right now a force one touchdown at stansted airport just outside of london this is around two two and a half hours ago today working visit not the original state visit which had been on the cards but he will still be meeting queen elizabeth the second as well as prime minister to resign may trump also head up to scotland he owns a couple of golf courses up there of course that we don't know exactly to say what he will be doing there and where it will be we know that we're going to talk to nadine barber who is that the u.s. is out there in london there now to explain to me what's going on behind you a lot of security. that's right kamal as you were saying not a state visit but it is a visit that's being accompanied by a huge amount of security detail american and british those fences around three meters high have been put up around the u.s. ambassador's residence where donald trump just been having what they're calling a town a whole gathering full mainly americans based here there was a steady stream of people
12:01 am
a few hours ago it's all over now we're waiting for him to leave. we've seen helicopters come and go here we going to blend them palis outside london for a banquet dinner tonight meeting business leaders and politicians but wherever he goes there is a huge amount of security you can probably just see a few british officers but just on the surrounding roads very very large presence and in fact thousands of officers have been redeployed both in the southeast of england and in scotland right through to sunday to ensure that there is no trouble within the the root of a president trouble actually going is big business on friday at checkers the prime minister's official countryside residence they'll be having a working lunch and then a press conference he's already before he arrived slightly embarrassed if you like trees are made by going there on bricks saying that perhaps what people are going to being offered on bricks it isn't what they voted for she's just published
12:02 am
a new white paper a new plan he's suggested that it doesn't that it's too too close to europe so i mean he's certainly not trying to to be diplomatic ahead of this visit will wait and see what comes out on friday and how little going down with the public i suggested at the start of our broadcast that maybe people in england particularly needed a bit of a distraction now the world cup so nothing like a presidential visit. it was those comments i was mentioning came out of the end of the nato summit where he was asked about the protests he says i think it's fine i think people in britain like me a lot he said that they support him on immigration for example well do they like him not really the latest opinion poll suggests that seventy seven percent of the population have an unfavorable opinion of him but fifty percent think the visit should go ahead and that's partly explained by the fact that there are huge protests. planned for friday in central london tens of thousands of people expected
12:03 am
to march even tonight there's a gathering and we expect the protesters trying to keep president trump up keep trump awake protests that might be small but friday should be big in central london and also in saturday in edinburgh a carnival of protests organized and attended by various groups antiwar groups women's rights marchers and so on and they're all keen to to to demonstrate that they do actually have a right to protest as trump says himself he's happy about it some politicians here have suggested of things like flying a giant balloon showing trump has a baby in a nappy a disrespectful he says he's ok with that we wait to see exactly how he reacts if he does but it is certainly something that people like of the mayor of london city can have encouraged people to come out and show their opposition to some of his policies you know right now is outside the u.s. ambassador's residence in london thank you nadeem and he mentioned it there because
12:04 am
when we talk about trump protests in the u.k. there is something that's really looming quite large over all of this tell us about the big baby so there is a six metre high giant inflatable balloon of donald trump which is expected to fly over london during his visit the caricature which shows the president as a giant baby is seen wearing and nappy and cutting a mobile phone while the organizers say that it reflects trance character as an act . baby with her fragile ego and tiny hand less than. we have already got some clothes on sweets suggesting we should be shut down which was part of the conversation we had with the sorts of places morningstar actually. going to be scrambling to protect from baby on the more they see me we can say you know. make sure there's noise suspicious characters in the crowd carrying count post so if you're still going in the other. well the blimp will fly for two hours on friday
12:05 am
morning using parliament square as a grounding point in the campaign as have raised about thirty nine thousand dollars to pay for the balloon and also seven thousand people have signed a petition calling for permission to fly it's in scotland and over ten thousand people have signed a petition just to fly it in london and while the mayor of london has given the all clear his spokesman has told reuters that he supports the right to peaceful protests and understands that this can take many different forms it's also important to point out though that the mayor and the u.s. president have previously clashed on twitter over a number of issues related to domestic events in the u.k. and the blimp has generated a lot of discussion online the journalist piers morgan responded to this move by saying if obama was president and someone suggested flying a giant black baby balloon of a parliament sidique khan would branded racist and offensive and stop it this trump
12:06 am
balloon is a hypocritical disgrace and then andrew called that juvenile disrespectful and also offensive adding that there are ways to demonstrate and this is not one of them we also heard from judy a comment from republicans overseas. i'm glad to see that president trump is coming to the u.k. to hopefully strengthen the relationship between both of our great countries well always projects women's right to protest it's a beautiful right it's worth pointing out that these protesters have totally lost the plot the mayor of london has totally lost the plot it's not about the man it's not about trumpet it's not about theresa may it's about the u.k. and the the us it's about making both of our countries better in every way possible in strengthening our ties but there are support for the plan as well poor argues that transactions justify the right to u.k. public protests and the baby exemplifies british tradition of satire and mockery and rosetta added send him a saying that the criticism of the tikhon for ordering
12:07 am
a baby trampoline is a lot of hot air and has been blown up out of proportion but the balloon is expected to draw thousands of protests are fired as the team barbara has said in addition to another march dubbed stop trump the organizers are calling this a carnival of resistance in response to the u.s. president's visit and other protests will be taking place in bristol newcastle leeds cambridge and also cardiff meanwhile the u.s. embassy has issued a warning to american citizens in the u.k. to keep a low profile sharing trump's visit we do want to hear from you are you protesting or do you oppose it kept that is the hash tag aging is great thanks for here we have got another opinion piece to share with you here it is the baby's there again it's new down to zero don't come this says they were previewing the stop trump march on friday it's by nick did in his from the campaign group global justice now he reckons of it let's read it the stakes are high the public knows that which is

