supervised neutral forces for now many yemenis hope that this truce will hold no matter how tenuous the situation on the ground remains. he's an associate professor of conflict resolution at the dog institute for graduate studies thanks for speaking to us what are the challenges that the ceasefire faces in its actual implementation well it started already with the challenges on the ground just before the cease fire started the this morning we saw intensified fighting and some kidnapping and actually somebody additions also have been to the it's still ok to have these violations because the parties may not be misses a lady but if this continues if this becomes a pattern and continues for the next few days then the whole. cease fire would be at stake and it must be quite challenging to enforce it on the ground seeing that there are no observers there or at least are not currently there that's correct
6:05 pm
well here we need to differentiate actually between two things one is that fixed the peace agreement that was signed in sweden which is all about humanitarian issues and the implementation of the peace agreement with the with peace agreements then to be veg and broad so it to allow the parties to explain to their constituents is different things but when the implementation begins there is no place for vagueness you know things have to be clarified and then have to be explained and then have to be implemented the devil is in the details and that's how we started to see this happening actually to be when some hold has actually started to see it to see or to talk about not necessarily withdrawing from the decision of the of the ports of our party was talking about some of things so these are the serious challenges of the implementations it's still early to say without of the peace agreement will overcome these challenges and if we see this holding
6:06 pm
for the next few days or until january the political talks happen then i think we can be talking about confidence building measures being built between the two parties and also that the. there is something at stake with the two parties that they're able. to have since because this is the fist time ever since for the past when this war started four years ago that we've seen some sort of a breakthrough or it's small it's humanitarian has nothing to do with politics it's not just with of this is going to be the beginning of the end of the conflict are all but i see the important are all parties involved in the yemen war whether they're on the ground in yemen as well as the foreign powers the external powers are they at a point now where they all want to see the end of the war in yemen is yemen on the right track to peace well everyone wants to see an end of the war in yemen but unfortunately specially the two primary parties of this coming to hold his and the
6:07 pm
government and their allies they want this war to end on their theorems and here is where the huge difference there is no place for the parties to agree at this moment politically because what happened to this peace agreement let's not forget it's humanitarian it's about the human delivery of humanitarian aid nothing else has nothing to do with politics so with politics the part i was i was i'm not in residence rights we saw it on prisoners also prisoners wives is about humanitarian and also human if they didn't go to door in the eyes which is also humanitarian not politics ok so then looking ahead to what's happening in january that's when the u.n. must prepare for talks on sort of a wider truce as well as a framework for political negotiations is that when the bigger challenge lies that's correct actually then now the hardware kaz begun but and without it to be able to hold and to implement successfully a humanitarian agreement and also to be able to talk about solutions political solutions for the crisis in the for the war in yemen in january in sweden which
6:08 pm
from what i'm seeing that i don't see the parties are still did the for political talk because once we talk a humanitarian everyone seems to agree that this is should end the. but when we thought or politics we start to see the huge gap emerging between the two positions and that's why i think there is a very serious challenge for the e.u. on from now until jenny what is to try to not all this get the business they can because if the parties go in january with this kind of pull organization and this gap between the two parties then doesn't look good ok but i'm for hot thank you very much for any of us well everything you need to know about the holiday ceasefire that we've been discussing is on the front page of our website al jazeera dot com from the war in yemen to the plight of one yemeni family mike hanna reports on how a u.s. travel ban on mainly muslim countries is now preventing two year old abdullah has

minutes they've been in meetings all day in geneva about the prospects of updating the country's constitution it's part of a u.n. back process and involving the government and opposition aimed at ending syria's nearly eight year war and let's cross over to james bays our diplomat magic editor who is joining us from the united nations you've covered syria many times it james how significant would developments be in geneva in the wider picture of the war in syria. very important developments we have that news conference taking place right now with the russian foreign minister sergei lavrov and he's a rainy and and turkish colleague and they have been meeting in geneva to discuss the situation at a very crucial time for the talks in syria with stefan de mistura the special envoy
6:12 pm
spose to give his last briefing to the security council on thursday let's listen in to that news conference that their mission to facilitate the beginning of the constitutional committee just work into really by elaborate think it's a general guiding principles through interaction with the syrians but there's and the u.n. secretary general special envoy in syria on the basis of which the rules of procedure that will ensure it's efficient and sustained the will work will be determined by the work of the constitutional committee should be governed by a sense of compromise and constructive engagement aimed at three chin general agreement of its members which would enable the outcome to receive the widest possible support by the syrian people three agreed to take efforts aimed at convening the first session of the constitutional committee in geneva go to next year for express their conviction that these steps will lead to the launch of a viable and lasting syrian led syrian owned and un facilitate that political process in line with the decisions of the syrian national dialogue on groups and

