away. the sooner we'll be able to manage. here's this update. >> a number of eu ministers meeting here have act no, ma'amed that the current system to deal with asylum seekers clearly doesn't work. the system is overwhelmed by the huge influx of people in recent days and weeks. and the rules p governing asylum is obviously not practical.

they're looking for an eu wide asylum system. but that wouldn't commit them from staying in that country. they would then be matched up with another place in europe. but at the same time, the eu would be looking as well as ways to identify people they believe are not qualified to receive asylum. and if it is believed by eu officials that a person has come to the union purely looking for work for economic reasons, they would not be granted asylum. but obviously how this mechanism would work needs to be worked out in more detail and we're expecting to hear more from european leaders on this very subject on the 14th of september

is so hopefully for the thai people, a referendum. but a rewriting is going to take six months so now of course there's a lot of september schism from people saying this is really asia rat. it's very much undemocratic. there's concern about people being able to have their say.