why fraud is protest is likely to be the largest since the two thousand and two protest against the iraq war i think there was i mean they called it a million man march back then didn't anyway this is called why we will march to stop trump on july thirteenth you can read it on july twelfth get ahead of the game . at al jazeera dot com now we have brought sport and with santa a little bit earlier today because it's kind of been hard to ignore the conversation about the world cup you're going to tell us england croatia and two very different sides and no nothing to do need to come up with a new song now ok coming home. oh you've gone from thirty two teams that a few weeks ago down to two france will face croatia in the world cup final sunday tens of thousands of supporters packed into fans sones in london and that group to watch the semifinal between england and croatia both sets of fans went wild when their teams schooled the first goal. but it was quite the contrast often my humans

well there was a maze for it in kuwait but the national side hasn't seen the success that other teams have had as a douche on new college reports there are new there are now big hopes that's about to change and how big football is in crazy eyes i can tell you by the fact that gratian won't you know almost every other sports almost everything fresh was a world champion european champion many other sports in tennis and can ball in moscow ball but everybody loves football and everybody was waiting for something big to happen in football everybody regarded that semifinal in one thousand nine hundred what racial last two fronts that game everybody regarded it as one of the biggest successes of croatian sports ever so today and now this is the biggest success of the coalition and the sportsman of footballers are glorified in the media as heroes and everybody look at them as heroes and they'll be they'll be don't be welcomed on monday here whatever they do in sunday's final as big heroes
12:12 am
nobody believes the grace of will lose that final but even if they lose that final deal be a welcome here as be heroes so crazy is that celebrating but they're looking forward to the finally to believe that grace you can win that final against ross well if you go in there has been set up in moscow and is getting fast thinking about the best memories from previous tournaments and there isn't that went and had a look around. this is the jewels remain a trophy first bite for the world cup in one thousand nine hundred thirty and won by uruguay last lifted by brazil in one thousand nine hundred seventy four is replaced by the trophy that will be on show at the final on sunday here in moscow it isn't the original children a trophy that was stolen in brazil in the nineteen eighties and it's never been found all that's left of the original is the blue marble base is just one of the items on show at an exhibition in moscow celebrating some of the key moments and
12:13 am
memories from the previous twenty world cups don't we all have our very very individual special moment at the world cup when we really get emotional about it the very personal cup we can think of that we pull out onto the for example and this is what the people here experience they see the object that they don't about the stories they get emotional about it and then they talk to other parents about their emotional moments if you thought conversations about video assistant referee we knew then think again take a look at this telegram sent by german fan after the nine hundred sixty six world cup final in which he suggests the use of video replays to this day no one is quite sure if a goal scored by england's geoff hurst in that game did or didn't cross the line or england won't be involved in any controversy at this year's final after their last four defeat instead it's croatia making history they'll be playing in the final for the first ever time outside the exhibition is an oversized version of the sort of

wall chart we've all been feeling at home with the french and creation flags now taking center stage is progress has come after three games all involving extra time so never affect if you play an extra ninety minutes an extra match when compared to france and they've got a day less to recover ahead of the final unprecedented achievement at these finals will be remembered as one of the hardest moments of all. all the. for the game it's not coming home has been trending on twitter means that sent this image of just god on the phone saying hey mom saw i was wrong it's not coming home we are but you know treated so all this time when they said it's coming home they were talking about the team not the actual cup understand now how this bonus fan treated this actually nothing is coming home except the british who is with overhyped players and had an image of captain harry kane checking in at the airport with

