but there are some of the media stories a critical look at the global news media spread of us on al-jazeera government shut off access to social media. al jazeera. hello and welcome to this hour jazeera news hour with me martin dennis in doha our top story a passenger plane crashes in a remote mountainous corner of afghanistan also ahead rockets hit the u.s. embassy inside iraq's high security green zone. china's prime minister visits the epicenter of the corona virus outbreak that's now killed at least $81.00 people.

the horrors of the past overwhelm auschwitz survivors who have returned to the nazi concentration camp 75 years after it was liberated. coming up in sports stars from the basketball world and beyond remember kobe bryant after the n.b.a. star and his daughter die along with 7 others in a helicopter crash in california. but 1st afghan authorities are trying to find the wreckage of a plane that's crashed a mansion a strain which is partly controlled by the taliban now it's thought to have come down near the yak district in girls the province so far there's no information as to the number of casualties nor even your company or entity owns the plane but let's go live to our correspondent zain verjee in the afghan capital kabul zain so
4:02 pm
what more information of you managed to discover. well so far what we know for certain and i must say there's a great deal of information that is bouncing around on social media there are a great deal of a great number of unconfirmed reports but what we can tell you with certainty is that the spokesman for the governor of gaza the province a few hours ago nuri came out and said that this is not an afghan aircraft now the afghan military was sending security forces they scrambled security forces as quickly as they could and we do know that soldiers did arrive at the scene of the crash now we did hear earlier that this area is largely controlled by the taliban but we do know that the afghan security forces were on location and it appears that all passengers on board we still don't have a number but all passengers on board this passenger aircraft were deceased at the location only the pilots were recognizable and they did not appear to be afghan and
4:03 pm
so as such the local officials there in gaza the province confirming that it was not an afghan aircraft and appears to be an aircraft of some foreign agent now there's a number of still images a number of videos now and you have one trivia that we've seen here in the bureau in kabul that appears to show the crash site and appears to show a section of the wreckage of the tail section of the wreckage and that appears to have huge u.s. markings on it there's been a great number of unconfirmed reports on social media suggesting that this was an aircraft being operated by the americans here in afghanistan now it has to be said the americans do control the airspace over the country for all practical purposes we have reached out to u.s. forces here in kabul for comments but are waiting to hear back but again video that appears to be on social media user generated content from eyewitnesses at the crash site seeming to suggest that there are u.s. markings on the tail section of this wreckage all right now zain thank you very much indeed the get but tina scene is that you find out anything mall. the u.s.

