with the news going to live on air and straining online through you tube facebook live and at al-jazeera dot com the trumpet ministration is facing an investigation into whether it's trying to sell sensitive nuclear technology to saudi arabia bypassing legal norms a committee of the house of representatives led by the democrats says that was a bogus tip them off of warnings that corporate interests are being put ahead of them nor and the american people mike hanna reports from washington d.c. the twenty four page report is extensive in reaching detail providing names dates and specific communications relating to u.s. nuclear technology in saudi arabia the oversight committee under representative elijah cummings based the report on what it calls whistleblower accounts evidence provided by career officials within the administration deeply concerned about what would appear to be a deeply corrupt process circumventing congress what is surprising us is the scope

of u.s. government officials. directly involved and business to business talks. with out this closing potential economic interest in the work that they were doing and that is certainly what is new among those named in the report to president trump's son in law and adviser jared cushion or who refinanced a deeply indebted new york building with a company called brookfield business partners which had just acquired a nuclear services company westinghouse electric under scrutiny as well question is ongoing relationship with the saudi crown prince mohammed bin solomon. and central to the report longtime trump supporter and one time national security advisor michael flynn who the report says was deeply involved in pushing a nuclear plan for saudi arabia that included the construction of as many as forty saudi nuclear plants the report says michael flynn was a paid advisor to

a company known as i p three international during the presidential campaign through the transition period and even while serving as national security advisor the report ends on february the twelfth that is last week president tran participated in a white house meeting with private nuclear power developers initiated by i p three international and as a democrat led oversight committee commences a large scale investigation the question is whether house republicans will commit to it as well mike hanna al-jazeera washington. now members of the u.s. congress away again on the story and as a social media produce what are you seeing injury well some strong comments being shared on twitter about this story one congressman steve lynch believes that this plan if true would violate federal law and put u.s.
6:05 pm
national security at risk border line insanity is how he describes it as we heard his chamber of the congress that's the house of representatives has launched a probe into this particular matter and on the senate side senator jeff merkley is accusing both the trump family and their friends of lining their pockets by selling saudi arabia the tools to potentially build a nuclear weapon something that he calls on twitter scandalous now he and every other member of the senate foreign relations committee introduced this resolution last week to prohibit the kingdom from enriching uranium in any form under any future agreement because there are certainly concerns that the saudis would use a civilian nuclear program for military purposes partially because the crown prince said so himself last year mohammed bin so man told c.b.s. news that saudi arabia does not want to acquire any nuclear bomb but without a doubt if you're wrong develop a nuclear bomb we will follow suit as soon as possible so with this latest
6:06 pm
revelation the iranian foreign minister mohammad jobs a wreath says that the u.s. doesn't really care about human rights or nuclear programs first a dismembered journalist he says now an illicit sale of nuclear technology to saudi arabia these things in his words fully expose u.s. hypocrisy now given all the concerns the u.s. has about iran's nuclear program it should be noted that iran's nuclear program was started by the united states fifty two years ago the u.s. supplied iran with this five megawatt nuclear reactor a research reactor the highly enriched uranium to fuel it and the technology that allowed iran to further its program in ways that went beyond what was initially intended it also trained a generation of nuclear scientists at in my. he arms control experts say that israel india and pakistan also benefited from the u.s. assistance under the atoms for peace program and they also diverted resources from u.s. assistance towards military uses so tell us what you think about the story in the
6:07 pm
