protests yet in yangon on saturday but we do know that riot police have been deployed now according to a civil youth civil rights group. nearly $150.00 people have been arrested since the start of the coup and local media also reporting that at least 30 people have been arrested in relation to the noise protests so the military is clearly cracking down they want to stop these protests and they are arresting people now and this is a country where people have a history of rising up against military rule that happened in 1988 that was led by students and again in 2007 led by monks these 2 protests were very brutally and violently put down by the military so people here are aware they and they they have 1st hand knowledge some of them and so there's obviously fear and awareness of what the military is capable of but at the moment people are still very angry and they want to make their voices heard so we're seeing this 1st large protest taking part

now and what they've done also is they've gone one step further because the ban on social media platforms can be circumvented by using virtual private networks or internet but in a monitoring group net's blocks internet observatory says myanmar is now in the midst of a national scale internet blackout with connectivity levels reportedly falling to 54 percent of ordinary levels now this is going to make communication even harder mobile data internet that's being temporarily restricted so it means that people will not only be able to organize protests all the more difficult but there's also going to be difficult it's also going to be difficult to access independent news. series florence are reporting live from kuala lumpur florence many thanks indeed. india ramping up their protests against agricultural reforms 5 blocking roads across the country months long demonstrations outside new delhi have been mostly peaceful but violence in january when thousands of farmers breached barricades around the capital now they say the government is using repressive measures to

chief prosecutor's efforts to investigate suspected war crimes by israel and potentially by palestinian armed groups this includes the gaza strip the occupied west bank and east jerusalem where in 2019 the i.c.c. chief prosecutor fatou bensouda said that she believed the war crimes have been or all being committed and she asked the court to determine if she had jurisdiction for an investigation prompting the ruling the palestinians who joined the i.c.c. in 2015 have been asking the court to look into israeli military action in the gaza strip in 2014 they also want the court to investigate israel's construction of illegal settlements in the occupied west bank and east jerusalem biden as administration says that it objects to the i.c.c. decision while the israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu is accusing the international criminal court of anti semitism the i.c.c. investigators will fake war crimes this is pure anti semitic. the court