such as in the un security council resolution two into two fifty four five reform this strong commitment to the sovereignty of independence unity and syria the integrity of the syrian they're up republic and emphasize that these principles should be respected by all sides than geneva eighteen so of december two so that they do you think you very much for your attention. that was the russian foreign minister sergei lavrov speaking in geneva where russia and russia turkey and iran have just said that they've agreed. to make efforts aimed at convening the first session of the syria constitutional committee early next year that is according to a statement that was just read out by the russian foreign minister back to james bay is joining us from the united nations so james this constitutional committee how much of it would be a starting point for actual political progress when it comes to syria. it

could be but look at who is standing there the turkish foreign minister the russian foreign minister the iranian foreign minister parties on either side of the syrian conflict shaking hands at the end of that news conference who is not standing there stefan de mistura the u.n. special envoy he had been meeting them maybe it's a protocol issue that he wanted them to speak and he'll speak separately but the word we're getting behind the scenes is there has been a disagreement between the russians and the syrians let me just remind you what this is all about long negotiations going on in geneva to try and get peace talks between the opposition in the syrian government were going nowhere and then eventually in sochi they came up with a plan to at least deal with one part of the syrian conflict and that was to try and come up with a new constitution for syria about a year ago they decided that they would try and have a constitutional committee meeting in geneva and the government had to come up with a delegation the syrian opposition had to come up with
6:15 pm
a delegation and then there was going a third delegation representing civil society in syria it's the that third component the civil society component that they couldn't reach agreement on every time they came up with a list the u.n. came up with a list the syrian government had a problem with it that has been the sticking point for months and months and months what we thought might be happening today in geneva is the syrian government might finally be agreeing to a list that the u.n. could also agree to what we understand has happened in the last hour or so is that the syrian government has agreed to list but stefan demers store at the u.n. envoy was unhappy with that list and wanted to add some additional names to it and there seems to be a problem between these three countries and the united nations that will become a little clearer when stefan de mistura speaks to the press we hope later today remember this is a key moment because stefan de mistura has been in his job for years he's finishing the job his last briefing to the security council to say either i'm making pro.

greste all things are going very badly that is taking place here in new york state that news conference we just see not quite what we expected and it's interesting that the u.n. were not part of it all right thank you so while the talks continue in geneva tension is growing between u.s. backed forces and turkey in northern syria the u.s. has confirmed it's asking kurdish fighters to move from northern iraq into northern syria the unexpected deployment came after turkey threatened further military action in men bridge if u.s. backed kurdish fighters don't leave that area then heard that reports from istanbul . turkish military reinforcements have already been sent to the border with syria president pressure to tell you border guard says a cross border operation against what he calls terrorists can begin at any moment the target is the u.s. backed syrian democratic forces the s.d.f. is mainly made up of the y.p.

northern iraq are allies of the u.s. and turkey they are likely to be deployed along the borders between syria turkey and iraq the y.p. she controls a continuous strip of territory from iraq to the eastern banks of the euphrates river almost thirty percent of syria's territory the first one is aiming to prevent p. y. g.'s y. p. g.'s territorial continuity alongside the turkey's border and turkey is planning to infiltrate into this syrian territory the white peachy already enjoys self rule which turkish leaders reject because they believe the white peachy is an extension of the outlawed kurdistan workers' party the p.k. k. which is fighting for kurdish autonomy in south east turkey. for that we have said and we are saying that no we will begin our operation to rescue the east of the euphrates from the separatist organization within a few days turkey says any operation would not target u.s. troops but the white b.g. is an important element in washington's syria strategy and the trump