broader implications what they might be for the region just get in touch with us on twitter using the hash tag eighteen is good and thank you very much for that well let's get more on this now we're joined by will say trent nucleus security specialist at the civilian research and development foundation all say i.d.f. and he's joining us live from washington d.c. very good to have you with us on al-jazeera there are so many questions about the story and we're actually getting a lot from people watching us from our view as i want to put some of them to you because they're very pertinent we have a question from ahmed who who says is this not a violation of the nuclear prolific a proliferation agreement how does saudi arabia get the favor. yes absolutely so. it's a slightly complicated question but the gist is this the u.s. has an atomic energy act something from one nine hundred fifty four which requires a one to three agreement for any transfer of nuclear related technology for
6:08 pm
civilian energy purposes however in that one two three agreement a lays out nine conditions that have to be met for transfers to take place and without going through all of the nine conditions the ultimate is there has to be a guarantee in place that the technology transferred will never be used to develop nuclear weapons now the fact that elements in the administration were supposedly willing to ignore this is deeply troubling so and of course that the one two three agreement of the u.s. energy energy agency acts is in place to comply with the nonproliferation treaty which the u.s. is bound by and stipulates that the united states will never support the proliferation of nuclear weapons technology so given all of that how damaging is this report to the u.s. administration and also what could happen as a result of the investigation. so if it is true if this
6:09 pm
report that the house democrats have put out is true it could be truly damaging for the down for the administration you know keep in mind that relations with saudi arabia are already tense and fraying because of the murder of jamal khashoggi. so this this has very dire implications for our relationship with saudi arabia even if the administration is reluctant to kind of you know not necessarily break ties with yemeni arabia but to distance himself with saudi arabia they might be forced to do so because of this this report if indeed there is such an agreement in the makings kind of behind the scenes might force them to break away and on that point you know we had another view elizabeth writing and saying why are we selling nuclear weapons to a government that ordered the middle of a us resident or for the referring of course to saudi journalist. we've had
6:10 pm
a response from the iranian foreign minister mohammad job it's a brief and he's called this u.s. hypocrisy does he have a point there and not only does he have a point that you know how does this look given the u.s. pulled out all the nuclear doom with iran. you know well it looks bad but first of all to your viewers question i will stress that we are not talking about the sale of nuclear one zero the problem with civilian nuclear energy technology is that it can inherently be used for the long term development of nuclear weapons right this was the whole points with iran nuclear deal that we came to in two thousand and fifteen right the technology that your reporter mike pointed out that we sold to iran back in the one nine hundred fifty s. was being used in the development of a nuclear weapons program the brilliance of the iran nuclear deal was that we stopped them called in their tracks iran agreed to permanently and verifiably
6:11 pm
dismantle any elements in any remainder of the program to give us certainty in confidence that this technology was not being used to develop a nuclear weapons program so in a sense what iran did was agree to a one two three type agreement where we had confidence that the civilian technology would not be used for nuclear weapons purposes and if this report is true that is what elements within the administration want to circumvent in the case of saudi arabia which i think would be very unwise and that's to say train it is great to get your expertise on this we appreciate your time and that is will say and live and washington d.c. thank you now we have a very good article on al-jazeera dot com which breaks down the key points the strands of the story it's called donald trump rushing to sell saudi arabia nuclear technology and you'll find that on our home page how do you get in touch with us they want to hear from you on these stories you can send us your comments to any of our online platforms on twitter use the hash tag new script on hand in this at a.j.

