he's arrested. hello again and welcome back to international weather forecast or good news across europe we are looking at several days of beautiful weather across much of europe now that's all going to be due to some high pressure that is going to be dominated cross much of this area we're still going to have some clouds over here towards the east down here towards the south as well but for the majority of europe it is going to be looking quite nice as we go from friday as well as into saturday so look at these temperatures london at sixteen paris at eighteen circuits sixteen vienna at fifteen and as we go towards saturday well what we're going to be seeing is maybe some clouds up here towards the north but still the majority of europe is still going to be looking quite nice temperatures are actually coming up paris at
5:01 pm
nineteen degrees there once we go towards sunday though we are going to start to see more clouds coming in from the north the south is going to ring quite nice with rome at about twenty degrees there well not so nice is what's going to happen here across the eastern part of the med notice clouds right there that is going to be a storm that is developing across the region bring some very heavy rain not only to africa but also the levant and also into parts of crete cyprus as well as into turkey for cairo we do expect to see some windy conditions for you at twenty nine bengazi it is going to be a cloudy day at sixteen in tripoli at about sixteen for you. who was sponsored by qatar at. the time a fish every week a new cycle brings a seemingly simple breaking stories and then of course there's donald trump town through the eyes of the outstanding east that's right out of a hamas script that calls for the an aisle asian of israel that is not what that phrase means at all the listening post as we turn the cameras on the media focus on

how they recruit on the stories that matter the most in bad news a free palestine and listening heist on al-jazeera. but again let's have a reminder of our top stories this hour and saudi arabia has released three prominent female activists from jail and the trials of being held there among eleven women arrested last may for the human rights we're having contacts with foreign journalists to. the un special rapporteur on extrajudicial executions just called on saudi arabia to try the eleven suspects in the murder of jamal khashoggi in public i release the names. bangladesh's minister says criminal charges will be

put the deal before parliament again if it was fundamentally different but i do expect the government to meet the test of change so the government devised a plan to split the deal already agreed with the e.u. into its two constituent parts the withdrawal agreement and the political declaration that would draw agreement includes details about citizens' rights the fifty one billion dollars breaks that bill for leaving the e.u. and the northern irish border it's a legally binding document and has to be passed in parliament by friday to allow the u.k. to leave the e.u. on may the twenty second. the political declaration on the other hand dictates the future relationship between the u.k. and e.u. and forms the basis of future trade talks it's a much shorter document it's also not legally binding by separating the two plan to vote only on the withdrawal agreement was given the green light by the speaker to go before parliament on friday and this was how it was presented this house notes

the european council decision at the twenty second of march twenty nine thousand taken in agreement with the united kingdom but want to see it all mean in short the government is using the friday deadline set by the e.u. to secure backing for eighty percent of teresa mayes proposal resetting the bricks and clock to may the twenty second if the plan gets the required support it will allow the u.k. to leave the e.u. with a deal in total in the country to a two year transition period it's been called the bare bones of bricks it it is a big risk for the government considering hard line break cities and to reason may's own party and northern ireland's democratic unionist party that props up maine's government of repeatedly refused to back it. they'll have to rely on support from other sides of the house but the opposition labor party has said that it would be the blindest of blind bricks it that would mean leaving. with absolutely no idea where we're heading that canopy except all. the

more m.p.'s are continuing to look for an alternative to teresa mayes deal so after seizing control of parliamentary proceedings on wednesday no single plan gained a majority of m.p.'s will vote again on monday the big question both leaves and remain as are asking now is whether to reserve made gamble will pay off the barca al-jazeera westminster. or let's get more now from a hunter who joins us live from london and harder so what's the talk in the u.k. this morning will the gamble pale. well i think all eyes will be on that debate will see which will start in about an hour and a half at nine thirty g.m.t. we think and that should last about four hours after that they should be the vote now i think to talk here in the u.k. about the legality really of separating the withdrawal agreement from the political declaration who has said it very clear in may generated those two chapters of the
5:07 pm
same deal now at the moment they said in his report date floating for do with agreement i think that's just to meet the deadline of eleven pm tonight that was set by the e.u. next week but then you have the issue of the political declaration and we've heard from many m.p.'s here saying especially the opposition the labor opposition saying well without that political declare ration we really don't know where we're heading where we're basically jumping in the unknown and then the second issue is well actually to resume even if she did this political maneuver and come up with this solution will she get the numbers to get that deal through and if she doesn't get the numbers what would that then mean. well if she doesn't get the numbers according to what was set in brussels last week then the deadline is april twelfth by day and it's either do you k. leaves the e.u.
5:08 pm
with no deal or it comes up with something new that will chart do way forward that is acceptable to you so certainly the deadline is much shorter and the unknown and the uncertainty over this country continues and they don't hold i will leave the time being it to be with you today goes on no doubt thanks very much indeed and gyptian delegation has been in israel and in gaza trying to negotiate a peace deal to visit follows a major escalation this week between israel and hamas that's enough for her more from gaza city. well after the latest escalation earlier in the week another relatively calm day in gaza but the next two days friday and particularly saturday could well be a lot more tense saturday is the first anniversary of the great march of return the massive border protests that have taken so much attention during the course of the last twelve months i have seen so much bloodshed more than six and
5:09 pm
a half thousand people injured by israeli sniper fire more than two hundred fifty palestinians killed during the course of those protests and hamas is calling on a major mobilization of people to go and protest again on saturdays and mark that anniversary at the same time as there's been a big mobilization of israeli forces on the other side the prime minister benjamin netanyahu was visiting those troops saying that he had mobilized extra forces to ensure that israel could carry out a broader military operation if so required but said that would only take place if or other options had been exhausted in those other options really center on the progress being made or otherwise of egyptian media's who are now mediators rather who are now back inside gaza having been inside israel earlier on thursday trying to come to some kind of long term truce between hamas and israel as they have been for many months now the speculation is about some kind of a deal involving easing of import restrictions into gaza easing of fishing