administration's only syria ally giving its leverage and influence in any political settlement turkish leaders know that and are treading carefully so as not to rupture a relationship with a strategically important ally. the u.s. envoy for syria is now stressing washington's ties with armed groups in northern syria are tactical temporary and transactional such a description is unlikely to please the white peachey or satisfy turkish leaders but the u.s. says steps are being taken turkey has yet to say whether they are enough to prevent military action senator al jazeera has stumbled well. the online property rental company air b.n. b. has denied its reversing a decision to ban listings an illegal settlements in the occupied west bank the company announced its intention to stop such listings last month but israel's tourism ministry says b.m.p. has backed down after threats of legal action in israel and the us stephanie decker

has more from west jerusalem. the vice president of there is in jerusalem talking to the tourism minister this led to some confusion on tuesday initially air b.n. b. putting out a statement in hebrew by its israeli spokesperson indicating that it was going back on its november decision to stop listing homes and properties in the illegal settlements in the occupied west bank now the israeli tourism minister also hinted at that well soon after air b.n. b. put out a another statement saying that this was incorrect that basically its policy and its decision had not changed it did however clarify that it didn't agree with the b.d.s. movement the boycott divestment and sanctions movement that cesar israeli products boycotted or this settlements in the west bank these kinds of things are distancing itself from the political movement of when it comes to boycotting israel but saying
6:21 pm
that it was talking to all sides and it was trying to understand what was a very complex and emotional issue it is of course i think air b.n. b. is learning just how complicated this situation is here remains to talk to the tourism minister on wednesday we'll wait and see if there is any other statement but certainly it shows you the pressure that the israeli lobby has the power that it has and also the pressure and the concerns israel has when you have such a high profile international company like air b.n. b. saying that it will no longer advertise it will no longer work with the settlements in the west bank which are of course illegal under international at the moment from what we understand its policy has not changed it will continue not to miss them but they continue to be listed on its website basically because from what we understand there's a complicated legal issue to remove the listings in the settlements but again it
6:22 pm
just highlights the complicated nature of the situation on the ground here while the recent investigation by al jazeera off travel. pinney's found some of the most popular ones like expedia are taking tourist shopping dining or for an overnight stay an illegal israeli settlements in the occupied west bank in the golan heights and in east jerusalem but none of the companies informs potential consumers that they will be visiting visiting an illegal settlement in their marketing material you can read about how the tourism industry underpins illegal israeli settlements on our website al-jazeera dot com and in the united states education workers in a number of states have complained that their new contracts include a clause that orders them to agree to refrain from boycotting israeli products so the clause is required under a new state laws they were introduced after lobbying against the worldwide boycott divestment and sanctions movements it's looking for a peaceful end to the israeli occupation of east jerusalem and the occupied west