english but also on facebook facebook dot com slash al-jazeera send us a message on whatsapp or telegram the number is plus line seven four. seven four. five zero one four one four nine and just one last comment about the story again elizabeth asking how can trump complain about iran when he's doing this and so thankful for whistleblowers to keep your comments coming in but let's move on to other news now brazil says it's coordinating with the u.s. to deliver aid to its border with venezuela as a february twenty three deadline set by opposition leader why the approaches brazil's rightwing government has recognized why though as interim president and as border regions of facing and flux of venezuelans seeking safety and health care let's go now to a correspondent mohammed and he's joining us live from ball vista near the venezuelan border and mohamed you have been meeting some of those people that we
6:13 pm
just mentioned. and that's right elizabeth let me first just tell our viewers where we are right now here in this is one of twelve shelters that has that is being coordinated by brazil's federal government the army and supported by the u.n. refugee agency it's called and on to there are actually five hundred in his wayland's who are here and this is one of twelve shelters in that house approximately somewhere around seven thousand venezuelans who is ill for various reasons now as you mentioned of one of the things that we found out the last few days is the depth of of how bad the health care system is how decimated it is even as well as by meeting so many even as wayland's who are been have been afflicted with easily treatable maladies and illnesses but who could not get that kind of treatment that they needed or the medication that they needed in venezuela because
6:14 pm
of how bad things have gotten we spent a few days and. general hospital here in both vista speaking to venezuelans about their plight here's our report. free a live body but full of spirit rafael majorca exudes the kind of calm determination most people in his condition would find hard to muster. before being transported to this hospital in neighboring brazil the thirty year old venezuelan was at death's door and while he's still extremely weak he's also much improved. my why that is sexy he had skin rashes pneumonia and all of his conditions would derive from his diabetes which was uncontrolled that's most probably because access to things like insulin is writ and venezuela is insulin a medication for diabetes patients readily available in most countries the world
6:15 pm
over but rafael whose aunt watches over him now just as she had prayed over him when he was in a coma wasn't so lucky i've been afraid in venezuela we can't get anything life just isn't good we can't get medicine we can't get insulin nothing had verify all stayed there he wouldn't be alive today. for the time being rafael is unable to speak but he is communicative his doctor who studied medicine in venezuela still finds it hard to believe things have gotten so bad in her patient's homeland and i have to go when i was a student venezuela had to acknowledge that we couldn't find in brazil not just equipment but also medicine we now see that in only a few years the house system deteriorated to the point that they don't even have the most basic needs. in this relatively poor part of brazil the influx of so many even israel is in need of medical care has put further strain on the area's already stretched healthcare facilities walking through crowded corridors of where i'm
6:16 pm
a general hospital the director general shows me how they no longer have space for all the patients sadly rafael is one of many even as well as at this hospital suffering from a medical condition that should have been easily treatable another stark reminder of the near complete collapse of the health care system in venezuela. before coming to brazil thirty four year old ricci cordoba kept going to see the doctor about the pain in his abdomen he was assured many times it was nothing serious but months after arriving here in the city of boa vista he got the proper diagnosis appendicitis and an old server and i mean that and more job in a salon it's a shame venezuelans have to leave the country with a will born because of the economic situation and because of the lack of medicines for illness and go to other countries who receive us with a friendly embrace. some may call it an embrace others may call it treatment for many ailing venezuelans though it's
6:17 pm
a much needed road to recovery they simply cannot find at home. now elizabeth brazil's government has been steadfast in reiterating the past few weeks that they were intending to get some type of aid in venezuela we know now that the date for that aid to start flowing into venezuela has been set for this next saturday february twenty third this is an effort according to brazil's government that is going to be ordinated with the united states by which aid and we're talking about food stuffs and medical supplies we don't yet know how much will be placed on brazil's border with venezuela on the brazilian side and we are told that the venezuelan opposition leader he requested this that he will arrange for venezuelan vehicles to come into brazil to get that aid take it back into venezuela and then have it distributed among the people in venezuela obviously this is
6:18 pm
a situation that may not be as cut and dry as it sounds at this point most likely it will be riddled with more complications we expect to hear more about what exactly is going to happen on saturday and where exactly this aid distribution point is going to be set up in the days ahead many believe it will be in the town of pocket i'm a that is about two hundred kilometers north of us about two and a half hour drive that is a town that is right on the border with venezuela and it's the main entry point for venezuelans even as whale of an inch or more than brazil elizabeth mamma thank you very much for that is mohamed jumped to live in all of this to thank you now venezuela's military has reaffirmed its loyalty to president nixon us in the brutal despite calls from opposition to han why though and donald trump to switch and asians defense minister vladimir putin says the armed forces remain will remain in position along the border with colombia soldiers are deployed at several places to block us an aide from entering the country why bill has given

