9:00 pm
you're watching the news hour life from a headquarters in. coming up in the next sixty minutes raising the stakes turkey's president puts more pressure on saudi arabia to reveal exactly how the journalist was killed inside its consulate in istanbul. we have. meditated murder. her to one wants all involved from top to bottom to face punishment. saudi arabia responds to early one statement repeating its promise to
9:01 pm
catch those responsible no matter who they are and investigators find a suitcase and other items inside a saudi consulate car abandoned in a parking lot just days after of murder. fellow turkish investigators may have uncovered new clues in the case of murder journalist. the discovery in a saudi consulate car abandoned in an istanbul car park came after the turkish president ratcheted up the pressure on saudi arabia in a highly anticipated speech in parliament. described killing as a brutal and premeditated murder so he's pushing for an independent investigation and while he says he has no doubts about the saudi king's cooperation he didn't comment on other. well among the questions that once answered who ordered the
9:02 pm
operation he says all involved from top to bottom are speed held accountable for the crime or two and also wants these eight hundred suspects to be extradited to turkey to stand trial trial strafford reports from istanbul candidate a new group members of the now took as president a promise to reveal the make you to truth about how he was killed but after weeks of leaks by government sources to the media his speech to m.p.'s in ankara revealed little new. type of the saudi journalist was reflective of a savage premeditated murder and its three saudis went on a reconnaissance mission to a forest near istanbul presumably to look for somewhere to bury his body but are still. we have strong evidence that this was a premeditated murder in the light of the information we have everybody has questions here are the questions these fifteen people why did they come to on the
9:03 pm
day of the murder who ordered them to come to turkey we need an answer. it's been three weeks since jamal khashoggi was seen alive entering the saudi consulate in istanbul turkey sources have identified a fifteen man saudi team including high ranking intelligence agents and an autopsy expert who flew to turkey they were seen entering the consulate hours before his shores he arrived they left the same day turkey's president is demanding answers from the saudis the saudi foreign minister has said he was killed in a huge and grave mistake where's the body of. nobody knows where the body is it is alleged that the body was given to a local operator so who is the local cooperate we need to know who that is or to one said he didn't doubt the credibility of king solomon but notably didn't mention his heir apparent crown prince muhammad in selma the saudis deny he was linked to
9:04 pm
the killing of the journalist who criticized him. but a meeting of ministers in riyadh king solomon stressed what he called the directives and royal orders following the unfortunate event that led to the death of citizen jamal khashoggi the kingdom has taken procedures to clarify the truth and to hold accountable those who would negligent whoever they are king solomon added the king was shown meeting because she was his son and another family member to offer condolences alongside the crown prince i was later the crown prince who hasn't been seen in public but days appeared briefly at the saudi investment summit to champion the ceased twenty thirty vision but. some analysts are disappointed with what the turkish president revealed god was asking what had been to the. well the people were expecting him to tell us what happened. which was a man said with the dismemberment of the but the have been the video recording the
9:05 pm
old you're recording these are all questions that are not and said the murder of jamal khashoggi has huge implications for saudi arabia and its relationship with the world but the turks and the saudis are valid to continue their investigation is but free weeks after question she was killed there are growing questions over whether the real perpetrators those who planned it and indeed sanctioned the murder will ever be fully called to account and charles speak to us now from istanbul you were referring to the turkish investigation in your report charles what can you tell us about this car that's been searched and the belongings found inside it. well we understand that car and the belongings found inside have now been take it has been now been taken away by turkish investigators that car park in an area
9:06 pm
called chilton gauzy the car was actually found yesterday but it's been a delay in getting access to it because all of these diplomatic immunity idols that of course caused a delay in the investigation in the consulate and the consul general's home we understand that there was a personal computer found in the car along with at least one possibly two suitcases and some clothing and as i say we understand that has now been all taken away for forensic analysis. other areas concentrating in terms of the television best to go going forward as i say we've been talking about these two areas outside istanbul where there's been a lot of interests to whether in fact because shows these body could be buried somewhere out there these areas the belgrave forests in an area called yellow. president are the ones talking about what's actually best gauge to say well as a team all the consulate workers who left the consulate in the day before she went