staying with the football thing going to tell you about one man's long journey to a better life and how it's football changing his life and then later in an energy deal with political crisis the prime minister said he was putting up fuel prices that led to riots and looting and now calls for his resignation in port au prince and the latest. hello there there's not a great deal of cloud showing up on our middle east chance at all at the moment we can see the winds feeding down from the north the picking up a little bit of dust as they do say but the showers mostly are in the far northern parts of our map around down mati and also in the west as well we're seeing quite a few showers make their way down from parts of russia into georgia and into azerbaijan and i think this is the region we're likely to see more showers as we head through saturday as well a bit further towards the south and here in doha the temperature or hour around
12:18 am
forty three degrees at the moment we are seeing some winds coming from the east that's the direction that drags in or are humidity so it's still quite sticky forty two forty three degrees will be our maximum as we head through the next couple of days for the south coast of iran more cloud here as you would expect to this time of year my gives a little bit of drizzle times as well dentals in southern parts of africa and here we've just got a bit of cloud along the far south coast that's giving us a fair amount of rain though and also bringing in some rather strong winds it's working its way towards the east and as it does say is going to drag down the temperatures so capetown no higher than around fourteen or fifteen degrees as we head through the next few days and they could be quite a good deal of cloud around as well that system gradually pushes up the eastern coast as we head into saturday durban is looking quite. of opinion and wits that take that view is no point to make an argument that i have

london and its planned protests for the trump visit have a look at what's trending this i don't see with. austria is hosting a two day amazing with european justice and home affairs minister the scuffing the growing numbers of migrants reaching the european coast it is austria is in the germany trying to put more pressure on a u. allies to reduce the number of migrants coming to europe in recent weeks italy is of course turned away some of the private rescue boats which ended up going to spain. just have a look at this quickly some of the most up to date figures were actually only two days ago these were published by the international organization for migration a total of forty seven thousand six hundred thirty seven arrivals in europe this year this is just why the mediterranean sea and as always it is spain italy and greece which take the most and though it is interesting to see actually that spain
12:22 am
has received almost the same number as italy have that's not been the case in the past you've also got those blue boxes highlighted at the bottom which totals up to one thousand four hundred twenty two people who haven't made it across the sea they are either dead or presumed dead it has dominant chinese live at the summit and spoke of story of fourscore beautiful setting there isn't it dominick tell us about what's come out of this meeting today. you know it's very beautiful setting here in the foothills of the austrian alps in. well this meeting twenty eight ministers home affairs ministers interior ministers of the e.u. brought together by the austrian presidency of the e.u. to discuss what you've just been talking about that the numbers of people coming across the mediterranean and then making landfall in the e.u. claiming asylum and then perhaps moving on to another country to try to claim asylum elsewhere this idea of second reminding migration it's been a real buzzword for the german government people will recall over the course of the
12:23 am
last few weeks it seemed as if the german government would fall it didn't because they found an accommodation now this meeting is all about trying to broaden that accommodation as it were and particular relevance to us a suppose is the meeting that took place much earlier on today between the three interior ministers who who matter in the central mediterranean migration route as it's called that's namely it's only austria and germany how people get to italy and then move their way up the italian peninsula into central europe and then on into western europe that's very much been discussed here and the idea of what can be done to ease the burden on the italian government when people arrive in italy right so it's in sync as we focus a lot obviously on the route coming across the mediterranean but it seems as much a challenge about the if i can call them internal borders within within europe and controlling those. yes exactly that this idea of the schengen zone this border free zone once you're physically in on the
12:24 am
continent of europe inside the zone of countries that have agreed to remove their border controls for a long time for decades now that has been the situation but there are those people who say that the shang in zone encourages secondary migration because people aren't checked when they move from one country to another the interesting thing is the german government has been very vociferous vehement even in saying that there should be some kind of border controls the point though is there are three areas on the shared border between germany and austria where there is control but i've been to several different parts of the austrian german borders where it's easy to walk across no one checks to can drive across you could cyclocross you could row across rivers walk across and no one will tell so the point here is how do they find an accommodation that controls borders but also keeps them inside the shang ins and so far at least you can offer words about it but no real policies have come from this meeting dominant came his in spoke in austria thank you for that dominic we're also