a saturday deadline for the government to let the shipment send. if you want to sanction us if you want to blackmail us blackmail us but you want to achieve your mission you want to achieve it we'll take the sanctions will listen to your blackmail but will definitely remain with the homeland with our home that that stop the manipulation already and say that this is an issue of a political even personal nature now latin america editor spoke to some venezuelans who continue to support. a tiny primary health care center in caracas has picked that area latin america's largest slum. inside a sixty three year old son said they knew she has broken pneumonia and needs an x. ray medication and much more but there's none to be had she complains that the center is falling apart and that there's no medicine in stock yet she's still

a firm supporter of the ms wales government. those of us who support the government carry it in our veins we can't be so i'm grateful i had a son who had three open heart surgeries thanks to our government not everyone thinks the same but i remained faithful. years of shortages rising crime a social welfare state in disarray and the world's worst hyperinflation has seen millions of venezuelans calling for president nicolas models ouster. for twenty years after deceased president hugo chavez introduced venezuelans to the concept of twenty first century socialism there are still some true believers. at this diagnosis the clinic doctors are desperate because they haven't received medicine for two months but the community council representatives have an explanation the same one as president model. it's all the fault of the us empire they blocked the entry of food and medicine into venezuela we have money to import what we need but
6:21 pm
now the empire wants to appropriate venezuela's oil wealth. in actual fact the sale of food and medicine to venezuela isn't blocked although in the last two months the trumpet ministration has applied even tighter economic sanctions aimed to hasten mother's ouster. that makes it even more difficult to import all these food boxes called clapp which mcdougall has been distributing over the last two years a welcome sight of poor residents of all political colors boxes are heavily subsidized they sell for one hundred twenty that is. everything that's in here costs more than twenty thousand that is in fact many families depend on this to survive. although critics accuse the government of using hunger as a tool for political control the majority of those on the distribution list like. oppose the government anyway. but not. sanchez they're among the

minority who remain faithful to the promise of the bolivarian revolution. we have to give this government time we just have to wait for the situation to. we need is that it's a dream and nobody said it would be easy especially since we are confronting not just a new person but the world's most powerful. there was a time when the majority of in israel and shared that dream but after six years of political strife corruption and economic hardships their numbers had dwindled but not their stubborn determination to remain loyal to chavez's legacy you see in human i'll just see that in his way that. the president of pakistan administered kashmir has told al jazeera there's a risk of war with india after last week's bombing in the disputed region forty one andean paramilitary soldiers were killed in the suicide attack. mohammad has
6:23 pm
claimed responsibility well earlier we sat down with muscle. we reject the allegations that the indian government has made and we all saw denounced the kind of frenzy that indian ruling party and the extremist groups have victor up there in india and the kind of anti pakistan and ticklish mute sentiment that they are weeping up there is a very very negative and this is pushing the two countries to the brink of war and we are against this kind of warmongering the other reaction that i want to give is that there is a bigger reality there is this incident of course and pakistan has denied any responsibility so has assad but at the same time i would like to say that there is a bigger reality there and the bigger reality is that for the past seventy one gere's midis have been brutalized and about half
6:24 pm
a million views have been killed in the past. seventy one hears i think that the united nations secretary general and the united nations security council both must get involved and broker some sort of. deal between the two countries if you don't call it a deal in deed at least it should try to deescalate the situation because this is the responsibility of the united nations to remove any threats to international peace and security and there is a very serious threat to international and regional peace and security in the region well let's get more on this now we're joined by retired indian navy commodore and director of the society for policy studies and he's joining us live from the indian capital new delhi that's about a very good to have you with us on al-jazeera do you a crate agree with the president of pakistan administered kashmir has just told us that there's a risk of war here. i would not
