from the neon lights of asia. to the city that never sleeps. hello the spring rains are proving to be quite excitable a moment in the whole of south america is a big mass of cloud here in southern brazil there's more work its way well from bolivia darting across the border into northwest of argentina all these areas i think develop in the next day or so so showers will stretch down the eastern side of the andes possibly circulation for with significant rain seems likely from the sun's young east was into rio and probably coverings are paolo and increasing i think we'll see some rain develop in the northwest area argentina such a good bit of spring with this as is wanted and expected but we still got quite a lot of action in the caribbean little less so than we have in the middle recently but certainly in the winter woods and leawood other smaller islands because of frequency showers and off the coast of mexico the pacific coast of mexico as a potential for development which is in housing the rain on the coast indeed we see
9:47 pm
a lot of rain up through mexico and texas in the last two or three days not carry on i think and texas isn't entirely free from further down both does not be as heavy as they were so the flooding will be allowed to decrease to some degree but that line of cryer that runs up to the appalachians not through the east coast is one that could redevelop rain in the next day or so but not hopefully too much. the weather sponsored by cattle and peace. if you are in beijing looking out the pacific ocean you'd see american warships when mess was that somehow time as aiming to replace america and going to run the world college chinese are not that stupid these guys want to dominate a huge chunk of the planet this sounds like a preparation for our first president george washington said if you want peace prepare for war the coming war on china part one on a jersey you know. al-jazeera

disappeared. turkish investigators say they found significant evidence inside the saudi consul general residence in a stumble. also a major setback to saudi financial plans as the u.k.'s trade minister joins the dutch and french ministers is pulling out of a crucial investment conference. let's get going it's been more than two weeks now since the journalist. walked into the saudi consulate in istanbul and did not walk out during those two weeks of
9:50 pm
uncertainty we've been following the story closely the latest information we have is that turkish investigators looking for evidence linked to his disappearance completed searching two of saudi arabia's diplomatic buildings in istanbul they spent more than twelve hours looking through both the consulate and the consul general's residence turkey's sources have told al-jazeera quotes important samples were found during the search. was last seen entering the consulate on october the second an eleven minute ordeal recording from inside that building has been leaked to turkish media it suggests assad she was attacked and killed inside the building investigators and turning their attention to the fifteen member group of saudis who they suspect killed her one of the men has learned is a bodyguard to the crown prince mohammed bin. let's cross live to. correspondent outside the building there what's the latest on the investigation.
9:51 pm
well peter as you outlined there there is more and more information that is being released as every day goes by obviously a lot of that is linked to the searches that have been taking place headed by the attorney general's office here in turkey but also based on the investigators piecing together this web of. the century conspiracy behind those who. targeted and our beliefs of killed. at the heart of its current view at least in terms of the implementation not necessarily the planning and the ordering of this but at least in terms of the implementation is manhood he was the intelligence that's true the embassy the saudi embassy in london but more specifically and more recently he's been pictured and you'll see this on our screens now with the crown prince mohammed bin saddam and in some of his most high profile foreign visits to
9:52 pm
the united states and the united kingdom just to name true the turkish authorities say it was under his name that these two private jets belonging to a company which actually has direct links also true the royal court in saudi arabia it was under his name that those two jets were booked upon those jets throughout many of the fifteen members of this hit squad the they've been billed as they left turkey less than twenty four hours after arriving in the morning and throughout those twenty four hours we've seen now images of him entering the building behind me we've seen images of him checking into a hotel for five nights but actually not even spending one mights there and obviously now he is the center of investigation with regards to as we say the implementation his closeness his proximity to crown prince mohammed bin saddam is what leads many to believe that he was simply executing orders that would have only been able to come from somebody as high up as
9:53 pm
a perm prince so clearly we have to set. of evidence we've got circumstantial evidence we've got an association there because this individual was clearly within the ring of trust in riyadh and we've got actual evidence we've got the evidence that was found inside the consulate building and inside the consul general residence which is about two hundred meters from where you're standing right now do we know the nature of that hard evidence of what the turkish authorities plan to do with it next. well you know just to pick up on the thread there those are the two types of evidence what we don't have or at least what the don't have and haven't told us is a body and the you know the saying goes you know there's no more murder without a body we understand that the authorities are currently searching three locations as if you remember i had mentioned this in one of my reports around a week ago where they had zoned in on three specific areas obvious stumble they've begun looking into them specifically there's some forest land in an area north east
9:54 pm