9:07 pm
inside and was killed and it's believed that they went out to us it was seen out in these areas belgrade and yellow with the implicit with the implication that they may well have been on some sort of reconnaissance mission to even find a suitable place to bury him we also know certainly in the last forty eight hours or so that they've been at least fulci work because who worked inside the consulate many of them they've been questioned and then of course there's these great focus on this person who's been described as a local collaborator and the hunt for him very much in the skies in order to one's speech certainly government leaks told us in recent days that it's believed that this this man. and is important because he may well have handled could show she's already there were leaks again more leaks that said that it's believed that the show his body may well have been rolled up into a rug or a carpet and placed into
9:08 pm
a car and it's believed that this so-called collaborator may have been part of that process and charles we also did see images of the fifteen of the suspects allegedly involved in the killing of. leaving istanbul airport talk us through those pictures and what they mean. yeah this is new c.c.t.v. video that has been leaked by by government sources we've seen stills taken from this video in recent days but this is the she's more fill. it shows so we're told the fifteen member team arriving at istanbul airport in two separate groups on the evening of the second of all tell you about the day that khashoggi was killed we know that this team certainly according to. investigated leaks that this team had arrived in istanbul earlier that day these new pictures show them as
9:09 pm
i say arriving in two groups it's reported that the first group arrived around six forty pm at the airport a group of six. and they got on to the first plane the first plane we understand went to cairo and a second team. arrives at the airport believe it around eight thirty pm you see them going through the security checks this is seven members of that fifteen member team we understand that they boarded a plane around at the took off around nine o'clock and flew to the united arab emirates the other two members of that fifteen member squad we understand boarded regular passenger airliners when they left to leave. yeah yet again an indication of more government leaks being given to the media increasing pressure of asli on the on saudi arabia. an indication that this investigation what with this ship this
9:10 pm
car and evidence being taken away an indication that this investigation intensifies all right fred thank you. well there has been widespread skepticism over saudi arabia's version of events with several world leaders pushing for clarification about what exactly happened so the e.u.'s foreign policy chief frederica maharani has addressed the european parliament and she said a crime against one journalist is a crime against all freedom of speech and information needs joined foreign ministers of the g seven group of nations all saying saudi's explanation so far leaves many questions unanswered britain canada france germany italy japan and the us all signed off on the statements condemning sees killing or the cia director gina hospitals now in turkey to work on the investigation and the vice president mike pence has said the u.s. will decide on whether to impose sanctions on saudi arabia when all facts become
9:11 pm
available the brutal murder of jamal khashoggi at the saudi consulate in turkey was a tragedy for his family for his loved ones and for your colleagues here at the washington post it was also an assault on a free and independent press and our administration is determined to use all means at our disposal to get to the bottom of it covering the u.s. angle for us as kimberly hockett she's joining us from washington d.c. so strong words from the vice president mike pence what do you make of the timing of these comments. not only the timing but the phrase we're hearing over and over getting to the bottom of it sort of expression the president used just twenty four hours ago essentially what the president and vice president been saying is they don't believe the story they're getting from saudi arabia that timing that you talk about the fact that they're saying this as they're sending the head of the cia to
9:12 pm
turkey indicates that the president feels that he needs his own investigation in terms of somebody on the ground to find out the information in fact the president said in a domestic interview that he is not satisfied with all that he's heard in fact saying that in fact he believes that he has been lied to and deceived and that is not sitting well with this president he certainly has. gone out on a limb a number of times to defend the crown prince the saudi royal family and conversations the readouts that have followed those he said that he has for the most part accepted their denials but the fact that the leaking of information coming out of turkey continually is not flattering to the crown prince particularly has made this white house frustrating so we're now we're hearing this very strong language from the vice president we suspect we may hear similar language when the secretary of state pale speaks at nine hundred forty five g.m.t.
