his forthrightness could come across as rudeness phillip had a reputation for embarrassing politically incorrect remarks whether he was being rude about the chinese or indians or swearing at photographers who kept him waiting too long often a sideshow to formal occasions yet even though an air of racism hung over him the story royalist u.k. media generally forgave him he was certainly given a much easier ride than politicians politicians who tend to make a racist or an offensive remark in this day and age tend to have to apologize a couple of days later because so much pressure on them but i never know prince philip to apologize for mark and i remember once he wanted over after i said to an aboriginal leader to still throw space at each other and i saw him do this in australia in 2002 and the next day he came over it made front pages all over the world and he just wanted to. know since if you were the complete absence if you so he was going to come. joyce his retirement from public duties came in 2017 with

initiating the c.t.m. and risking their own life to save many at the front line will be forever remembered in the early days of the protests all hope the un or international community will intervene decisively although some expectations are unrealistic we also observe that some international actors are not fulfilling their moral duty and mandate under international law. disappointed and offended by the actions of some states that persistently block the it calls for a decisive international intervention such interference damages relations in a way that could be irreversible people feel that they are left alone to freeze the brutal regime armed to its feet start from by the same international actors who preventing action the realisation that they are on the air all makes people more determined about what future they want and how they must buy it people are

representatives of the people is vital the military regime is not constitutional or otherwise legal countries and organizations should not preempt the situation by recognizing its defacto authority when the coup is not a fait accompli but in the midst of all this horror the transformative nature of the resistance against the military has to be acknowledged and applauded i mean you generation of political action has emerged that's transcended all divisions and old prejudices and gives great hope for a future myanmar that embraces and is a peace with its diversity the actions of the regime just morally reprehensible they're also extremely dangerous not only has the military been unable to consolidate its attempts its crude and effectively govern the country but

also its actions may be creating a situation where the country becomes ungovernable that should be of great concern to the region and to the broader international community. the precise call into laws of state a hard to predict is depending not only on what goes wrong but also in what order but the trajectory is alarming 1st the banking system is not a virtual standstill and has been for 2 months now that means business has come make and receive payments individuals conned access that cash and payrolls and being process the regime has been threatening private banks to get them to reopen branches but many stops on willing to go to work. and with the military perpetrating random violence on the streets all those are afraid to do so just last week a local employee of

have observed cease fires the years of being drawn into renewed conflict with the army as they try to protect civilian populations from bottoms of sanctuary to protest leaders and resist me aggression others are expanding the areas of control oppressing territorial claims against rival groups taking advantage of a security vacuum while the military tries to assert its control over the main cities and last me it needs to be acknowledged that much of myanmar's natural wealth is in the hands of unregulated activists over recent years the civilian government has had little success in asserting control over them if the center implodes as a result of the army's misguided and heavy handed response to the protests criminal economic forces could be unleashed that would be impossible to contain.

collectively these crises will trigger a large population displacement as people go on the move because they've lost their livelihoods or a facing hunger or are escaping bonnets in the cities or conflict in ethnic areas it's already happening several 100000 migrant workers have gone in recent weeks he said joblessness and insecurity thousands of the jitters and corrent stables have been displace some across the board excitement following air raids on territory controlled by the qur'an national union the group. over the decades has faced many different challenges including ongoing on conflicts banking and economic crises refugee crises and see military protest movements and the brutal expulsion of the rangar in 20162007 so these have come a great cost to human rights livelihoods and the economy but throughout successive

the regime currently appears determined trying to consolidate its grip on the country whatever the cause it's shown no inclination towards dialogue or compromise but this must be continuously tested unequivocal council backing of the un special envoy remains important as does the role of as the un and other regional axis acts as who have access to the regime the council's unity to date has been welcomed and important these channels can be used to express clear opposition to the coup condemn the subsequent state olens and warned the military that the trajectory they are on the risks catastrophic state prompts these channels can also help outside actors to identify and a series any future openings for diplomacy and mediation and 2nd some council members have voiced opposition to coercive measures but it's hard

to see a viable alternative that can have any impact because in particular there is every justification for the council to impose an arms embargo on them. in the absence of a un embargo like minded countries could agree to a coordinated list of prohibited items not only arms but also technology as the surveillance and regression and share information on that efforts to block trends on a voluntary basis this would create a framework for other states to coordinate restrictions on the on the. like minded countries should also continue to coordinate the imposition of targeted economic sanctions none of these are likely to have as much impact as either the rich regimes own policy failures all the deliberate actions of the civil disobedience movement but they have an important state.