6:25 pm
quite agree with what has been said by people on the other side in august by the sheer because it is true that there has been a major threat of attack in india and on wall mind the state of jumbo in kashmir and the indian prime minister mr modi has said that the it would be of response from india particularly to build pressure on pakistan to take action against this particular group called the moment which operates from pakistani soil. and the leader of the group of the mom of his name and most of the other he has a large sprawling complex in a place far behind in port and all of this can be checked out to google and g.p.s. in terms of the coordinates so i think the current indian attempt is to build the political and diplomatic pressure on pakistan to do what are they expected of any
6:26 pm
nation under un. under un one of those that have been boston resolutions that they must act on better groups operating from the site so that's the indian expectation is and if august on doesn't act on a muhammad if they don't take action against jaish e mohammad will india do so or. when i think there is a subtle but i'm ability that india may take that off because prime minister maulvi had assured me that he angry citizens in india that there would be a response because the morning india is one of our cleats and that i minister modi has also indicated that the security forces have been given a free hand so the exact detail of how this is likely to happen can only be speculated but my sense as a matter list is that by mr modi is now going into a national election. and he would have to appear as
6:27 pm
a leader who can deal with the kind of challenges that india is dealing with from mumbai of two thousand and eight november to where we are now in february twenty ninth with the mine city but do you think that prime minister ability does should prime minister more they don't respond to that outrage that you speak of and dia by carrying out attacks in pakistan or could he leave by. trying to resolve this peacefully do you think and what are the chances of international mediation on this the president again of pakistan administered push made he was joining the pakistan's ambassador to the un and asking the u.n. to mediate what india accept mediation to resolve these tensions. well i think what india would expect from the global community is that the united nations security council ward prevailed upon pakistan to do whatever is
6:28 pm
expected in relation to the jaisha mamma and the leader of the group as i said muscle is to be listed by the un france is likely to move a proposal to the un security council very soon but we are aware that china has played a negative role in not allowing the listing of muscle so this is the indian expectation from the global community and if the un s.c. is able to arrive at a consensus i think that would help definitely in ensuring that pakistan complies with what the global community expects from it and if we put pakistan aside and look at what's actually happening and dia and you spoke of that outrage and dia and that's actually led to attacks against innocent maydays across the country do you think that the government is doing enough to stop these attacks that have issued security warnings but given that this is a government
6:29 pm
a hindu nationalist government that has been accused of stalking both and made an anti muslim sentiment and it's you know a five year term is it also partly to blame for people thinking that they can go out and attack innocent meetings. well i would say that yes there has been anger and outrage and it is true that certain citizens of fish periodization any india have been intimidated there have been reports of a certain amount of why lens against shopkeepers and so on but let me add that despite this the indian state i'm very very i would say you know attributed to the force that had been attacked the central it was a police force and see if they have gone out of their way and put out to the social media and reached out to media citizens all know what india to say that the sciatic be of can be contacted to help them and as it happens
6:30 pm
a few citizens will wanted to go back to push me on to their homes but also as guarded so i'd like to indicate a point out that the indian state has done what is expected off the street there is no i became and the citizens of this meeting across the country have been reassured even by their fellow citizens that we do not want to fall into the trap of want that that is a seeking which is to cause a certain division in the social cohesion of india and i'm glad to say that this has been the response all across india will reassure citizens from push me that they would be looked after and to ask where is that anxiety it's just about to thank you for your time and your perspective on this that is colorado and i bosco alive and new delhi thank you. now we have a special page called on al-jazeera dot com it has all the updates as well as analysis on what is one of the longest disputes in the world. now if you're

