bedrooms. >> reporter: he is charged with three counts of capital murder. >> reporter: felony burglary with murdering valeri. another count is killing multiple people in the same incident and then the other is for killing a child. >> reporter: police believe the oldest child, a 13-year-old was the suspect's own child. one of the counts of capital murder inud cloos killing multiple people in one instance. his criminal history dates back 20 years. >> thank you. the washington post reporter in iran may get a verdict within

turkish police have one suspect in custode and are searching for another after a pair of female attackers open fire. a police station was bombed. we get the latest. >> reporter: there were two people involved, we understand, in an attack on the u.s. consulate general building at a security post connected to the building. it's heavily fortified as you can see, built on a hoament top in a suburb out of the very center ofi ofi stan bull. a woman was heard to shout i did it for my party. the area around here has been reopened. and in the early hours on the asian side, there was an explosion at a police station. 10 people injured there.

three police officers. and after that explosion as forensic teams and bomb squad teams check the scene, two attackers attacking those to kill the scene. they were killed and a police officer were killed. this is where the last couple of weeks turkish security forces have been involved with the separatist pkk. a soldier was killed in a military helicopter attacked by rocket launchers and that military helicopter was moving troops and four police officers were killed when their vehicle hilt a roadside -- hit a roadside bomb. this happened near to the border with iraq and right at the very center of the tensions where the fighting is going on between