bank so in recent years a majority of u.s. states have put in place anti b.d.s. legislation as of november this year twenty six states have laws preventing individuals and corporations from announcing a boycott of is really own businesses thirteen other states have also introduced or have similar laws pending for approval let's bring in al-jazeera senior political analyst joining us from london for people who are maybe scratching their heads at the story about why these laws are being enacted in the states and twenty six states specifically. just tell us what you make of it what is the message that's being sent out by these states to american citizens. well let's just start with the with the extraordinary news from texas and where there's a say about the rest of the twenty plus states that america without its freedom of
6:24 pm
speech america without its fundamental principles of democracy is no more than a junior partner of china america would be worthless without its democratic principles and freedom of speech and the sort of laws been at that enacted in texas and elsewhere are an offense against the freedom of speech the freedom of americans to express themselves as they wish to work at whoever they want to boycott in that way in the way and manner nonviolent as it is but these sorts of laws are meant to curdle they're meant to limits a certain public discontent with israel and its policies notably the policies of the right wing government of benjamin at the now and that we've seen enough only among americans in general but also among young americans it's in particular among young jews and even among young evangelicals who to are generally quite
6:25 pm
influential in the likes of the state of texas so in order to limit the emergent influence of more progestin in palestine trained in american politics we see these laws enacted with the help of the pro israeli organizations and here let me just just in two words summarize that for you there are some five hundred plus organizations meant to large size in the united states that make israel one of their prime themes that they lobby for and those five plus organizations jewish organizations evangelists all organizations and other sorts of organizations do influence politicians on the state level in order to act these laws that basically are against the spirit of american democracy and what is this then tell you about how big a threat to be b.d.s. movement has now become for israel and those who support israel in the u.s.
6:26 pm
. what you know just following on your earlier report of our air b.n. b. we need to separate between two different things one is b.d.s. and that is really boycotting israel in order to put pressure on israelis to put pressures on their government to woodrow from occupied lands and so on and so forth and then there's the other which is what do you do when dealing with occupied territories such as the west bank is jerusalem and gaza and here in a spot as air b.n. b. is concerned why it has only two hundred units in occupied west bank it does have twenty two thousand units that it deals with that it prints out in israel itself so yes as a b. and b. said they are completely on board in dealing with israel i'm completely against b.d.s. where they where. criticised even influence is in us fighters there are two hundred
6:27 pm
units occupied territories now let me add he had a very simple thing there is nothing complex there's nothing emotional in particular to israel palestine anyone who says that is being deceptive because what is more complicated the more emotional in palestine and israel. then say for example in kurdistan or in kashmir or in boston area or in any other conflict in the area of the world i mean while israelis or palestinians what a privilege when it comes to complexity and emotions all people around the world in conflict have emotions there's nothing complex and emotional about about international law this is an all clear by territories and there is an occupying power and there are people who i'd look at in putting pressure on the occupying power and there are people who want to put pressure on the occupation itself in palestine and i think that should be legitimate for everyone and it's certainly illegal to call it complex and emotional and we have to deal with it and we have to
6:28 pm
study it that is simply deceptive all right thank you on the midst of all of this the name netanyahu has gotten a lot of attention online but many of them aren't referring to the israeli prime minister will not exactly at least an address here with that story and you what's it about that's right during this time it has to do with your year netanyahu who has been creating waves on social media if you don't know him he's the prime minister's son and he's under fire for some of his facebook posts one saying they will not be peace here until either jews or muslims leave israel i prefer the second option the other in saying that muslims are responsible for violent attacks wherever they live. now facebook blocked those posts because they included hate speech so then yeah your posted screen shots of them and then facebook blocked him now he was only in facebook jail for about twenty four hours but we can see that he's been very active in the hours before and after but the ban however brief has
6:29 pm
been welcomed by critics of the twenty seven year old now the editor in chief of the jerusalem post posted a scathing tweet right after your was blocked he says he hopes that the ban is for good so is time we stop having to hear and read about this kid so what's he's talking about there's been a lot of criticism against your over the years particularly because he lives in the prime minister's house and has a bodyguard in the driver and other perks despite being twenty seven years old and having no official role in the israeli government but author ben white says his behavior here is not an isolated incident. netanyahu sons comments was certainly shocking but it would be a mistake to disconnect the type of rhetoric from the types of israeli policies that happen on a day to day basis from the regime of separation and inequality in the west bank to the discrimination faced by palestinian citizens of israel to the brutality and book a this experience by post news in the goes to strip israeli state policy treats palestinians
6:30 pm
with the same races contempt that you netanyahu clearly house towards them as well and yours posts are significant for another reason as well because facebook has historically treated israelis and palestinians and two different ways so the intercepts published a piece last year saying that facebook has been on a censorship rampage against palestinian activists who protest the decades long illegal israeli occupation old directed and determined by israeli officials now this perceived double standard has led palestinians to protest in front of the un headquarters in gaza in march they say hundreds of activists have been unfairly kicked off the social media platform they've also protested online with the hash tag f b fights palestine now it's trended in waves at several points this year and protesters in the past have said that facebook not only censors palestinians but
6:31 pm
also allows israelis to incite violence without any consequences this week's incident with your netanyahu might suggest otherwise but let us know if you think that this is some sort of exception or do you think facebook is possibly more fairly applying its policies and get in touch that's excuse me let us know what you think is in a hash tag it in it's good andrew thank you well speaking of facebook if you're watching us on facebook you've got a story for you about how music is helping venezuelan migrant stay connected to home then later on in his great china celebrates forty years of economic reforms as . gauges in a trade war with the u.s. . there's more snow on its way for early winter not surprising first the turkmenistan tajikistan this general area of clouds moving northeast was and lifting of