9:13 pm
but it seems to indicate that this is a white house preparing for its response in terms of what that will be given the extensive ties between the united states and saudi arabia is still not clear but certainly this is a level of frustration that we are beginning to see from the white house that we've not seen in some time and kimberly with the cia director general hospital in turkey and also we saw the treasury secretary in riyadh as well what is trump strategy here is he keeping all his options open. it really appears right now that is exactly what the white house is doing you know the ties between saudi arabia the united states go back to when the established diplomatic ties in the early one nine hundred thirty s. and since then the united states has historically kind of turned a blind eye to some of the things about the relationship that perhaps are not consistent with what they would often refer to as american values particularly when
9:14 pm
it comes to respect for human rights that's become increasingly difficult already this was a tense relationship in the eyes of members of congress they feel that the u.s. support for the conflict in yemen is increasingly something that is not consistent with american values now to have the cases in the facts that are emerging from turkey with respect to show she is increasingly putting pressure on this relationship but at the same time this white house has put an awful lot of stock in the relationship as it confronts iran and that is the problem the dilemma facing this white house right now they have a foundation for middle east that is fairy squarely placed with saudi arabia as part of its partner in confronting iran given the fact now that they have sanctions that are planned for next month on iranian oil exports they're counting on saudi arabia to help with that they are walking a very fine type of rope that is becoming increasingly difficult with each new allegation towards the saudi kingdom all right kimberly thank you. well the saudi
9:15 pm
story has changed several times after weeks of denials the latest version is that he died after a struggle in the consulate the saudi king king said a man has promised to punish anyone found responsible for the death whoever they may be was shortly after he in the crowd after he said that he and the crown prince met with. son as you can see who's banned in fact from leaving saudi arabia they met him to offer their condolences but the spotlights still on mohamed bin sandman's alleged role in the operation it's overshadowing a high profile investment conference where he did make a brief appearance other foreign leaders time company executives refused to attend because of the killing. as we all know these are difficult days. for us the kingdom of saudi arabia we are going through. a crisis of sorts resulted
9:16 pm
from a. very good act of a warrant. that took place in turkey nobody in the kingdom can justify it or explain it and from the leadership on down. very upset about what has happened. and of course the king has made it clear that there will be. investigation and justice distribution to those spots or muhammad in i'm a thirty is a saudi dissident based in london he says speech addressing the kingdom of saudi arabia as a veiled warning at how king sideman should deal with the case. he said his last king salamander of course thought holy mosques or thought if it's meaning i thrust you're still as a king and you are responsible for to the holy sites what will come will endangered the kingdom and when they endanger the two hundred sites so you have to move
9:17 pm
against your son this is their secret message now to our diplomatic editor james bays is joining us from the u.n. headquarters in new york we'll talk about the wider the policy james in a moment but first let me ask you about the likelihood that the u.n. itself as a body investigates that has something case the u.n. investigating they're pretty clear about the procedure if they were to investigate and they have said that they would only consider an investigation if they were invited to take part now they say that that invitation could come from one of the concerned countries so that could be potentially turkey saudi arabia or possibly the u.s. or it could come from a referral from one of the key bodies of the united nations the u.n. security council the u.n. general assembly or the u.n. human rights council i can tell you that currently none of the countries concerned
9:18 pm
have asked the u.n. to get involved saudi arabia i'm sure would not want an international investigation led by the united nations i think for now turkey wants to keep control of this and the united states i think is a little wary of the u.n. getting involved and for those same reasons i think no one's actually raised this it only at any of the main u.n. bodies certainly the u.n. secretary general is not minded to store launch any sort of investigation unless he's backed by someone actually inviting him to do so so i think it remains a possibility but it's certainly not something that's happening right now ok and what about what it comes down to the saudis and the turks put this into context for us what do they both want to see right now. the saudis want to move on i think they are very unhappy about the media narrative of this because it is so damaging to them that this has been the lead story for the best part of three weeks and every hour it seems there is a drip drip of negative news they try to draw
9:19 pm
a line under it they have sacrificed some of the kid visors of the crown prince the law only have drawn comes only has breath away from the crown prince and so he is potentially in the foreign law and for the turks i think they're being very shrewd here they know that this story is damaging to saudi arabia and i think they are happy for now to keep talking about the story in a way that reveals things day after day and continues to do damage to saudi arabia i am sure there are talks behind the scenes between the turks and the saudis not just about the investigation about wider issues that they could come to some agreement that would mean that they could perhaps as the saudis won't draw a line on to it under it but clearly for now there is no such agreement. james bays
