u.s. customs officials ruined his trip to disneyland and didn't even give him a reason. we begin tonight with this horrible weather. the national weather service says that 14 tornadoes may have touched down today in mississippi. at least three deaths have been confirmed. more than 40 injuries in six different counties but that number is expected to rise. searchers in benton county are going door to door. all this is happening at a time when many americans are hitting the road or trying to head to airports. al jazeera's john terret is here with what it is predicted. it's brutal. >> this storm is making it worst for everyone around the country. a third of the nation is under weather advisory, the worst is deadly winter tornadoes. they are rare at this time of

year. just before christmas the last thing you want to see coming over the fields, a tornado. holly springs mississippi, a direct hit by a twister wednesday, leaving death and injury behind. according to the national weather service a tornado also touched down in indiana, multiple warnings issued across the west and midwest. 100 million people hit the road over the next two weeks, according to the aaa, more than ever before lured out by lower prices at the gas pumps. and they'll have to keep an eye on the skies as much as on the road. fog probably contributed to this deadly chain reaction crash in internet 9 in arkansas. tornado warnings are out across the midwest, alabama, mobile, caused flash flooding. more than 10 inches fell south of the city.

mosquito born virus. health officials say, 29 babies have died from the condition, the situation is so serious that some doctors are warning women not to get pregnant. until just a few years ago, human infection with that virus are almost unheard of. some think that climate change has caused that virus to pop up in far flung countries in the world. infant mortality has reached its lowest level ever but in some places it is still high, detroit is one of those places, health officials have now initiated new efforts to overcome that issue.
