elections are held under day or oversight that means that there's a big chance that will result in more of the same they will use the administrative resources and another third option is that they might actually try to come up with their own candidate for an m.p. for the next two weeks i take that since a bit unlikely. i was twenty seven people have been killed in an attack on a mosque in northeastern nigeria the explosion happened during afternoon prayers and movie in my state many people died in the second blast while attempting to get out of the building and say young man wearing a suicide vest entered the mosque with worshippers. more from the nigerian capital of the ship it happened as people were preparing for their afternoon prayers according to police it was a double bombing need twin bombing committed by two suicide bombers in half in the

5:11 am
prime minister benjamin netanyahu may have unveiled secret files and computer disks describing them as conclusive proof that iran's nuclear program did exist this was an innocent looking compound it looks like a dilapidated warehouse he may have shown a building in iran where he says israeli intelligence agencies had found the evidence but in vienna a former director of analysis for the international atomic energy agency isn't impressed netanyahu speech is the dates are all missing everything he presented it appears to be related to developing nuclear weapons was longer growers where there is nothing he presented about the war weapons program are there is news but netanyahu says the iranian program didn't end in two thousand and three it continued in secret the iran deal the nuclear issue is based on laws it's based on iranian law as any rain in deception
5:12 am
one hundred thousand files right here. prove that their log at the white house donald trump like what he saw and heard i think of anything what's happening today and what's happened over the last little while and what we've learned. has really shown that i've been one hundred percent right iran's foreign minister dismissed the allegations saying in this tweet breaking the boy who can't stop crying wolf is at it again undeterred by cup tune fiasco at the u.n. general assembly you can only fool some of the people so many times whatever the words action could come soon trump will announce his decision on the iran deal by the twelfth of this month in a statement the i.a.e.a. refers to a twenty fifteen report that found some activities in two thousand and three relevant to the development of a nuclear device but nothing after two thousand and nine britain and france have said the development from israel does not change their view in support of the deal
5:13 am
and other signatories remain steadfastly against the way the us appears to be leaning and drew simmons out zero zero white house is backing israel's assertion that iran deal was reached under false pretenses will help get us more. there are further indications that u.s. president donald trump intends to withdraw from the iran nuclear agreement this time at a white house press briefing with press secretary sarah sanders she admits that the white house did coordinate in advance of a press conference held by the israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu and will critics argue there was nothing new in terms of information about iran's nuclear program in that and in that press conference the white house press secretary says it is further proof that iran was not truthful about the extent of its program in advance of signing the iran agreement the deal was made on a completely false pretense iran lied on the front end they were dishonest actors
5:14 am
and so the deal that was made was made on things that weren't accurate and we have a big problem with that given the white house contention that the agreement was signed under what the press secretary called false pretenses it is a further indication that the united states is planning to withdraw from that agreement to limit iran's nuclear program the president has until may twelfth to make his decision potentially recertifying iran's compliance under the terms of the deal if he does not do that he may decide at that time to reimpose iran sanctions and israel's parliament has given the prime minister the power to declare war without full government approval politicians approve the change to the law which previously required the entire cabinet to vote on a declaration of war and means prime minister benjamin netanyahu will only need the approval of his defense minister to declare war in extreme situations has one chief awesomeness rollo's warning conflict could break out between who he calls the real backers of the syrian war tension has been rising between hezbollah supporters iran
5:15 am
and israel in recent months tehran has warned that it will respond to what it calls israeli aggression after the bombing of an arms depot in northern syria on sunday that suspected israel was behind that strike which reportedly killed twenty six people mostly iranians. in syria the proxies have been defeated the proxies have failed we are now facing a new stage the war with proxies is almost over however it can start with the real backers today we don't know how israel is behaving in syria. he's leaving syria and the region the same thing applies to america america israel and saudi arabia will not stand still after the project in syria have failed after their project in iraq has failed and after the project of. joining us from washington d.c. is hillary mann leverett c.e.o.'s for change of political risk consultancy she also served in the u.s.
5:16 am
state department and has shared with iran and thank you so much for joining us always appreciate it so clearly the presentation by benjamin netanyahu which those types of presentations are new from him and obviously it's aimed at ripping up the nuclear deal the j. c.p.o. a is it a and it also going to war. in some ways i think it is i think for the israeli there and for prime minister netanyahu i should say in particular who i've seen up close while i served in the u.s. government in the clinton administration when he was first prime minister and in the bush administration too when he came to go the u.s. congress that the u.s. should invade iraq so i've seen his his actions up close from when i worked at the national security council in the white house and in the state department right for prime minister netanyahu i think it is critically important that israel be able to reassert reestablish its absolute military dominance and this is critically
5:17 am
important for them in two areas in the nucular realm because iran cannot possibly have any kind of nuclear project that could check israeli ambitions and in syria they israelis are very concerned that they don't have absolute military dominance in syria because of iran's presence there so i think the israelis are very focused on going to war if necessary to reinstate reestablish their absolute military dominance the problem is that israel really can't do it by itself right now and so they're trying to go the united states to go to war for them. so we talk about syria right and israel is concerned about the iranian influence there and they have been pushing and pushing and pushing iran at some point might iran push back. i think there's a debate in iran i think you have president rouhani and foreign minister zarif are longtime champions of negotiation i sincerely believe having negotiated with the
5:18 am
now foreign minister zarif when he was a lower official in the iranian government after nine eleven i think there is no issue that he thinks you cannot meet with dialogue he is absolutely firmly committed to negotiation and for dialogue as a as a as an important resolution to any problem but there is a debate there are others in iran that think that iran success its effectiveness in surviving the revolution and establishing its own its own destiny is really because of its military its ability to build an independent military program and so for that part of the debate in iran it's extremely important to resist what the israelis are doing resist what the united states is doing and to deter the united states and israel i don't think though that they will do something provocative especially before may twelfth before the elections in iraq the elections on may sixth in lebanon and the deadline for the iran nuclear deal here i think the iranians will lay low until at least may twelfth and even that i don't think
5:19 am
they're going to do something that will any of the international community but they will do something that will tell the israelis and washington that iran is not going to just take this take this lying down when you said that i mean go back to the first point that you made that you thought that you know clearly iran israel rather is trying to get the u.s. on board with them how receptive do you think the u.s. is to that it certainly seems that on some level at least president donald trump is but you know there's a lot of advisor city has it seem to be on different pages there. to me this is the million dollar question there is real divide and a back and forth within the trump administration and who can influence whom in the trump administration is critically important on a range of issues we see this in terms of saudi arabia we see this or you run israel on a range of issues trump himself i don't think has any four principles he on one hand wants to get the united states out of the middle east and so he can then turn
5:20 am
to a more cautious advisers like his defense secretary jim mattis but on the other hand he thinks that using highly militaristic rhetoric and even very provocative militaristic actions helps give him leverage and so in that area he's turning more and more to his new national security adviser john bolton who is extremely militaristic personality very close to prime minister netanyahu and so i think for trump he's he's turning to each of these advisers when he thinks that they can help him but he hasn't chosen one over the other at this point hillary mann leverett all are always great to talk to you thank you very much morocco has ever diplomatic ties with iran accusing to iran of supporting the polisario front hall sario is fighting for independence for western sahara which is under mostly rock and control q. says iran and its lebanese ally has a lot of supporting training and arming its fighters will close its embassy in
5:21 am
tehran a mole expelled the iranian ambassador and reply. the reason behind what we did today is related to a threat to our national security and to the safety of our citizens morocco has obtained strong indications and evidence that hezbollah in coordination with and support from the iranian embassy. has provided all kinds of support to the posts are you to form a military commando and to train the post sorry that they even handed arms to the palace are you in september and november i have handed all this evidence today to my iranian colleague during a visit to tehran. china's foreign minister a set to arrive in north korea for a two day visit the highest ranking chinese official to visit the north and three. relations have been strained over a card in chinese exports to pyongyang as part of sanctions against its nuclear program a comes as north korea's leader kim jong un wants to improve ties with neighboring countries and march he visited beijing in his first overseas trip as a leader joining us from beijing by skype is tongue senior fellow in the nuclear