9:20 pm
giving us the update from the united nations thank you let's bring in jeff colgan he's an author and associate professor of political science and public affairs at brown university who's joining us on skype from providence that's in rhode island thanks for speaking to us on al-jazeera so we're going to break down the positions of the three countries really involved right now in the story and that is saudi arabia obviously turkey as well as the united states when it comes to the turkish position and after earlier on and made his statement today what do the turks do next how are they going to play this. well i think the president president obama made it clear that turkey still has some additional information and the previous speakers mention a think they're happy to see had a drip drip of fact of news coming out that keeps the story in the world and he keeps saudi arabia's reputation from recovering at least until some sort of
9:21 pm
agreement is made between saudi arabia and turkey but what do you mean by some sort of agreement well turkey benefits from the story in two ways and in one sense turkey and saudi arabia are rivals for you know status and prominence within the islamic world and turkey therefore a danger little bit by having saudi arabia's reputation tarnished but at the same time there are things that. turkey might want from saudi arabia including of course turkey's economy is in trouble right now and so one could imagine a deal being made between saudi arabia and turkey to make the story go away which is i think exactly what saudi arabia wants and it might be exactly what the white house wants as well how much press or is all of this putting on saudi arabia and do you think that the position of the crown prince mohammed bin sandman is in jeopardy
9:22 pm
as some people are saying. well the internal politics of saudi arabia are sort of notoriously opaque grains of that no one could ever really tell what's going on inside but it is certainly putting a lot of pressure on saudi arabia you know way that previous incidents right where saudi arabia's foreign policy under. has been really quite miraculous where we've seen this you know terrible war in yemen hostility towards qatar and a number of other missteps and radical shifts in its foreign policy sorry to say that it can be used as leverage for saudi arabia to change some of its foreign policy what i'm saying is that i think that this is changing people's perceptions where this is sort of a pot coming to a boil. and certainly in washington people are saying and i'm enough is enough.
9:23 pm
saudi arabia has been allowed to get away with too much and that the top administration been really weak on saudi arabia and so congress in particular i think is pushing the administration to take a tougher line with some here if you will the trumpet ministration practically being willing and being able to do that we see that the trumpets ministration is really walking a tightrope here when it comes to saudi arabia. yeah i think the president himself has demonstrated real reluctance almost from the get go to chastise the saudi arabia and spends on changing his story almost as much as the saudis. and so what we are seeing now is other parts of the administration including the vice president take a fairly firm line and it does seem like there's some momentum gathering for the united states to really apply some pressure on saudi arabia to see some change said
9:24 pm
jeff cold and we thank you for joining us on al-jazeera. my pleasure thank you now billions of dollars have flooded into u.s. high tech companies for many years and since these killing questions about morals and ethics are being asked there are also issues being raised over the relationship between ultra rich members of the royal family and silicon valley in california reports. in the aftermath of the killing of jamal khashoggi at the hands of saudi government agents tech companies and their executives are distancing themselves from saudi investment but how each one of them makes that decision on their own i think is probably driven very much by their own moral conscience but also their understanding that other people are looking at them in their formal leadership positions for cues about what to do right now several tech leaders have already bailed out of crown prince mohammed bin some on's investment conference including
9:25 pm
google cloud c.e.o. diane green ale well founder steve case and goober c.e.o. darren shockey who said he was very troubled by reports of cars show g.'s death because from a shot he's public comments were seen as significant because the saudi wealth fund holds a three and a half billion dollar stake in the right hailing app saudi arabia has also invested heavily in tesla motors door dash the work space company we work and others much of the saudi money is funneled through the japanese bank soft bank the world's largest investment fund so far saudi arabia has put forty five billion dollars into soft bank so-called vision fund and the crown prince says he'd like to double that amount as tech companies recoil from the saudis on ethical grounds it will be difficult if not financially impossible to unravel their saudi tie as
9:26 pm
a complex tangle of contract stock preferences and legal obligations tied companies hands in such matters ordinarily companies and financial institutions follow the lead of their governments but president donald trump's response to the killing has been tepid and vacillating leaving corporations to find their own way in some ways this. case is providing an opportunity for companies to really provide some ethical and moral leadership maybe at a time when they're not seeing or experiencing what they'd like to see from leadership in other sectors silicon valley corporations face a dilemma choosing between an ethical response to a shocking crime and the abundant funding that makes the tech industry flourish rob reynolds al jazeera san carlos california still ahead on the al-jazeera news hour thousands of central americans march towards the u.s.