prophecy india and saudi arabia have signed investment deals as the conference to have a good film on that indian prime minister getting there morty and a story that has got a lot of attention the british teenager should mean a begum he went to join i saw him a few years ago has returned wants to return to the u.k. but it has having his citizenship revoked all that and much more. now to eastern syria where dozens of trucks carrying women and children have been leaving the last drop of territory held by eisel the u.s. backed syrian democratic forces say they expect to recapture the village of bogle's within days it's believed there are about three hundred isis fighters they using civilians as human shields and holding them hostage while elsewhere in southern syria a twenty four hour window allowing people safe passage out of a remote refugee camp has passed but so far no one's used the corrido opened up by russia and the syrian government looked on campus at the syrian desert near the

border with jordan and iraq forty thousand and one of the displaced people had been living there some of them for years despite the dire conditions at the camp some explained why they chose to stay. but i never saw the ocean but i was going to see the crossings opened by the regime and the russian military police are claimed to be safe but the people here are not feeling any safety or stability people here feel as if they are drowning and looking for anything at all to rescue themselves the road to the camp has been kept in a barn and i'm sometimes people don't believe that these crossing are open to. me but. i am for me personally if i leave it would be on me to go from one death trap to another if i found a safe place for may my kids and my family i would guard in this revolt opening the crossing is a good step but we wanted to be are the same by the un because of lies we have been
6:37 pm
told before nobody believes these crossings are safe but iran khan has more from. the turkish syrian border. the official window for the corridor has closed at nine am local time this morning however we haven't had any confirmation from either the russians or the syrian government as to whether they may well be an extension we have seen extensions of these corridors in the past the normally open for twenty four hours and then get extended to allow people through but there's an enormous amount of suspicion from the people of out of own camp themselves who say that they're actually worried that the international community isn't monitoring these humanitarian corridors tearing corridos and that they're very suspicious of the syrian and the russians now depending on who you speak to there is a real concern that perhaps the syrians and the russians are doing this with some sort of show to pay lip service to the idea that they are concerned about humanitarian issues and that's why they've opened up this corridor but without any
6:38 pm
kind of negotiation we haven't heard certainly publicly whether there has been negotiation between the syrians the russians in the free syrian army who control the exits and entrances to one camp and that's why people i suspicions and secondly they haven't been able to leave because they're free syrian army haven't had any guarantees so although they may well be negotiations going on backstage in secret certainly publicly the it looks like it feels like that the syrians the russians and the free syrian army aren't talking to each other and that's why nobody has used these corridors quite francis has failed to appear at a planned meeting but survivors of sex abuse by priests and meeting the supposed to be a prelude to a four day summit of church leaders on the issue which starts on thursday the catholic church has been hit by a series of scandals and recent years critics say the pope has been slow to act or a challenge has more from the vatican. well
6:39 pm
a group of survivors of abuse in the catholic church have been in the vatican having a meeting for at least two hours now they have just come out they thought they were going in to meet the pope himself and we can speak with one of the group that was in there this is dr denise buchanan. it was on the point was it you know the pope was in there was just a forum members of the steering committee and they basically wanted us to speak about whatever we wanted to speak about one carlos cruz arranged the meeting and he did say the pope wasn't going to be there but we as survivors of representing the global movement of survivors around the world this is like why would the pope be there so how does the news really think you mean the message disappointed i'm discouraged frustrated because the fact is who who is the one that can actually implement the policies in the world if the pope the pope is a one that is a decision maker that can put into law right now zero tolerance or any preset abuses children he can put into law zero tolerance for any priest that covers up
6:40 pm
these crimes he can put it into law right now so you would have sex when what i would have said what's the hold up why are you not doing this right now to remove from the priesthood any priest that covers up these crimes it is a crime against humanity it's a crime against children i'm here so that no other child can go through what i went through as a child yes i mean i was sexually abused by every so i was impregnated by a priest he actually paid for the oppression cover i did all that said i was his girl and continued to abuse me for years right as a matter of he's still in practice in jamaica still doing what he's doing got a medal four years ago for outstanding abuse i wish it was a medal it was a medal for you know doing good in the past and ship and so i know you know i have this come from. and so now it's going to get results more time for me i have faith
6:41 pm
in the survivors i don't have any faith in the stereo committee and the pope to do anything i think we're survivors need to keep the pressure run keep expectations high i really keep pushing that we're the ones here speak to us we're the ones that have the solutions we know what will work we are the ones willing to work with them to create a solution so it's like here we are so we're going to keep on being present keep on demonstrating keep on being vocal and with that we are really really wanting at the end of it for this to be a solution that will work dr doom is becoming thanks very much frankly is really that thank you so that is the doctors and he's be kind and there is going to be this unprecedented four day conference really they're starting on thursday finishing on sunday this is the part basically getting all of a great many people from the catholic church together to try to find some way of moving forward on the issue of abuse in the coffee church which has been such
6:42 pm
a scandal for so many years meanwhile there are conservative factions within the church that disagree with how the pope as handling the abuse scandals cardinals raymond burke and walter brand want to have issued an open letter saying the problem isn't with catholic institutions but with growing intolerance and tolerance rather all homosexuality the demanding immediate action and what they call the play of the hole in the section agenda and the church. let's take a look now at some of the other stories making news around the world egypt has executed nine people who were convicted of assassinating a top prosecutor or were found guilty of taking part in the bombing that killed twenty fifteen six others had their death sentences commuted to life in prison the government blamed the attack on the muslim brotherhood and gaza base harass both have denied any involvement. russia's president is warning the u.s.

against stationing its missiles in europe speaking during his annual address to parliament let me approach and said moscow wasn't looking for confrontation with washington after both countries pulled out of a cold war era arms treaty the persian said russia would respond to any u.s. deployment religion and russia will be forced to create and develop weapons that can be used not only towards those territories that threaten us directly which is good also against the decision making centers that are behind it the missile systems which threaten us. three m. pigs in the u.k. have resigned from the governing conservative party over what they describe as the prime minister's disastrous handling of bricks that they say they're joining a new independent group formed by labor politicians who left their party over breakfast and anti semitism it adds to the pressure on the prime minister to raise a mayor she struggles to get parliament to approve her e.u. withdrawal deal before the brics a deadline on march twenty nine paul brennan has more from london.