a high ground the next belt of rain to come into the levant already started the picture wednesday shows it rather more concentrated in lebanon and particularly syria with snow at height over turkey is a big circulation circulation area of low pressure that is tend to stay where they are late into throw their rain east was exactly what happened to wednesday and thursday that rate of crew across syria into northern iraq across the border as well high ground produces snow to the east of that mr ross looking fine to the senate session wala q it's a twenty three degrees i suspect qatar will be in the middle twenty's as well record low thirty's in western society this is all looking quite weather the arabian peninsula but your eyes probably draw into this the last two or three days as shown frequent chance for me across a culture towards the horn of africa and they're there for wednesday they're a little lhasa comes to stay but it's the right time the if for rain to be from the whole of africa down towards mozambique and there it is the major russia showers but if i got across d.l.c. towards southern towns and. we're taking it to geneva to listen in to the u.n.

on the seventh of january here and who is in my opinion excellent would have to feel free to follow up on what would be the best steps my hope and belief is that they would be building on what we have tried to do and what we have been doing doing before yes the other day someone told me sent me a message saying mr de mistura you may be feeling that it's never good time to leave it's true spatially and intend mission like this one but you should know that . these conflicts never ended with a wonderful peace or death treaty and a conference and everybody embraces each other it is actually a process that may go on and on until all death and hopefully in the best way for the very people the two constants in this conflict over differ

a lot for years one that has never been a constant moment of anything there being constant shift of what they're being the military events and the facts on the ground and the political position just look where we were four years ago and where we are today second constant. there have always been the syrian people suffering during the four years for one reason or another and what we have been trying to do is to reduce hopefully avoid that so that personal contact to me said you should know one thing mr de mistura you may be feeling that during these days in this years you have been having difficult moments where you had meetings that didn't produce the peace well we had been making our own calculations based on the various extrapolations that due to the fact that you're being coming up constantly with your team with new meetings preparatory meetings enter into discussions thief eyes that didn't work and then worked and

didn't work again and appealed and they're liberal and this and the lib we have been calculating that instead of five hundred forty thousand people there would have been one point three million so don't feel that do your leaving a mission impossible and completed this missions are never perfectly completed anyway i took that as a confort for a difficult decision that they do and it did for personal reasons i'm not tired i'm not frustrated in our job we cannot afford to be frustrated otherwise you will never be a mediator you can't be a doctor and be for us they did by diseases but i did so because of a certain point there is the need to draw a line on your personal life with well at least for a period and be because i found a excellent successor who i know will be not only. that is the u.n.

special envoy to syria i should say the outgoing un special envoy to syria stefan demister are speaking right now in geneva and he was issuing a statement following his meeting with foreign ministers from russia turkey and iran james bay is our diplomatic editor joining us from the united nations james did you get the sense from stefan a dentist there are that the talks on the constitution that were taking place in geneva didn't go as he wanted nor how the u.n. wanted. well i don't think there were particularly high hopes in the week but then of course we heard that the foreign ministers of russian iran and turkey were coming to geneva suggesting perhaps there could be a breakthrough there has not been a breakthrough he says he's not frustrated as he ends his job but clearly he's putting a brave face on things he's saying there that there is still in his view in the
6:42 pm
view of the secretary general an extra mile to go let me just explain that he's been in this job for four and a half years trying to get the two sides in syria together it's been very very complex he's trying. a number of different formulations of trying to get progress in syria the most recent has been since the beginning of the year agreed at saatchi and russia and that was to focus on one part of the problem and that was to try and get a committee to draw up a new constitution for syria the idea was that the syrian government should come up with a list of names to be on that constitutional committee the opposition should come up with a list of names and they should be a list of names of civil society it's that middle list that's caused the problem the u.n. have been trying to find a list as acceptable to everyone and the one sticking point has been in damascus the syrian government has had problems with that civil society list for months and months and months we thought that when the russians coming with the turks and the iranians came to geneva perhaps they persuaded the syrian government to come up

with an acceptable list it certainly has come up with a list that seems to be acceptable to the russians to the iranians and even to the turks but not it seems to the united nations which did not like that list of names it's worth noting the statement from the russians the turks and the iranians says that this this whole process should be governed by a sense of compromise and constructive engagement well certainly the u.n. seems not prepared to compromise on the list that is being put forward at this stage so we will see what now happens as stephanie. restorer comes here to new york in twenty four hours time briefing the u.n. secretary general and then for the last time briefing security council will he make it clear that he believes the blockade on the road to peace is coming from the syrian government that i think is the key thing to watch in that meeting on thursday of course it will be his last briefing he's being replaced by a veteran norwegian diplomat garr pedersen i can tell you he is right now in this