in the hope of a better life will be in mexico as the united nations warns of a humanitarian emergency coming up in sport will be live at old trafford as christiana rinaldo returns to manchester united in the champions league. hello there we're seeing a bit more unsettled weather across parts of the middle east at the moment we've got one area of cloud here that is edging its way eastwards there's not really a great deal of wet weather coming out of that so it's just making things a little bit gray at times here it is making its way across tashkent there as we head through wednesday and behind it there's a good deal of dry weather but not for the western parts here there's more cloud more rain and if anything that system is looking more intense as we head through into thursday and you can see the white patches that develop that snow so really
9:28 pm
the temperatures a tumbling here is a very stormy as we head through thursday a not warmer told me further towards the south and of course we've had a lot of thunder reactivity across the arabian peninsula recently wednesday should be a dry one for thirty five should be our maximum so going to be dry for all of us though out towards the west there's still a good deal of cloud here and that is likely to give us one or two outbreaks of rain that extends further eastwards as we head through thursday so more of a risk of seeing want to shop showers as we head down towards the southern parts of africa there's a good deal of cloud with us at the moment to see it straight you all down the western parts here and across down into the northern parts of south africa it's in the north where we see the majority of the wet weather for wednesday some of the outbreaks of rain quite heavy and working their way into new baby. the diagnosis he has been sick for around six months now the challenge ahead there

was one of these ninety six could be the new cool basis of a new shore for colors. disability al-jazeera examines pyaar mein treatments so this is the explosive yes it's basically a wearable robot which we visited on al jazeera the blowing up in the united states i learned that the first amendment is really key to being a good citizen freedom of the challenges going to be done to these men and women to the resources that are available but it's an al-jazeera story to me is that we just don't tell you what the subject of the story wants to know the government is not going to do the one thing the demonstrators want to apologize for what al-jazeera does we ask the questions so that we can get closer to the truth.
9:30 pm
teller again the top stories on the al-jazeera news our president is increasing the pressure on saudi arabia over the killing of journalist. described killing. premeditated murder and calls for an independent investigation and the cleric has full confidence that the saudi king would cooperate but he did not comment on other royals saudi arabia has responded to earlier on statement the cabinet chaired by. repeated its promise to hold to account those involved in the killing of no matter who they are. senior u.s. politicians ordering the operation against journalists and turkish investigators
9:31 pm
may have uncovered new clues in the case. of. discovered. car abandoned in a car park to identify who they belong to. earlier i spoke to christopher hill he's a former u.s. ambassador and career diplomat he explains how this incident has played in the u.s. mid-term elections and what repercussions the saudis may face. the saudis all want to be that there are mid-term elections if you watched cable news this morning it was all about mid-term elections and then this this rather bizarre issue over caravan of refugees going through mexico but that said the second story had to do with saudi arabia i think to understand this story it has all the ingredients of something that is going to hold the public opinion it has you know mendacity it has brutality it has arrogance and frankly
9:32 pm
a little stupidity i mean the way this was handled the the body double that they try and i mean you you know most people look at this stuff and just roll their eyes saudi arabia has really hurt itself well last few days and they've got to get serious about how we're going to fix this i suspect sanctions will you know sanctions are always on the list but i don't think they're top of the list i think more likely we'll see a sort of go slow. approach by the u.s. for arms sales you could call that a sanction but i don't think we're going to see sort of sanctions where we are somehow for did try to take it to the u.n. bid saudi leadership going abroad the sorts of things that are happening with north korea etc i think more likely the sanctions are going to be in the form of going slow on arms arms sales now the saudis will say well if you will sell us our who buy them nowhere but i'm not sure there is a house where except maybe for russia and i'm not sure the saudis are quite ready
9:33 pm
for that relationship. well seven thousand migrants and refugees are defying donald trump by continuing their march towards the u.s. border they've now reached southern mexico u.s. president says he'll be begin cutting a two hundred or a squat of mexico after accusing them of failing to stop the migrant caravan it's the latest attempt by president trying to push immigration into the national conversation ahead of november's midterm elections john holeman has been following the caravan and sent us this report. this is really quite a rare moment for the people that are in this caravan it's the first time that they've had a day of rest since they entered mexico the last couple of days they've been walking a marathon basically every day and they're using the time as you can see here to wash their clothes to wash themselves and just basically to relax a little bit many of them are coming with family so the families are taking
9:34 pm