restrictions job creation in alliance with the united nations but the israeli government the israeli prime minister in particular is under a good deal of pressure given that he's just a couple of weeks away from an election to project strength rather than give hamas too much already he's been criticized for not having done enough in response to a rocket launch earlier this week and so there is a big military presence on the israeli side and we're expecting a big protest on the gaza side on saturday so that does make for a very volatile mix a leading edge of an activist who's been released from prison after. serving a five year sentence for inciting protests. was arrested in two thousand and thirteen following a military takeover he rose to prominence as an anti-government blogger during the two thousand and eleven two thousand and eleven revolution will be on probation for the next five years and will remain under police surveillance police in the philippines for the rest of the chief executive of the news website the government

5:22 pm
of them and the creator of the the people who are. you know are in the student. body positive hashtags like disabled people all hoped adhoc person will chair of being shed on social media to highlight and aspects of people with disabilities that isn't represented in popular culture disabled unsexy this is what disability awareness consultant andrew gaza he just saw had to say about the hash tag he created. busy of some twitter and i just typed in disabled people are hard and i got the notification that this has never been in before and i thought wow there's something i can do with this i ran with it i did a really quick tweet saying if you have if you're disabled and you have a picture of yourself that makes you feel good sexy happy. that you're proud of the simple reason post here using the hash tag and i didn't think anything of it. you
5:23 pm
know trick can be something going to things are always are also put out there didn't take any of it in i went to bed an hour later the next morning which was blowing up with mentions with cash like. i think that disabled people just wanted another outlet to justin's out they think all of this stuff was happening before my hash tag in my hash and certainly not the creation of legs taken silly of course not but it gave us an elder lead to do that to give us permission to say yeah i did actually today i do feel sensual today i do feel really good about myself today as a disabled person and i'm going to protect your back and i think it's amazing to me that it's gone so far all over the world around people they were harmed as they were going the other is we tarrie story plea to disabled people or. to be considered in time we can see like shogun to be controlled non-sexual or a sexual. and we are afraid that by making them sexual.
5:24 pm
they are too much like the ones who are really us who are afraid to admit that somebody who is who has a badly difference or who has disability could be considered sexy that scared us as a society because one day disability is going to affect all of us and that and that really will tear muscle to think something that was considered wrong is that. has talked more about these issues on set lawrence carts along director of communications for the disability rights education and defense fund he's based in berkeley california in essex in the u.k. i am a fool a strike she is a power a limp a welsh and racer and disability rights activist adie monterrey mexico money and held. a disability and diversity activist she's also the founder of the nonprofit mexican women with disabilities i guess it is so good to have you here so much to
5:25 pm
talk about let me start here with mommy cough a mommy cough says this hash tag is really fun made me smile i think it does raise the issue in a non-contentious way the issuance is what well i think the issue for me what this illustrates what andrew's story illustrates is that disabled people are asking for anybody's permission anymore we're the owners were claiming or we're putting it out there into the world you know for most of human history disability was just the diagnosis that's all you got yeah what andrew's story and i think what the popularity of these hashtags street is that if us disabled people what the word means to them you're going to get a variety of responses we're going to get history you're going to get community you're going to get constituency you're going to get identity and you're going to get sexy and i think that really shows how far we've come and how far were coming in society and how those changes are being made and that people are claiming it for themselves and that. you know access to top post we have to identify that
5:26 pm
actually disability is not a problem it's not a shortcoming. and complete disability i just saw tired of being put in a box and global and you know our disability people don't have feelings disability people don't do this and that and i think we've reached a time where we want to come out of that box you know out of the out of the cool and sort of just be ourselves express who we are and also let me say let me in you say that i think it goes just be hard to beyond the hash tag. it doesn't end there because we're not just about we are more than that but the hashtag has created a very good composition actually accepted the challenge oh ok oh it let me just see what the auto i have here we have a very good looking bunch of guests here the only time i will ever say to string guess i guess you look hot so let me just see what i have here this is a beautiful picture and. tell us about the speech and what was behind it.
5:27 pm
but you know when you when you look at this picture what do you see do you just see and ricin chair i look at that body look at my mass was look at my hair if you see a presentation of someone who loves a self and and that's that's who i am i allowed myself after never actually let my disability hold me back or prevent me from enjoying life doing the things that any other woman would like to do i'm just thinking about what you do in my own hell which is help people who have disabilities you take pictures of them you make them feel powerful why do you do that how does that help you think. are on the warre are going on what are your what we are i don't think i need going again. by now. but a very important part of. when. people feel. the