looking at immigrations in the united states in the trumpet ministrations says all eligible migrant children under five will be returned to their parents by today thursday there of course among the more than two thousand separated at the us mexico border on the donald trump's zero tolerance immigration policy a federal judge had set tuesday deadline for the reunifications and at this day of course still not clear what happens to the older children but let's check in with you have returns in washington d.c. what more can you tell us on this one i mean it's good news i guess that these children are finally be reunited but wow it's come late. right and it's still not complete actually the figures have been all over the place all week so it's quite easy to get a bit confused by some of them in fact the government says by seven am eastern standard time this morning as day fifty seven children have been reunited with their parents the problem with that number to start with is on tuesday the
12:26 am
government was quite clear as far as he was concerned sixty three children were eligible to have been reunited by tuesday and he said you better have that done as quickly as possible that any amount fifty thousand we've got questions in to various departments are trying to find out why there is a discrepancy but the face of it they haven't even managed to to meet the judge's deadline on the sixty three eligible children that he wanted reunited by tuesday so despite the broad rather triumphant call we had from the department of health and human services that they have met the deadline they failed in all sorts of respects in trying to reunite these children under five with the parents the court has accepted that some children are able to be reunified with their parents because it might endanger the child for example a parent might have a criminal record of violence and so on so they don't want to put the child into that kept the court hasn't accepted the government's argument that because they've deported some twelve parents already that they have no responsibility to reunite the child when the parent now the court says you've got to try and find these
12:27 am
parents and reunite them with the administration claims the parents deported were deported and voluntarily left that children here because they want their children to have a better life in the u.s. whatever writing no evidence of this in addition we've got all sorts of reports right age aid workers that suggest that parents have been pressured into being deported in order with the welfare of their children put a stake in so and so there are all sorts of questions the government needs to back everything up there the court is being very strong on this and they say look you have to provide reasons why these children aren't being reunited with their parents that will be fought in court on friday the a.c.l.u. the american civil liberties union will go through that list and if the government is found not to have acted in good faith penalties will be coming. share a chance with an update on the border immigration situation in the us thank you flip it a little bit and think about what we know about the countries where many of these people have come from the fled from our friends and i j plus have this look at why
12:28 am
so many are taking refuge seeking refuge in the us. unless you know the history of central america then don't comment condemn the parents who are sending their children here and. they don't talk about why you're pushed to come here why we feel the need to take on that huge risk because coming here is deadly you face a risk of rape of getting trafficked of going missing of dying on your journey a lot of the reporting that is coming out about the issue fails to acknowledge the
12:29 am
fact that the children involved are primarily central america when we talk about keeping families together we may be specific about how we want it to be for me that means abolishing ice. there's one thing that we know less about is how this violence came about in these countries and the u.s. has a role to play in it and is still playing that role of also noticed a lot of reports that fail to provide proper context or bypass any necessary discussion that we should be having about the complicity of the u.s. government just between and what they got i was and there have been numerous u.s. intervention in their countries and those interventions included u.s. funded right. though they have included us stalled authoritarian leaders and we're talking about massacre and civil wars and all of these how very real
12:30 am
consequences let's talk about how the united states has supported these leaders that. constantly part us private interests and hundred official private interests before the hundred people the us shouldn't be doing what it's doing to these countries in the first place but given that it is the least it can do is let the people in. here at the live or not a whole lot going on though i do want to show you this man here the name is peter struck oh here you remember hillary clinton's e-mails and how often donald trump talked about it will this man struck as an f.b.i. agent who led the investigation into hillary clinton's e-mail use prize of the election he is testifying before congress today i would suspect we might see a tweet from a certain someone about that a little bit later on so that's going up on capitol hill right at the moment if we go to london now and here is lawrence taylor with more international news for us i

learned. syrian government forces and their russian allies have raised the national flag over darrow's old city so hugely symbolic moment in the seven year war as the area was the birthplace of the uprising against president bashar al assad rebel factions in the city now have agreed to a surrender deal and will soon begin to hand over weapons seven hundred is monitoring events from neighboring lebanon. the syrian flag hoisted in the old city of a very symbolic move the old city was under the control of the rebels since two thousand and twelve the provincial capital has been divided for years the rebel factions in that asked city surrendering overnight to agreeing to hand over their weapons to the syrian government and the russian military clearly this is a strategic win for the syrian government this is also a symbolic win like we mentioned city really is where it all began where the protest movement against the rule of president bashar assad began in march two