a little bit of time here on the banks and in this river. also in the center of town is when so many people there they spent the night most of them out in the open they're just trying to recuperate a little bit reese beaking to one family that came from nicaragua most of the families here are from some of them from el salvador guatemala we also this family from they could argue why it is they're traveling you know only that i woke up when i left nicaragua first because there are no jobs even when you're trying to find a job you price violence even my child at school gets basin up and i'm a single mother i can't leave my children alone while i work. we estimate that this caravan has at least a month to go at the rate that it's currently travelling on until it gets to the u.s. border and of course there are things that get to get even more difficult really for this massive more than seven thousand people president trump has said that
9:35 pm
there's no way that he's going to let them pass the border he's threatened to send the military to the border until they get there the mexican authorities themselves haven't done anything to impede the progress of this caravan although they are offering asylum to many people but the real test is in the times to come if they manage to make it through mexico what's going to happen when they get to a large very hostile united states russia is accusing donald trump of taking a dangerous position by threatening to ramp up production of nuclear missiles u.s. national security advisor john bolton is in moscow meeting president vladimir putin to discuss withdrawing from a cold war treaty which limits missiles russia denies it's violating the treaty. i think it was more from our perspective as president trump said on saturday said again yesterday to deal with the question of russian violation of the i.n.f. treaty position russian russia doesn't agree with what you feel very strongly and
9:36 pm
was a major factor in our decision to withdraw stuff osten has a joining us rather from moscow to just talk us through whether bolton made it any clearer on what exactly the u.s. plans to do with the i.n.f. nuclear treaty. well he didn't really make that very clear he didn't say anything about when and how united states wants to pull out of. iran after they only he only made it very clear that they haven't asked for this withdrawal post procedure to start yet so they have been notified moscow about that at the moment that he also said that it could still take a while but he repeated again that the russians have been violating this for many many years and he also sat interesting lee that the russian russians agree with the united states that the treaty is outdated that it's from a cold war period it's
9:37 pm
a bipolar world back then the united states and russia the soviet union had to say were the only two major nuclear powers at the time the world is a much a lot more complicated it has multipolar nuclear powers right now china is one of them he mentioned he also said the united states has information that hostile one third of the missiles china has would actually violate the treaty if they would have signed it and when he was asked if he was afraid that or not our arms race would start he actually reminded everyone about two thousand and one when the united states pulled out. a.b.m. the antiballistic missile treaty everyone was worried that global security would collapse he's had that didn't happen and it won't happen this time around and russian meddling in u.s. elections was also discussed when bolton have to say about bounce
9:38 pm
well he said that whatever the russians did during the two thousand and sixteen elections it didn't have any impact on the outcome so there was no use he sat to the russian so don't meddle with or elections because at the end basically only it didn't hurt the relationship between the two countries for two years he sat basically put all diplomacy on hold he said about the midterm elections they didn't have any information that there would be any significant meddling from the russian side so far but he said that they're watching this carefully all right thank you. brazilians will head to election booths on sunday to choose between two radically different leaders and visions for their country fernando had died from the workers' party is the country's left wing candidate it but his right wing rival j. or boss and arrow holds a lead in most polls and is widely expected to win. as more from sao paolo on

wearing the full face veil now this is that this lesion that was brought in by nicolas sarkozy back in twenty ten and it was meant to make sure for security reasons that nobody could disguise their face and it's been a real debate ever since i would say was passed about the secular traditions inside france the fact that there needs to be social cohesion but what the un human rights committee have said is that essentially has marginalized these women it's meant they've had to stay within within communities it's meant that they they can't go out and they in the way they want to it's restricted their religious freedom and they've given france one hundred eighty days to review the legislation and they've also asked for compensation for the two women but of course the u.n. human rights committee ruling is not binding on france in fact the european court

of human rights supported the french ban in twenty fourteen so this debate continues it's a very controversial area and as i say. the most recent case where this came to notice was that a criminal who made a spectacular escape from a prison in a hijacked helicopter was only spotted by police because he was wearing a burka or apparently disguised himself but they notice he was walking like a man and that's how he was actually apprehended by the police that's very much always coming up in press coverage here in france or britain's prime minister is urging government ministers to hold their nerve during the tricky final stages of brecht's that negotiations to resume a told parliament on monday that a divorce deal is ninety five. completes the major stumbling block remains the border between ireland northern ireland which is leaving along with the rest of the