building in the u.n. headquarters in new york in fact in the last twenty four hours he's been briefing the secretary general and we're being told by the u.n. that it's rather like you know athletics a relay run these two special envoys are running together as they hand over the battle james bay thank you well the former u.s. national security advisor michael flynn is in court in the state of virginia he's to be sentenced on charges linked to allegedly russian meddling of the twenty six thousand presidential election the retired general there he is pleaded guilty a year ago to lying to the f.b.i. prosecutors are asking for probation and community service instead of prison as flynn's cooperated with the inquiry so you have a town say covering a story from washington what do we expect to happen. well we expect the hearing to begin in just about half an hour's time in fact it's here and in washington d.c. not virginia donald trump tweeted his best wishes to michael flynn this morning apparently no hard feelings but as you said one of the reasons why flynn is

expected to serve minimal jail time if any is because robert miller the special counsel says he's been so cooperative in a number of investigations flynt is pleading guilty to lying to investigators not collusion with russia on thing else as it's often the case in the special investigations that the special counsel investigation people are being found guilty of lying to investigators in the investigation three topics in particular his lobbying for the turkish government a didn't declare himself as a lobbyist and two conversations have been noted with the russian ambassador to the united states during the transition period between the presidential election and donald trump's inauguration one was a conversation flynt had with jake is the act the russian ambassador to the u.s. about sanctions or just been imposed by the obama administration as a result of alleged russian meddling he lied to investigators about that conversation and the other and this is particularly interesting is a conversation about kislyak trying to get the russian ambassador to delay or veto

a un security council resolution condemning israel on illegal settlements this is interesting because we had lots of speculation endlessly here in the u.s. about the potential collusion with a foreign power between the trump team and so on and usually talk about russia none of that's been proven yet but this actually was collusion with a foreign power it seems that benjamin netanyahu contacted the transition team. the special advisor to donald trump and suddenly all of the trump contacted flynn flynn then contacted kislyak and nothing came about it but this actually is against the law under the logan act punishable up with up to three years in prison is not going to be found guilty of that here today but it's fascinating that this is actual collusion with a foreign power and the u.s. . that's not terribly interested i wonder whether that might be because it's about israel not russia all right thank you well two men involved in a turkish lobbying campaign led by flynt have been charged with illegally lobbying

in a case related to the special counsel robert miller's investigation so that this story is on al-jazeera dot com. well one ruling by a u.s. judge has lots of people talking on social media and you're what's going on well during a poacher from my home state of missouri has been sentenced to prison for one of the largest deer poaching cases in state history david berry jr along with several members of his family illegally killed hundreds of deer for their heads and left the bodies in the forest to rot now the scale of the wildlife crime is terrible but what makes this story or what's made it take off on social media in the specially on reddit was the sentence that he received from the judge in addition to a year in prison and thousands of dollars in fines the judge ordered barry to watch in one thousand nine hundred two disney classic every month of his sentence. so that way hill hopefully become more compassionate towards wildlife or maybe just

be as traumatized as many of us were when we watched bambi as kids now barry and his father have also had their hunting and fishing privileges revokes for life there's a lot of people on twitter who approve of this kind of sense and seeing i must say davy here says that this is the energy that we need in twenty nineteen but there's some other hunters who say they doubt that this will have much of an effect this user here says as a hunter i have zero tolerance for poachers because they ruin hunters reputations so this might go down in the hall of fame of creative sentences some others you should know about in two thousand and four a woman in texas sentenced to jail for animal cruelty and the judge mounted giant photos of starving horses on her cell door in two thousand and five a woman in texas was convicted of abandoning kittens in a park so then several of them died of starvation and to avoid jail time she spent a cold night in the woods without food or camping equipment and in two thousand and

so to say marino is packing his bags after being sacked by manchester united joe tell us more that story during its there after the cubs worst start to a premier league season in twenty eight years manchester united have dominated english football for the best part of three decades but now they look like a shadow of their former selves they sit six thousand losing to liverpool last week and that was what finally convinced the board to cut ties with marino despite him having a contract until twenty twenty one the story is dominated social media world wide today with many of you also pointing out that it's exactly three years and one day since marine year was sacked by another english premier league club chelsea and that also came after a loss to liverpool the plays are not playing for him so hopefully we will see