embassy in baghdad the iraqi capital been hit by rockets the 1st direct strike after months of near misses 3 rockets landed inside the compound one struck close to a dining area during dinner time that the embassy is located inside the heavily fortified green zone in central baghdad the u.s. state department described the situation is tense and says its forces remain vigilant it's called on iraq to ensure diplomatic facilities are protected but meanwhile iraqi security forces have used tear gas to try to clear antigovernment protesters from their camp in the capital a crackdown began after the influential shia cleric. withdrew his support for the demonstrators then go live to our correspondent now is in the iraqi capital some of the 1st of all or some or so we're hearing now that there were at least 3 rockets is that right that managed to penetrate the u.s.
4:05 pm
embassy inside this heavily fortified green zone. yes martine late last night we did hear from our sources inside the fortified green zone confirming that 3 of the 5 rockets which landed in the green zone in fact landed inside the u.s. embassy compound and one of them penetrated the dining hall around dinner time this would mark the 1st direct hit on a building inside the u.s. embassy compound and it was dramatic events last night because although many of the employees here in baghdad off one of the largest u.s. diplomatic missions in the world have been on alert but they were not expecting that it will they will be facing a direct hit and we've been speaking to people who were in disbelief and shock there has been no indication of whether people have been injured in this attack but we heard from iraqi security forces saying that there were no casualties the u.s.
4:06 pm
embassy has been tight lipped about this and they haven't confirmed whether what happened last night but our security sources inside the coalition have confirmed that one of these rockets actually did hit the dining area so in the wake of the assassination of possum silliman you and generally the 3rd we've seen multiple volleys being fired at the green zone the last time rockets hit close to the u.s. embassy compound they were fired from a nearby area of that frontier nobody has claimed responsibility so far and many of the major groups as there was a tweet last night by iraq's former foreign minister saying that rogue elements within the popular mobilization forces might be behind this but we've heard from. saying they have nothing to do with the attack and militias in iraq are saying they're going to abide by the government's decision to force u.s. and other foreign troops out diplomatically and the backdrop to all of this of course is continuation of those protests that started months ago now i think it was
4:07 pm
in october they're just continuing their sustaining their protests the people of iraq. absolutely. in about 2 weeks time we've seen an escalation which kind of died down when the tensions were at their highest between the united states and iran but then they put these protesters who'd been camping out since october the 25th gave the iraqi government weeklong deadline and said they will come back and forth and that's what they did last monday and since then there has been counter protest by the most powerful iraqi cleric in the in the power circles look at that southerners who then they do support from protests and then the security forces moved in thinking that their numbers might have died down but the opposite has happened and not just in baghdad the biggest battles that we've seen are in southern cities of iraq the capital of the heart problems in nasiriyah there are still as we speak protestors heading towards surrounding the
4:08 pm
headquarters of the province for a 2nd consecutive day last night multiple mosque gunmen came over to those tents which have been there since october burnt them and today protesters out again in numbers trying to build the those tents with bricks and saying they will not back down they will not go home because more than 500 of their comrades have been killed and more than 25000 have been wounded and they will only go back home when their demands are met and some of the injured and live in the iraqi capital baghdad thank you. that china's prime minister is meeting the head of the world health organization to figure out a way to contain the spread of the corona virus these thoughts come after leak a child visited will hand that c epicenter of the outbreak as the death toll rises to $81.00 the government announces putting aside $9000000000.00 to fight the virus scott hurdler has more now from beijing. the streets in the capital beijing are almost empty and the most likely stay that way until next monday now that the lunar
4:09 pm
new year holiday has been extended to help curb the spread of the corona virus more countries and territories have increased restrictions on people from a province or even banned their entry in some cases as the chinese government continues with its plan on containing and treating those who have the virus market i have to keep wearing is a mask if i throw this away no mask then i'm asking the government to sell more masks. i found out that everything sold out to buy food and vegetables now i hope the situation can get better after the chinese new year holiday china's 2nd most powerful government official premier league has been put in charge of the coronavirus situation he traveled down the will heart and visited the construction site of a hospital that's been purpose built for the virus that we should build this hospital as soon as possible we set a date this february 2nd we're bringing all the medical resources from all over the
4:10 pm
country will bring thousands of medical staff to other hospitals in here he then spoke with medical workers on the front lines of the virus outbreak. throughout the day safe in save lives because what you're doing now is to save lives your nation is relying on you while the people of china might be relying on those medical workers the entire world watches as the number of dead and infected continues to rise it's got al-jazeera beijing. and leading religious in hong kong there warning that the outbreak is far worse than what the chinese authorities are saying adrian brown has more. we've been hearing the softer noone from gabrial long he's a leading epidemiologist he is the head and he's the dean of hong kong university's medical medical faculty and he basically says based on commuter computer modeling that they've been using as other experts are around the world right now he
4:11 pm
estimates that in fact 44000 people have been infected by this virus in who hand and he also says that the rate of infection will double every 6 to 7 days so again this is based on computer modeling it doesn't mean it's necessarily going to happen but he said it is their forecast as sort of worst case scenario you might say so these are alarming words coming from hong kong and they appear to in a sense contradict what the world health organization has been saying because the world health organization so far hasn't felt compelled to declare an international public health alert the experts in hong kong are saying that draconian measures will be needed not just by hong kong's government and china's government but by other governments around the world in the case of hong kong for instance you know hong kong has a think about things like food imports it everything it eats just about is imported much of it coming from the mainland so his message was you know unless there is
4:12 pm
good planning unless we heed the warnings then you know we could be facing a global pandemic epidemic and in his words. the new research suggests that china is now the world's 2nd biggest producer of weapons the so-called international peace research institute sipri looked into 4 companies and found a clear shift from a decade ago when china relied on made elsewhere let's hear bryan reports. china's military might on show at a parade last year with some weight been seen for the 1st time in october analysts said china's technological advances were almost unprecedented and new research is revealing just how many of these weapons are being produced by beijing and a dramatic shift from a decade ago when it had to buy most of its munitions i think it's very important information for us and the world because we know that of course china used to rely
4:13 pm
on imports and weapons from russia but we see now that it can almost completely. produce its weapons for its own military and we also see that the industry is at a point where other countries are demanding its weapons. international peace research institute says china is now the 2nd biggest arms manufacturer in the world behind the u.s. and with russia and 3rd place there have been a number of shifts in military policy within china 1st off they reduced over that period 600000 troops but they put more money into modern rising the army the 2 aircraft carriers are in production one they had bought those are big ticket items . the size of china's industry has been largely a mystery with beijing keeping reliable data secret but the institute has now been able to look into 4 major chinese companies and says 3 of them would be in the top
4:14 pm
10 global produces remember all those trying to may be rising in the ranks of manufacturers in terms of arms exports it's a very very small amount compared to the u.s. russia and e.u. beijing's production prowess is in demand it's estimated to be selling billions of dollars worth of munitions every year largely to pakistan bangladesh and man a lot of the years of chinese weapons are very much more friendly towards the chinese government is also a case that they cannot certainly attain weapons from western producer such as the u.k. or germany or the us as such rely on china to produce or to provide. less sophisticated and sometimes less expensive weapons to be used for their specific purposes in $2181.00 trillion dollars was spent on weapons across the globe the