as the world's longest cross breach. i declare the hong kong. bridge officially open. it's taken almost a decade to build and cost around fifteen billion dollars but the bridge is central to china's master plan to integrate the pole with the delta region and drive economic growth hong kong macau and i will now make up to a dozen cities on the mainland the journey once took four hours the commute will now take around thirty minutes. you currently need to use vessels to transport cargo to macau when the bridge is open the freight land transport can reach macau in a much shorter period of time and i believe cargo owners will prefer us the bridge will be run by trade ministrations hong kong but how and china traffic will go by

a variety of reasons on and off the pitch. where there's a big spotlight on the spot between sort of the powers of european football for various reasons but there seems to be so much drama around lunch just you know it's the moment every time there's a game without trafford's as a sense of a story around it there was only another one and this occasion because the manchester united team touched all code in the heavy traffic around lunchtime now the same thing that happened in the last game here if the champions against valencia and that means it's a light kick off they've just about avoided a delight kickoff here because i got here fifty minutes before the guy was due to start and i had a forty five minute window but joe he's a marine or decides he didn't want to start on the coach i was already told report says he wore a hoodie for the fines i didn't know swarming many tens of thousands swarm against well travelled i didn't know the judges i ring i was walking through them now he's actually got in there and he's got his team that he needs that's on this insular

good result to keep getting the positive energy that he wants to turn around the situation we're lucky. special thinking from the special one the league ronaldo is the big stuff but what about the home teams attacking options. yeah there has been so much focus around chris john over now because of course he comes back to manchester united for the first time in a british long spell here at all trough of the hasn't been here for five years since he came here in the champions league and came away with a win knocking munches shouted out when he played for ferraro madrid but of course has been a lot of around christiane of an hour off the page for this story right allegation he spoke about it before the guy and that is when not so much focusing. players like france paul paul paul who started off at manchester united was released by alex ferguson controversially now you look back because he really flourished in chewing events as they love him they're still the fans will give him

a good advice from before the guy and then of course eventually was bought for over one hundred million dollars but it's a couple play for manchester united he's struggled a bit over ways talk over into a full out and tension between him i'm josie marino but this could be the occasion for the world cup when i remember with france to shine for get to know the good marina forget it's manchester united versus you venza said really is a battle of two powerhouses of wolves football isn't it. it is about what surprises me looking back is that they actually haven't done as well in the champions league historically as you might expect you ventus of i only want to twice and not since ninety ninety six in recent years they have done quite well in the competition of course they lost in the final a couple of years ago when she started have won it three times already once more which is again you might expect them to have won this competition a little more considering that stand the year well football but there's actually

a genuine conversation going on in italy at the moment is this you ventus team the best they've ever had i think that's premature let's see if they can get over the follow hurdle go with a white win this tournament yes they're dominating it's a yes that dominated for much of the past decade but i don't think they're quite there yet as the best of events be willing thank you very much it's always a pleasure talking to. the twenty eighteen world series starts later this year is there fenway park in boston when the red sox host the los angeles dodgers ground software putting the finishing touches to the pitch ahead of game one the red sox and dodgers are two of major league baseball's most famous teams and among the best supported with a large fan base beyond their own cities boston or looking for a first world series title since twenty thirteen whereas l.a. are in their second season finale in a row but they haven't actually won it since one thousand nine hundred eight

realistically you going to spring training you know every team says they want to roll series but realistically that's probably not an option for you know at least half the teams so for us for me really say we really mean it we're going to go the postseason six times in a row it becomes that much more evident that. we're very fortunate to be on a great team we're still missing that ring in. you know there's no secret that we want to one. you don't know when you would come back again always you want to do it every year would sometimes folks i want you to just make it work does enjoy it and understand it more so when each and every game on each and every pitch. try try to make the mistakes we live with it and that's how you are going to do do you want to a lot of people that have us the way and i'm experiencing a better in the leadership on a team that we had was that was. defending champion caroline wozniacki is off the mark at this year's doubly finals in singapore of the overcoming fourth seed paired took a bit of a in three sets on c's day both players had suffered defeats in their opening group