a different program. yeah hopefully see if different where the play to change i mean look at look at his demeanor look look at him in the way he's an absolute misery this guy. criticizing his own players in public. signings are. often. well as he had better part of problem was his defensive and argumentative attitude that mean plenty of reports from clashing with his stuff on players including france international paul pogba who found himself at the center of attention strayed off from rio second following this instagram picture with the caption with the words caption this and many fans took it as a sly dig at joe you say over the departure he since deleted that post bought his france team mate and former united player patrice evra said he was annoyed with the

constant focus on poker and marine yeah let's focus on rebuilding something solid instead of being in a playground doing this is only disrespectful to the badge from now we only need positivity so the search of course is on for a new manager michael carrick has been put in charge for now but comedian tim vine suggests munched see knighted legend alex ferguson should come back all right really welling's joins us now live from london to talk a little bit more about this salt off with the social media reaction just how much power to play is in funds have been to the board really care what they think. it's quite strange just hearing the couple the comedian tim vine's had a bad expose and maybe he wasn't joking maybe because actually folks in the public probably took the well the good job now is back to have. just united and joes in the radio both separately voice fascinated football fans and people beyond football bring them together it's been like a soap opera the of the constant has been josie marino having up

a miserable to maintain just not look happy at any point they can some people speculating about whether he's just looking and waiting for the payoff he knows it's not working there are all these kind of things get people very gauged on social media paul pogba are certainly not blameless in this situation we can all put it the pot ball will actually stop playing well when a new manager comes in because he's a world cup winner he's a player of the highest quality but clayton just did not get on with it's actually come on to social media and by that comment you can see why a lot of united fans are people who football just think that's just not the white to go about this even though there's not that much sympathy sympathy for josie marino him self yes a pretty ugly chapter really the last few weeks why does munches to go from here. it's quite a difficult situation for them trying to get in a manager that will do anything like what alex ferguson achieved because they've had three consecutive failures morey's funnell now marina they don't want to sack

any of those managers but largely because of the financial pile of the guys who were on united don't like parting with money certainly not in an area like that they'd rather spend the money and not spend the money it's all so actually this time it's a cliche but that they have to get it right and i think that's one of the reasons they've said that there will be a long time manager appointed after a proper process but they'll be a caretaker before that with only got a social used to play for manchester united famously of course his name's in the frame to be a caretaker then you're looking long term with someone like patino tottenham would that would they go back visit in sudan they'll want someone who desperately want someone who gets it right this time because it's been a miserable few years for them just really briefly simmering years damaged reputation can't be repaired i don't think is a petition could be easily repaired because i don't think actually manchester

united should have appointed him in the first place i think he was absolutely discredited to chelsea and they appointed him when he's previous reputation builds up over ten fifteen years i think he was already a busted flush in that respect but he will come back a manager when i was a maybe he'll have some success with them maybe even at some point with his old friend portuguese friends to come out was all right lee thank you. formula one world champion lewis hamilton is another sports person under fire today he came second at an end of year sports award in the u.k. on sunday but it's a comment he made about his hometown that's been attracting criticism online now wilton grow up in stephen edge a town just north of london in an interview at the ceremony he said that part of his motivation to succeed when he was younger was to get out of the slums now he quickly corrected himself but no before angering quite a lot of people online many have suggested that hamilton has lost his right to criticize where he comes from given that he's now

a tax hikes all in monaco like surely he writes probably the wrong word to use but those who have escaped could use some of their hard earned gains to put something back and give others the opportunity to move forward and succeed and many including steven age towns council and football team have been sharing images like this one as you can see on the left hand side that is steven age and on the right picture of an actual slum now how much of himself is yet to comment on his slip up all right will peace will be back with more at eight hundred g.m.t. for now i will hand you back tutoring so thank you for that update will do it for this news grid you can keep in touch with us on social media the hash tag is a.j. news great all the ways to connect are right there we're on twitter at aging west we're also on facebook at facebook dot com slash al-jazeera and our what's up number is right there as well so do connect with us we will see you back here in