highest since the end of the cold war with the research pointing to increased spending from washington and beijing and excedrin al jazeera. we've got a lot more to come here on the al-jazeera news hour including donald trump lashes out. former advisor john both movies about the undermined his main defense of the senate impeachment trial. as protests is find with police outside lebanon's parliament approves a new budget hoping it will help repair the country's finances and in sports basketball fans in the philippines remember kobe bryant has died in a have a car crash. lebanon's parliament has passed its 2020 budget as it tries to lift the country out
4:16 pm
of a deepening economic crisis protesters had tried to block politicians from getting into the parliament to vote many rejected the budget is being discussed and amended by the previous administration riot police were deployed some demonstrators the physically removed from the parliament precincts let's go live to our correspondent sara cairo outside parliament i believe so many of those protesting are complaining about the fact that this is a project that was actually passed by the former regime by the formal surratt is. that correct morsi now they've just passed this budget to 2020 but it's much too late because this was approved by the previous government they had decided on and they made changes to it in december and then of course the protests happened which delayed this budget getting through now a total of $49.00 m.p.'s an ounce of $76.00 that were attending voted to pass this
4:17 pm
budget of course is $120.00 mph in total now the reason why there's a gap in those that tended and those that didn't was because some of them decided not to based it is unconstitutional to push this budget through the reason why they've been saying it's unconstitutional depending on ots call an article which stipulates that the new cabinet must receive a vote of confidence passed by the parliament before they can make decisions on big things such as the budget now this was the fastest time in lebanese politics for a budget has been passed this quickly of course because of years of civil wars well there's 10 years they didn't even have a budget that was ever approved now protesters are not happy and the reason why they say they're not happy is they said that the economic crisis is getting worse and pushing through this budget is not actually addressing the major problems that are happening within the lebanese economy and the reasons as to why they even protesting in the 1st place all right with the very latest from beirut thank you.

now almost $200.00 holocaust survivors are at a ceremony and the auschwitz birkenau camp in poland 75 years after it was liberated there laying wreaths at the execution warn of what was nazi germany is biggest death site more than a 1000000 people most of them jews were killed there between 194945 correspondent jonah hall is there at the ceremony and i can imagine that the atmosphere of bleakness is is that as greatly as as well as as apparent as it was 75 years ago. yes certainly very solemn marty in the events taking place here today it's a culmination of anniversary memorial events that are taking place elsewhere over the last few days notably of course jerusalem at the world holocaust remembrance remembrance center at yad vashem but these events taking place of course on the