as a numerical force within the house of commons the lower house of parliament it's unlikely that the votes of these eleven are going to make a huge difference to be perfectly frank and the reason for that is because they are well known dissidents who voted against the government sounding abraxas so far. so the government has not really relied on them in the past for support and so they certainly not going to rely on them in the future whether or not these m.p.'s can now act as a kind of lightning rod to attract more support from other m.p.'s disillusioned at the way both labor and the ruling conservatives have gone about handling the bracks it debate over the past two years that is potentially an area where there may be a bigger impact caused by these eleven resignations and i think the other possibility of where impact might be felt is in brussels where the prime minister is going later on the south after noon and it's to talk to the european commission
6:45 pm
president john for youngcare and she has been told previously by brussels look if we can trust that we give you a deal or some deal that we negotiate is going to be getting acceptance when you get back to parliament we might be more willing to negotiate but as we look at it as brussels looks at it the divisions within the british political scenario the british political scene mean that even if they gave concessions there's no guarantee that a majority would be attained in the lower house the house of commons and that's one of the reasons that brussels gives for being so reluctant to move on any of the points where the british would like them to move now british teenager who joined eisel in syria when she was fifteen years old is going to lose his u.k. citizenship should mean the bacon was one of three girls from a slug and he went to syria and twenty fifteen it's reported an order has been made by the u.k. home office to remove his citizenship just days ago she gave birth to a son and a syrian refugee camp

a family's lawyer has indicated they will fight the decision made vaca has the latest from london. the nineteen year old who gave birth to a baby boy over the weekend was told via letter to her parents that she was being stripped of her british citizenship according to home office it was not conducive to the public good to allowed to return to the u.k. according to the nine hundred eighty one british nationality act the u.k. can legally do this providing that they don't leave anybody stateless in the process according to family she doesn't have any other citizenship she doesn't have an have any other passports but we believe that she does have bangladeshi heritage and there is something a bangladesh called the law of blood allowing people with bangladeshi lineage to eight be able to apply for citizenship it does of course prompt a very obvious question is she now if for no matter how temporary a period without citizenship or is there a degree of overlap we are yet to hear from the bangladesh your thirty's of course

whether or not they will take a given the fact that she traveled to syria given the fact that she married and i saw a fighter and critics of this decision also say well with the british government have done this had she been a jewel national of a western country are they essentially passing the buck on to a country outside europe there is also a big moral and ethical question over child of the child is automatically british whoever is making this next decision will have to weigh up the potential threat posed by this newborn and the rights of the child. saudi state media says full soldiers have been killed while fighting with the rebels on the border with yemen the rebels say they continuing with a military offensive at the border taking saudi military positions south of. the worst outbreak of violence since the un both a peace deal was signed and december. now

pop celebrities may negatively influence their fans by promoting standards of beauty that critics have called unrealistic cosmetic surgery is a multi-billion dollar industry in south korea with the highest rate of plastic surgeries per capita in the entire world as many as one third of young women in south korea are believed to have at some point gone under the knife. and you can also see this reflected in some of the music a k. pop band called six bomb released this controversial video in twenty seven scene shortly after the group's members each went through extensive plastic surgery procedures themselves. now one fan page asked their followers if they had been negatively affected by this music and one fan here said that she took the beauty standards so seriously that she began going on extremely unhealthy diets another posted or another admits that they've spent so much time obsessing over their appearance which negatively impacts her feeling of self worth now one movement

that's tried to tackle this issue head on in the past it's called escape the corset last year many south korean women posted makeup free selfies and videos of themselves destroying their makeup to protest these beauty norms and one korean beauty blogger shared her thoughts about all of this. koreans are trained and kind of exposed find a need to know that oh i'm done was still scared of on those and those patients make koreans beautiful by the media industry because we always see korea and girl as capable idols or korean celebrities the golden state and that's something that us korea has always criticize as well because we don't want all of the cable i don't know where we don't want korean celebrities to look all the same so if you're watching us from south korea or you're possibly just a big fan of k. pop to get in touch with us a lot of snow your thoughts you can tweet us using the hash tag it in it's crude
