i think our side believes that biden will have to 70 declared for him by the end of today and that the election will be functionally over it may take a few days for that for the president to decide how to manage all this but i don't think they're going to mount a major legal challenge and i think we're getting close to this being decided for job ok you don't think they're going to mount a legal challenge but donald trump has plans to go to the supreme court and we just heard from donald trump's election manager campaign manager talking about you know if we count all legal balance we when the president wins talking also about illegally cost of i mean things could get quite nasty couldn't they. they could i mean our politics has been very nasty for years and so that wouldn't be anything new but i think the they don't really have a legal basis for anything that they want to do they've tried all sorts of legal shenanigans in pennsylvania for example they've filed the trump campaign has filed

6 different lawsuits to try to change the voting rules and they've lost all 6 of those legal challenges there isn't really any basis for stopping the counting of votes in our law the federal government allows federal law allows 5 weeks for states to determine the outcome the winner of their election and in all in 20 of the states there it's required that ballots are counted after that or arrive after election day are counted so there's no real justification for any of this i know that they think there may be but every time they've tried to prosecute this they've failed and their arguments that they're going to win nevada for example when all the ballots are cast the independent analysts who looked at the bouts that are outstanding in nevada michigan and wisconsin and even pennsylvania have all said that they think that that biden won the winning those states and so you know we still have to let everything get counted there's we're not going to know about it

until tomorrow right but what i think we're going to know michigan and wisconsin this evening and at that point it's really looks like it's getting close to being over if we do the. at the senate there is for the senate it looks like the democrats have failed to take control like they wanted to slipping 2 seats looks to me at last count i mean how the democrats going to view these congressional races. so where things stand today is that democrats are likely to win the presidency we retain control of the house and the senate is still up for grabs i mean we still have to let maine in north carolina finish voting and then if in georgia if we have to run off the democrats win both of those run offs then they will control the senate so there is still a possibility the democrats can control the senate it's not necessarily likely but it's still possible and given this election i think we've all realized in american