a living connection to those events that took place here some of the most extraordinary horrors of the holocaust 75 years ago and in the presence of those living witnesses you realize that it really wasn't that long ago there are a reminder of the horrors they implore the world to ensure that nothing like this can ever happen again and as often as they can these people when they speak they offer the hope that the world will never forget. jonah hall live of the out troops camping in poland. u.s. president donald transfer of caring for back to back meetings with israel's political rivals prime minister benjamin netanyahu and the opposition leader benny gantz they're both in washington and their visits come ahead of the unveiling of the american administration so-called deal of the century which is already being rejected by the palestinians there both messenia who and gals will face voters again in march for israel's 30 election in less than a year and president trump's impeachment trial resumes in just
4:22 pm
a few hours from now so let's go live to our white house correspondent kimberly halkett his there in washington d.c. there are those who are suggesting that this promise to unveil the so-called deal of the century. middle east peace plan at this particular moment is a destructive destruction device to move attention in the conversation away from those impeachment proceedings. well you know there is that accusation not only against president trump that he may be trying to manipulate the headlines to try and show that he is working on something of significance and great importance even as the u.s. senate is debating whether or not to remove him from office there's no question about that but there's also that accusation with regard to the israeli leader benjamin netanyahu as well given the fact that this is the 1st time he has visited the white house in advance of israeli elections we know we have those coming up in early march and so there seems to be that concern perhaps for both leaders whether
4:23 pm
or not they're doing this in an effort to try and manipulate the outcome for their domestic agendas now when it comes to that mideast plan there is a lot of skepticism about it for the point that you mention martine the fact that the palestinians have been literally shut out of the process many are saying that this is going to be dead on arrival further the policies of this administration the trumpet ministration have been so decidedly one sided in favor of the israelis that there is equally more slick ideas isn't that this is going to work now the white house tends to say that this is going to be sort of bold and revolutionary but not many in washington are feeling that way but i was going to say they can believe i mean it will surprise the state news was me who decided that they were having nothing to do with this administration when the u.s. decided to move its embassy to jerusalem so be there's no doubt in washington
4:24 pm
around. who say that is the palestinians who are shutting themselves out rather than engaging on this so-called deal of the century. and you're spot on in terms of the defense by the white house the white house keeps saying on the one hand well we're inviting them we went there and they turned down our meetings but at the same time many would argue that's a very disingenuous defense given the fact that as you point out the policies have been so one sided in favor of the israelis the moving of the u.s. embassy to jerusalem there is the list goes on and on it's been very clear from day one the traffic ministration is the ins is in one cab versus the others and this is just another example that we may see highlighted today with the fact that benjamin netanyahu has been friends of the family of jared questioner one of the architects of this plan since he was an infant it leaves sort of open the question about just
4:25 pm
how objective the top administration is being given these deep rooted ties and the fact that there has been no engagement towards the palestinians who feel that they didn't have a chance from day one all right we'll get back to you later kimberly thank you now both people fans around the world are mourning the loss of the superstar m.b.a. player kobe bryant has been killed in a helicopter crash in california his teenage daughter and 7 others on board also died rubber nose reports now from calabasas that's just so out of los angeles. kobe bryant's helicopter crashed in disintegrated on this hillside calabasas outside los angeles with this is said there was heavy fog and poor visibility in the area at the time of the accident. resident paula dolan heard multiple explosions before the helicopter went down wired one banged one and was in the air
4:26 pm
and the last 2nd their 2nd bang as it was just sunday and then i heard a huge crash on board with a 41 year old retired superstar and his 13 year old daughter giana as well as 7 others including the pilot police have not released their names there was a white speculation as to their dinner these are however it is being entirely inappropriate right now to identify anyone by name until the coroner has made the identification through their very deliberative process and they've been made of cations and next of kin. the cause of the crash is unknown the helicopter as a course key $76.00 b. has a robust safety record federal crash investigators will search the wreckage and more our team will be looking at the history of the pilots and whatever crew was on board will be looking at maintenance records of the helicopter
4:27 pm
bryant's prowess thrilled fans in l.a. and beyond for 2 decades. a crowd has gathered here below the crash site many people are wearing lakers colors purple and gold some people say it's as if a piece of their lives have been ripped apart even more than you can imagine and you can put in words just the passion and the grit in the sweat in but at least giving to lausanne just for the basketball family is i can say of young words see them with an eye at all everyone loved l.a. is very sad right now he is just human he was not great player as a reason why i got into baskets of him that i haven't changed and it's still like unbelievable for me to say that kobe bryant is not here with us anymore it's just tragedy it's just it i'm no words honestly. president donald trump tweeted bryant was one of the truly great basketball players of all time the loss of his beautiful

daughter giana makes this moment even more devastating president barack obama an avid basketball fan said koby was a legend on the court and was just getting started in what would have been just as meaningful a 2nd act amid an outpouring of sorrow from players from across the spectrum of sports players from the euston rockets and the denver nuggets held a moment of silence before their game on sunday players looked down shaking their heads he leaves behind a sport that is grieving a city in mourning and a legacy of greatness that will be remembered as long as basketball is played robert oulds al-jazeera calabasas california. paul reeses here now with the sports news in kobe bryant seemed to be somebody you really trans then did a basketball didn't he yes martin kobe he really very well known beyond the world

of basketball much as michael jordan was before him and le bron james is now his exploits on the court putting him among the greats of global sports. rights skills work ethic and habits of game winning moments helped to put basketball where it is today known as the black mamba bryant is considered to be one of the greatest players of all time spent all 20 years of his career at the l.a. lakers where he wants 5 championships and was an 18 time n.b.a. all star right also i want to elin pick gold medals with team usa. for a lot of players competing in the n.b.a. today bryant is there michael jordan he's the player they aspired to be when they were growing up all over the lead on sunday night players let the 24 2nd shot clock run out in the opening plays as

