this war as he calls it being waged by the imperialist powers your country the united states and indeed the european countries as well how credible is that. it's not credible at all i mean of course he's looking to blame other people for his failings but the movement has destroyed venezuela they've corrupted and taken over the energy sector which is really the engine of growth in venezuela they've nationalized all of the private sector they've taken over the institutions of the state the supreme court the military the educational system and so there's no credibility at all to blame the international community for the failings of job but that he was said that it was interesting that he has acknowledged that there have been missed so i was going to just interject there and suggest well they have been roughed up to rough to us sanctions placed against venezuela that it getting something that he says is what is stymieing growth in his country.

but again he is missed intentionally misstating that there have been rounds of sanctions but they've been placed against individuals such as himself but also leaders of and as well who are credibly alleged to be corrupt or have been engaged in human rights abuses but that doesn't sanction the state and it certainly doesn't sanction the people of venezuela the sanctions the corrupt officials who have been the swellest so again he's using sanctions against himself and government officials to try to say well that's why the country is not doing well but clearly that's not the case right now venezuela now seems pretty isolated to seventy within the region doesn't it with any friends in cuba in bolivia and maybe in nicaragua where can nicaragua tend to now intensive friends intensive breaking this isolation that it seems to be the position it seems to be in now i think you're exactly right i mean it does have some international friends the ones you mention and also china and

candidates who run successfully for office especially for the presidency when really held to the standard of whether or not they made good on their campaign promises and clearly so far he's been able to make good on a number of the campaign promises he made including the tax reform being one of the key promises he made the walls another promise he made so if he's able to get funding for that all even if it's an emergency funding for the wall and they begin to construct a wall that he will have made good on what it is biggest campaign promise or yes it's a point to do so mentally is that a child so that it could backfire for him given the resistance being shown by the democrats in the house of representatives and the eight hundred thousand federal workers who are not getting paid not to mention the hundreds of thousands if not more of people who are dependent upon federal services then of course they are not receiving. well i wouldn't be surprised if the president took advantage of the

opportunity to declare a national emergency and he's already been given the green light to do that by senator lindsey graham who just took over as chairman of the judiciary committee by the way on the senate side but lindsey graham has suggested publicly that the president ought to bypass congress because he's not going to get the democrats to support money for funding for a wall and to declare a national emergency and to build a wall with those funds and the president is likely to do the bit what that does is it allows for the war to begin to be built and at the same time we did allows for congress to reopen government if that's off the table it allows congress to do support measures that would reopen the government so those eight hundred thousand federal workers who've been furloughed would have a chance to go back to work into it to be paid more importantly be patient work to do it because some are working right now to free yeah and as a sign of of what is to come your opinion