5:28 pm
need out of the military you can be really proud of your disability and the only other way you could be hurting and not happy with having a disability one thing that i do think it's important that we all wanted and want we all too well on to feel that way we can be honest and we wanted this. ng a picture of where you are at and labeling yourself that in your. area you could also be that as any other that you want could be anything we want. at the same yourself but if you are out and you out of it and here's our help in need that you go through the legacy whatever and actually. are. and i really like marianne you're saying because it's not just about the outsides you know or the outward appearance the outlook is you know empowerment must come from
5:29 pm
within so when you're feeling good about your sash from the inside you has sought to express it on the outside and you know you look at yourself you look at your reflection in the mirror and you look at this beautiful gorgeous pass on and it's not just outright you know it's comes from inside and to me that is empowerment the most important part of this i think is one people get to when they see the pictures and they see the hashtag disabled people are hard one they can be see themselves in that picture somewhere they can start to think of themselves a little differently in a way that they've never had the opportunity to do before i'll be fifty two years old is here i did not get involved the disability community until i was about thirty five other people shouldn't have to wait that was what we're starting to see with people claiming it themselves putting it out there for themselves is you know the saying this is nothing about us without us that that has to go to community as kind of adopted other social justice movements abusive what we're starting to see now. is an updated version of that which basically says nothing without us period
5:30 pm
right so it could be jobs it could be employment it could be education we're also saying we're clearly norway it's in our state to be a part of everything that you folks not disabled folks take for granted and i think that's the real power of these campaigns i'm going to show you saw i got another comment and how tough a moment i have to show everybody the way that i call to know you and switches as a dollar yes i did say to us adults right xplain as we look at your south can so just not all young. surprise i had more hair among. people you dislike thinking disability in the word heart don't go together they didn't think disability in the word dance go together either and it's so little over a decade ago i was involved with a project with a choreographer in new york city high lasky we called the show because we knew that i walked a little different way we know people do disability know who they are and what
5:31 pm
their their situations are this was a troop of people who are disabled and disabled we toured the world we opened the dublin dance festival we went to katmandu we did lincoln nebraska we were a legal challenge people's perceptions of that with people who are. disabled can't and don't well there's a swan motion right that says well anybody can dance well that's true anybody can dance in the living room anybody can sing in the shower not everybody there is going to be an on stage performer that everybody is going to have people paid to see that performance so we had to be better than good at all these assumptions about all that's so nice that since we were looking for a sensitive life and another thing you've got to bring that intensity to it themselves and that intensity itself right that passion that power that's something disabled people know we hang out we talk to each other we sort of bring that every day this is something this is a glimpse of our world that the non-disabled community haven't seen before and they're just starting to get them i have to. introduce guest tom sex me into this
5:32 pm
conversation there is a very famous professor of disability research he wants the bust a few misconceptions that non-disabled people have about disabled people here yes biggest myth that disabled people face is the myth that they sexuality it's the water in the media in just ordinary life that we're no instant sex that we don't need sex education that we don't have babies that we don't have side effects it's a myth that's not true the evidence is that in britain and around the world people with disabilities have sex so bury the myth that they sexuality please i guess a smiling we were priceless catherine a mother of one. how do you how do you respond to what thomas saying let me just tell you something you know i really like what he's saying i remember when when i was pregnant you know i was once you know sort of like willing myself in the
5:33 pm
street and i saw these women looking at me with some really weird eyes and one of them whispered to the other who is that horrible man who did this to this woman and you know i looked at them and i was like oh i you talking about my you know my bomb you know and i was like nah actually for someone to have a baby you have sex and i mean sex is between a man and a woman but if you are having to conceive a baby and it was in the natural way and this just shows that actually when we talk about sexuality and attractiveness and beauty these are these are three different things because. you know when you can be attracted to people in a different way you don't get attracted to someone just because they're disabled or because they're just a size zero or because they're blonde or what i think is more that makes someone attractive and in my case i think for me to really go ahead and. f. find a man you know and out with a man.