4:32 pm
the gymnastics star simone biles post a picture of bryant alongside her in the u.s. team with a simple message rest in peace koby well those are just some of the hundreds of thousands of messages paying tribute to bryant and his daughter giana who shared his passion for basketball seen here with her dad a few years ago we'll have more reaction throughout the day here on al-jazeera pleading our sports bulletin later this hour. for thank you very much indeed now donald trump has been criticizing his former national security adviser who appears to have under cart the u.s. president's impeachment defense that he reportedly wrote that trump told him to tie a ukrainian military aide to an investigation into a political rival that priyanka got to now reports this allegation is at the center of efforts to remove trump from office. is highly respected by everybody in this room and john i want to thank you very much as john bolton wants donald trump's
4:33 pm
national security adviser now a potential witness who could expose the u.s. president a new york times to pore details excerpts from a draft of bolton's upcoming book the report says the book reveals how trump wanted to hold back nearly $400000000.00 in military assistance to ukraine until its officials aided investigations into his democratic rival former vice president joe biden his son and other democrats for the democrats these revelations from a former white house insider seemed to directly contradict tom's defense in the senate impeachment trial and have both stood they demands to call bolton as a witness in the house speaker nancy pelosi saying excluding him is now indefensible and calling it a choice between the constitution or a cover up until now the democrats have been struggling against a republican majority senate to seek testimonies if they were really interested in
4:34 pm
the american people knowing all the facts they wouldn't be fighting to make sure that this is the 1st trial in history without witnesses. i can promise you this mick mulvaney knows a lot more about this than any whistleblower and john bolton knows more about this than the whistleblower trump has denied bolton's claims saying he never told him that the 8 to ukraine was tied to investigations into democrats including the bidens and that of bolton said this it was only to sell a book. trump has issued a blanket order barring his aides from corporate inc in the investigation particularly bolton i would rather interview bolton. i would rather interview a lot of people the problem with john is that it's a national security problem but analysts believe that's just an excuse so many presidents have used the national security card to actually hide the truth which
4:35 pm
was not a national security issue in this case on the usenet is not a national security issue if it's what bolton saying is true it is to be exposed so we can actually clean up our democracy and abide by the rule of law that will not be easy democrats need at least 4 republicans to vote with them to have witnesses included in the trial and in a deeply divided washington it's unclear if republicans will rise above partisan interests and be swayed by these new revelations priyanka gupta al-jazeera. robert gates he is a political analyst and he's joining us from. in the u.k. and robert does the appearance of a draft manuscript from john bolton does it alter the prospect of him actually giving testimony to the senate. well what's really fascinating about what we're seeing here in this trial is that people apparently don't need to
4:36 pm
come in as witnesses or sit in a box for their testimony to be heard or their evidence to be given the democrats have wanted witnesses and evidence that could still happen if republicans can be swayed but through social media this book that's been in the draft had been released on captured audio donald trump talking about the removal of an ambassador to ukraine all of these things are making their way into the trial through arguments and through through discussions through documents that pages are bringing to senators and social media is not allowed to be in the senate chamber right now so what's what's fascinating is that all of this information is coming through in people aren't even being held as witnesses just yet and the crucial question of course is whether any of it whether. this is in tested me is allowed in the senate the question is whether it is enough to persuade some of the republican side that
4:37 pm
is to cross the aisle which many people think is virtually impossible. well you know people like john bolton are interesting characters and his relationship with donald trump is always up and down but he does have the respect of republicans he did have an important role to play in the trump presidency in its earlier years and so what's what's going to happen here is if there are people who are coming forward who have the respect of republicans that could sway them to say well i do want to hear from this person officially but at the end of the day this is about whether the republicans want to hear truth or testimony or if they want to have trump when the 2020 presidential election and if evidence is brought forward that puts his presidency on line for a 2nd term republicans more than likely are going to block any attempt to hear that
4:38 pm
as official testimony and allow it to just remain outside the senate chamber on social media book drafts i'm desperate remind us all of what potentially is the significance of a testimony in front of the senate given that he is the most senior member of the full member of the white house who could possibly testify what exactly what specifically could be to the debate. well he would be the 1st person to sit behind. a pedestal stand behind a pedestal on the senate floor as an inner circle member of the presidency speaking about what hear heard specifically from donald trump's mouth we haven't had that a lot of the testimony that people have wanted or a lot of the ideas the rumors going around have been secondhand this would be one of the 1st times that we could hear specifically from an insider who spent time in
4:39 pm
the oval office who spent time in war rooms who who knows donald trump actually telling us what came from donald trump's mouth this is not a national security issue as as earlier reported. john bolton would be kind of it would be hard for him not to speak up on this particular issue in that said if he could come in front and if he would come in front of the senate these would be from the lips of donald trump. would be something that would be a huge advantage for understanding what might have happened in this relationship with ukraine we have a gucci talking to a sign from a legacy universe seen u.k. thank you for that. all right it's time for us to take a look at the weather his jenny jenny looks like you're going to australia 1st yeah you know i mean really just different weather conditions let me start by showing you this satellite because we've got a real divide to the north we have got can you believe this flood warnings in place
4:40 pm
across the northern territory and across into queensland i mean well into the south we have got those fire warnings still in place particular across into the south wales that have a look at this that it doesn't look spectacular because it isn't really but it is if you here this is the pale river and this creek has run dry for over one year and just 3 days ago the water began to come through now there are a few more scattered showers in the forecast that really nothing more than that there's the rain to the north are coming to that in just a moment but these are current weather conditions across into the southeast so it is still very warm in fact from the temperatures have actually gone the latest updates not come through but it is still around 30 celsius in cambrai will some showers still in the 4 calls and as we go through tuesday woman very very scattered to the eastern portion of new south wales is the heat this is the main story of the next few days because it's been very wholesome wessels straight path in particular and look at this is all shifting east would say by the time we get to thursday into melbourne into adelaide a big apartment got 42 degrees celsius then it does cool down quite dramatically but is a day later it pushes on into melbourne that is when the heat is in place that to
4:41 pm