summary and also i think there are two specific items coming out of that interference i mean meeting dads might concern china one the the what's the next step after can do all your needs wades us presidents don't trump by june there is a mission being about a broadening. both that is into either true or cold will not actually need to impose this and i don't want to make sure that it's in and a full on discussions china will have the seats and the negotiating table there is another nation about which no it's closing down its nuclear test decides. as a result of interpreting some of it i think that has the interest to also be included in this approach that's the nuclear test site it's also very close to the chinese border with let me let me ask you this. and you talked about how china has sort of
5:24 am
been left out of this you know on the one hand and president donald trump in the us a pivot a lot of pressure on china to in terms of pressure on north korea at the same time for the past few weeks few months donald trump has been. you know had this just a lot of tough rhetoric about almost a trade war with china so he's asking for one thing and then kind of pulling them on the other hand at some point isn't he going to need china again for this all to work. i think president where you can give the can the chinese help in the cooperation. it's still important for china to continue implementing the u.n. security council resolutions in terms of imposing sanctions on north korea and implementing those i'm sure and in the comprehensive manner that it will make sure that the pressure will be kept on north korea so people. will seat at the new
5:25 am
negotiating table for as long as possible but another major factor it's also true which is the china u.s. strategic rivalry is growing especially over the positive people minds of so many chinese scholars becoming increasingly warry the u.s. and north korea might reach a deal that the screwed china from this process and also could undermine chinese interests so there is a very same sentiments in the academic community in beijing that china should develop a closer relationship with north korea making sure that u.s. and north korea wouldn't collude together against china in the future ok. tong south thank you very much for joining us from beijing and having the french president is on his first official trip to australia enjoying the prime minister malcolm turnbull and commemorating those who lost their lives in the two world wars

about communications he had with russia pled guilty and is cooperating with the investigation trump took to twitter to defend himself writing it would seem very hard to obstruct justice for a crime that never happened witch hunt but that's not how this actually works if investigators are looking into a crime and someone tries to interfere with that investigation that in and of itself is a crime and a potentially impeachable offense regardless of what they find in the original investigation he also went on twitter to complain and say in part that it was disgraceful that the questions were leaked to the media no questions on collusion he wrote a couple of problems with that the new york times says the leak came from trump's side and asked for no collusion most of the questions are actually about collusion we've already seen plenty of evidence of collusion this is not the first piece but obviously if mr man apart was in fact talking to you. russians about the campaign

that would put it at the very top of the trump campaign that would be very close to mr trump himself this is a high stakes question for the president talk to moeller and why that's a crime or sit down and refuse to answer questions that could have serious political repercussions but either way the clock is ticking he'll soon have to decide what to do. washington millions are privately owned homes could be seized by the government and syria under a new property law syrians have until the middle of next month to present thirteen's of ownership or risk losing their properties said whoa to reports from neighboring beirut. was forced to flee because of the war now he doesn't just fear permanent exile in his own country but losing his home in do much to. the syrian government is threatening to confiscate the homes of anyone who don't provide land ownership deeds that requires returning to government controlled territory for many that is not an option.