thousand and twelve when people took to the streets demanding for freedom and demanding for reforms only to be met by. security forces who who opened fire on those protesters and a lot has happened since then now there is a full blown war and the syrian government is now in control of sixty percent of the country but there is little reconciliation and peace in syria so a city the latest rebel enclave to surrender into the provinces approximately more than eighty percent of the province is now under the control of the syrian government that is definitely a strategic when the government claiming control of its border with jordan and in control of the main border crossing which will allow it to resume international trade but there is a pocket of territory in that are controlled by i still and the government has started to target this area but

a full blown offensive to recapture this i still pockets in what is known as the yarmouk basin that has still not begun. is ready supreme court has temporarily blocked a demolition order for the homes of a bedouin community in the occupied west bank. was set to be cleared despite it being this since before israel's occupation of the area over fifteen years ago harry force it has more from western. well this is the very least a stay of execution for the people of qana last march a bedouin community of nearly two hundred people in the occupied west bank it did seem that a long threatened demolition was impending with the moving in of the heavy machinery of the israeli state the israeli military in recent days as they seemed to be preparing the way for that demolition to take place there had been a legal judgment by the israeli supreme court at the end of may which said that such a demolition would be illegal and then last week there was a petition lodged by activists which said that an alternative plan that had been
12:34 am
filed by them to the israeli civil war florence's allowing for coming to be made into a proper permanent community with plumbing and electricity that that had not been fully evaluated and accounted for and so they were petitioning against the demolition the supreme court has not accepted that but it hasn't dismissed it either and it says there needs to be a hearing on that question at no later than august the fifteenth so it does seem that there could be some weeks in which there will be more time for the activists to pressure or to try to call at least for pressure internationally against this demolition it is about more than this one small community it's about a long held israeli plan called the e.u. one settlement plan which would allow it to link up illegal sentence settlements in the occupied west bank encircled east jerusalem more fully and indeed according to palestinians really splits the occupied west bank into between a northern and a southern sector. a german court has ruled it can extradite catalonia is for many

12:36 am
yeah on thursday various opposition political parties again reaffirm that they are calling for the prime ministers to step down they're putting a lot of pressure on the president to try to also put pressure on the prime minister as well to step down now in terms of the scene here in the streets of the capital of port au prince the protests have mostly subsided but that does not mean everything is calm people here are very worried that the violent protests could kick off again at any moment we see that the pro that the international airport here is busier than normal more people trying to leave the country the streets here in port au prince are less people on the streets some businesses remain closed and when sunset begins here we've noticed that people are simply going home to stay inside this is very much a country and the capital city it is tense because they don't not want to see these protests flare up again but they know that there is a dark standoff here with the prime minister there is going to be
12:37 am
a no confidence vote by the parliament held on saturday everybody waiting to see what is going to happen as of now though it's tense because up until now the prime minister has given zero indication he plans to step down. through testers again on the streets unlike the demonstrations over the weekend these remained peaceful the police closely watched the crowd and shut it down before the demonstration could grow in size the protesters say they will be back to underline their demand for the resignation of haiti's prime minister jackie. the prime minister's trying to hold on to power his government in crisis after his call for short fuel increases nearly a week ago set off the protests he spoke briefly after meeting with the head of the parliament he gave no indication of any plan to step down. this
12:38 am
morning i met with the head of the national assembly joseph lambert and we talked about our common interests and how we can move forward from the current crisis. has only been prime minister for seven months he had never held public office before there is now a growing consensus here both with the business community and also with the poor that his government is weak and his days in power are numbered. a vote of confidence has been scheduled in the parliament for saturday there isn't hence pressure on the prime minister to step down before then. a change of government won't fix anything the problem is the system it's rotten and can't bring change on its own we need to change the whole political system otherwise there's no hope for haiti. i hope the parliament votes the prime minister out of office we need a government that's more representative and a prime minister who can bring people together. more protests are expected in the
12:39 am
days to come some haitians worry that if the prime minister refuses to go it could provoke the opposition and raise the risk of even more violence for now most here believe it's not a matter of if but when. couple quick comments from you that have come in with a hashtag on facebook someone's actually just said this is on the football on croatia eastern european country with a female president making the first world cup final round of applause so my round of applause this one round of applause and also. talked about the migrant issue in europe and said how can this be called helping refugees and these are the numbers i showed you from the i.o.m. one thousand four hundred twenty two people drown even when it's amazing the sinking closer to europe something must be done in africa and that is a big argument as well that conditions need to be improved at home to actually stop people trying to make the trip in the first place always looking for your feedback a.j.
