welcome to the program an opposition leader says he's devastated that forty seven years after bangladesh gained independence elections a still not free and there are reports the parliamentary polls being investigated by the election commission following accusations of vote rigging and despite heavy security at least four people were killed in voting related violence but local media put that figure much higher. there is. even a bag. i would give. but prime minister sheikh hasina seeking a third consecutive term in office a main rival former prime minister has been jailed for corruption as parties accuse

know beneath the people of you me because all of. the dem will study their communities and you have to feel it. well the run up to the election has seen violence and voting was postponed in three opposition strongholds response protests in the east about one point three million voters have been excluded and will get another chance in three months meanwhile people in beni have held their own unofficial vote well catherine sawyer joins us live now from the capital kinshasa with the latest catherine we understand you say state security situation earlier at a polling booth tell us what happened. well the situation here is very this is an opposition stronghold and we've gone through this and one of them very angry because the whole thing. was not there they were shouting