i believe of stumble called bill grad and there are two other areas where these are fast vast areas of like i say woodland forest and trees and so forth they are looking into those areas we don't quite sure whether they're looking there for remnants of a body whether they're looking there for weapons or tools used in the alleged dismemberment of you but it's definitely you have every over interest which the authorities are now increasing their attention and focus on in the past few hours in terms of the other evidence that we had i mean there have been these leaks as we've been saying all along and it is important excuse me to remind ourselves and our viewers about this that this isn't being looked at simply from a criminal investigation perspective this is much bigger than that this is about geopolitics this is about big interest groups this is about the might of the saudi
9:55 pm
oil markets and the money that they've been exposed using to brush off their image and to build new alliances this is about donald trump the white house in the interest between him and this is how do well family as he himself has been speaking about all of this is coming to play and above all this is about turkey and the strain it's had also on his foreign policy and its attempt to try and walk this very tightrope between. you know responding to a blatant. affront to its new sovereignty but also not adding the next. strain on to this foreign policy which already sees it struggling to cope with crises in syria iraq and many other places all of that means that unfortunately when it comes to releasing the evidence when it comes through being able to come out forthright this stuff needs to be packaged in a way by the politicians the statement and those who actually have the power so that they can find a narrative that they all agree on which may not necessarily give us the entirety
9:56 pm
of the truth jamal thanks very much more now from matheson on turkish investigators are looking for in relation to her show g.'s suspected killing these other fifteen men turkish media say are linked to the disappearance of saudi journalist general hushmail ji it original line up was first published in the turkish pro-government newspaper new york times says it's identified that some of them may have links to saudi prince mohammed bin solomon nakata other lizzie's mo tribe is described as a diplomat assigned to the saudi embassy in london eleven years ago this is one of several photos the newspapers published showing with prince solomon another man is named as. a hobby and you'll times says a saudi news outlet has reported that someone with that name was promoted to lieutenant in the royal guard for bravery for defending princess palace in jeddah.
9:57 pm
the newspaper also says an additional alleged member of the saudi team muhammad side ronnie has the same name as another member of the royal god now this man is reported to be salah muhammad too by the turkish investigators say he's an expert in autopsies for saudi arabia's internal security agency the turks also say meshad sonny is a lieutenant in the saudi air force born in one thousand nine hundred seven a photo of a man it is terrible airport appears to match the facebook profile of a man with that name now almost all the information about the original fifteen suspects seems to have come from the turkish government turkish investigators say they've identified at least two of the men the identities of the others have been tracked down by the new york times and other sources using social media public records saudi news reports and witnesses well the investigation into her showed she's disappearance has been plagued with setbacks and problems raising questions
9:58 pm
about is very credibility it took turkish investigators thirteen days to get access to the saudi consulate in istanbul and only in the last twenty four hours of the being allowed into the consul general's residence nearby hours before that the first search of the consulate cleaners were filmed going into the building with mops and buckets saudi arabia's consul general hasn't been available for interview he reportedly flew out of turkey on tuesday more than two weeks after jamal khashoggi was last seen entering the consulate despite reports of his murder investigators still have no body let's stay with the story and talk to martin riordan martin a senior vice president at the soufan group he joins us on set here and this investigation is it kind of curtailed from day one anyway just because of the way the choreography of it hasn't apparently worked very well so it has as far as the investigation and early on turkish government said that they have proof. indicating
9:59 pm
that video was going on forcing the saudis into the next move but your point about having to wait thirteen days to actually conduct the crime scene the cleaning crew going in there before hand. there's a lot that could be done to clean up that crime scene it doesn't mean that the turkish government or crime scene experts there cannot find some evidence particularly hairs and fibers that can be tied to. or d.n.a. evidence how much damage does this do to the relationship between saudi arabia america. and europe where they between saudi arabian america it's yet to be determined but president trump was adamant that saudi arabia is a very important ally of the united states it is and that he was with you that he would take action but that economic action as far as cutting off arms deals was off the table congress has a lot to say in this and coming up in an election year american public opinion in saudi arabia has been trouble for quite some time there could be pressure on congress to take action do people want to be seen to be on the right side of
10:00 pm
history you think liam fox the u.k. trade minister you know that's a name we associate with brics i mean he is obviously entailed with the early but he's saying i'm not going to davos in the following the french following the dutch following even christine legarde the i.m.f. boss as well but does that go beyond symbolism and once once the dust settles in a week or a month the real impact of that is what well i think once the dust does settle down the road and it could be in the next few weeks or next month you'll start to see a normalization of relations but the european leaders did make it take a strong stand on this something we haven't seen from the trumpet ministration just yet some u.s. businesses yes but not the actual u.s. government and it does say a lot about being on the right side of history to correspond to their own stumble to make the point that they got two scenes of investigation and they found quite some evidence between the consulate and the consul general's residence there.
