confidence on the former prime minister he has now achieved the people's mandate if you will but he faces huge challenges whether he can form the government and then whether he can tackle and navigate the very complicated issues that he's going to have to face thanks very much john the whole joining us here in the news. journal what's the price of a stable government where you are. well assuming pederast hunches does turn to the independents m.p.'s here and it looks like that would be the preference of his party certainly he would be talking to m.p.'s belonging to the republican left the e.r.c. that is the most moderate the more moderate of the two main probably depends parties here fifteen m.p.'s they've sent to madrid their leaders in the run up to this election to tone down their rhetoric on independence they appear to have realised that direct action hasn't worked it's been counterproductive in many ways they look now to a more proper pragmatic approach involving dialogue with madrid and better

governance here in catalonia to build a bigger support base for a future bid for independence and petro sanchez has himself already held out the possibility of dialogue has held out the possibility of greater autonomy to catalonia as a way of he's doing some going some way towards appeasing separatists so there are grounds for a tie up there but the other thing to consider is that the rise of vox on the far right and nationalist far right has pushed the whole debate on catalonia so much further to the right that it is almost inconceivable that any government would make meaningful concessions to the separatists here in the way of a referendum recognizing their right to self-determination or anything like that and both sides will know that so those demands the price that they may they may ask for their participation possibly not likely to be as high as many people think the third way is that they may agree simply to abstain in the confirmation vote those fifteen m.p.'s and agree not to vote against the government in the future that may be a more palatable arrangement for both sides but extraordinary really to see the picture

this morning looking like a future government in madrid led by the socialists with the involvement tacitly or directly of pro independence m.p.'s from catalonia but given this result journal does that sort of boil down into meaning a softer ride for those pro independence politicians who are now facing charges. well that's the big burning ongoing issue it it risks and flaming all over again the independence movement here there'll be a verdict in the next couple of months of course the independent spanish judiciary would not agree that this alters in any way the legal position but the more important aspect is what happens later when those verdicts come out if there are a guilty verdict it will at that point be potentially very important that there is a more sympathetic ear in government in madrid towards the pro independence parties and groups here in catalonia a way of talking them down of of stopping if you like or calming the possibility of exploding tensions again in catalonia journal thanks very much. a man who'd been

will you know will try to use this against turkey based on its already existing rivalry is true but if you're admitted this is not something that will serve this is this is not an incident that will really served two tours interests because it kind of limits the information that could be that it could be you know that the police could get from from these two guys and now there is only one guy in detention was sort of information for took it on. the on the actual in the had it with the structure or. there's intelligence what editions they had in turkey. so in that sense it does not you know it makes me it complicates things for turkish investigation tours but on the other end this is something that the u.a.e. .