at the beginning of the day session just to confirm his name what followed after that it was a couple of hours of legal argument basically from the defense team and the prosecution most of which i can't talk about because of reporting restrictions designed to stop the unfair prejudicing of a trial until a jury is selected there is a lot of stuff you just can't say but what it boils down to essentially is whether this trial is ready or not to proceed on. if and when it does hashem a baby is before this court to answer 22 counts of murder against him also one counts of attempted murder which covers all of the 260 people who were injured in the manchester arena attack and then the charge of whether he was guilty of conspiring with his brother to set off

a bid to consolidate the party's victory across the country spreading his presence far and wide on social media platforms in spite of it all it didn't quite happen this time while the league may not have gained a victory here in a 1000000 romagna however the fact that they are the 2nd largest party here really comes down to the fact that they have made enormous gain here in this region which is part of italy's redbelt. supporters of the incumbent regional president is that what i thought she may be relieved at the outcome he himself acknowledged the support led to him by the liberal anti populous flashmob group known as the sardines 3 of a league party when pushed many of them to pack the squares here and across the country nevertheless it is a shock to the system that so many in this left wing bastion voted for the far right league. salvini can celebrate

a recycling plant but often these big plants are a long way from where the plastic was disposed of sometimes in other countries but at the start of 28 c. china banned most of its importation of plastic waste and that's forced to rethink . in australia engineers have developed a potential solution a micro recycling factory but what we're actually showing here is that the micro scale you can set up these decentralized facilities where it's not one big mega because they were transporting a lot of waste your actual take that factory on site on the occasion and safely convert that into a high value product all the machinery fits into a single room mixed plastic waste like this that used to be parts of a computer printer it's crushed and fed into a machine. on the high temperature and pressure the mixed plastics turned into a single long filament that can be used in 3 d.

printing to create nearly any product the scientists say there's 0 waste and no need to transport this machinery is within a university but the idea is this whole micro recycling factory is small enough to be put inside any business that has ways to recycle or any business that wants to manufacture products from recycled materials. this technology is in its infancy and has not yet been tested in a commercial setting but that should happen soon those behind the technology also think it can be moved around your mobile unit could actually be travelling on the back of a truck and going across to very small towns now imagine these communities could suddenly start recycling and be forming materials you can imagine a future where every town actually has a micro factory that's taking milk at the available end of life products and
