story, the saudi elections in germany. our last one is a political analyst in berlin, and he tells us what he expects will happen over the coming few days for the time being for it looks like the s, the deed is getting the 1st shot and the federal president, following german tradition. so give, will give the coalition building mandate to the s d if they succeed and build a coalition with the, with the greens and the f t p. that's the new government. if they, if they will not succeed, then most likely the federal president might give the mandate to the cd. you who rank 2nd at the moment and then they have the shot to get a coalition done with the very same junior partners. this is a very, very fear is the feed for the c d u. so they have been, they used to during the 16 years of uncle america to ring in the 30 percent. and the party already the moment actually they had to nominated new chairman. the 2nd

after the former succeed or of angle america, i think it had come come about where i had given up and it was a very, very exhausting procedure. i mean, lush was the winner of that internal fight, but he was a very weak candidate. and still he claim for being the front runner for the see to you. and again, he had been defeated. and so therefore there's a lot of food for thought, a debate within the party to decide who's taking the leadership in the coming weeks . the 1st decision will be made on monday, when the leadership comes together and needs to decide who will lead the parliamentary group in the, in the bonus tag. this will be the 1st indicator for us to see if i'm in luck. it will be at any important position left in the city. you are not now a 2nd hearing and the trial of 14 palestinian authority, security officers accused of being an activist to death has been adjourned. and

ramallah, his bonnet was an outspoken critic of the p. a and its presidents and he died back in june hours after being arrested. his death led to public outrage and protests across the occupied west bank. i found the spokesmen has called for an independent inquiry while delegates the u. k. labor parties, annual conference of post motion, calling for the party to back sanctions against israel for its illegal actions on the international law. the motion which passed $2.00 to $1.00 was raised by the youth swing. it alleges that israel has committed the un recognised crime of the parties. well, that's not bring in oma feed. he is the general secretary of the arab labor group and he joins us now from london. i believe you were involved in the drafting of this motion. can you talk us through the significance of it? i see it isn't a binding motion, so it's more of a symbolic statement. yeah, thank you so much. so this is i city, candidate for panasonic, property spine,
9:35 pm
and bro, human life and justice in the war. so this motion, if you did the motion and then anguish roy can in this is and this motion is silicone motion. so the group called before this motion was the young glare, but then it was supported by 12 trade union, then palestine. the campaign have. okay. and in writing it and the level to group as well. so. so many groups, people who are from many different different backgrounds. they, you like him to say to israel. everything has to stop. so the british government have to stop sending. so israel, the neighbor party, have to speak the things that a members are saying, which is to stop sending on. so it's very to start sanction, to support the international crime court and it's investigation and punish time. so we have so many members who are supporting discipline this motion such as circle
9:36 pm
day. so it's very, it has to know that killing the palestinian, the down going neck, taking the seen him in jerusalem and taking most of the bank, putting gaza, sees this will not make the political parties in the world like sign up. they were speaking and it will be these parties wouldn't be one of the, in the power and they would use these motions will be addressed when they are in government. and you say that this is broadly supported by the policy, but this isn't supported by the leadership of the labor party and certainly not by the leader of the labor party. do you think this is a demonstration of divisions within the labor party that have pops emerged since jeremy called and left. so this is democracy. this is why we have the labor party conference to show what the members wants. so most of the members who attended this
9:37 pm
conference have voted and support of this motion. this means these people are supporting this motion. and if the leadership of the liberal party doesn't want to listen to what the members are saying, this will affect the they're like, you know, percentage of winning the next general election. so they have to reflect what the labor party members are saying. if they don't do this, it will be very difficult for the liberal party to be back in the power. i see in the debate that took place about the motion. it was criticized and i court here to being to shall see to angry and to one sided. and it's been suggested that rhetoric like that hinders rather than help for the peace process. what would you say to those comments? yes. so the, these process has been there before i was born since 1960 seventy's and eighty's. and what we see that a lot of the peace process is right. you continue taking the palestinian lab,
9:38 pm
then there's right in the settlements. they take the palestinian lab and coach in the u. k. and europe in america, in china, and everywhere. so this will not stop the p s because the piece will start when that's reading. is it that amount? stop trading in the word, then they will stop building new system and they will not, they will not have any market for this. the 2nd thing, this is not just happening in the labor party. and people are saying this is for some people and the labor part they just lost or 2 weeks ago. we have seen the lived in the biggest part in the british parliament. they have another motion going for a stop trading with the legal superman and putting sanctions on israel. so what i'm saying, what we have seen in the last 70 years. now we are seeing most of this because people will not continue being sign up. we not written have a big group in creating israel, and is there a certain sort of britain is sending arms to the is there a, you know, army,
9:39 pm
but one day the government of the u. k. will listen to the even the u. k. as they will change policies, i am on the have the general secretary of the arab lave agreement. thanks so much for joining us and sharing your views with us on out there. i'm on. thank you. now jailed bell russian opposition activists to maria less than the river has the one europe's top human rights award. does that he 9 year olds, activist was sentenced to 11 years in prison earlier this month over her role. and last year, mass demonstrations against president alexander lucas shanker. your parliamentary, somebody said less than curve as only crime was wanting to have a say. and who's in charge of her country. or serbia has sent troops and tanks to it's porter with kosovo as around. there are a license plates, escalades, ethnic subs living and northern coast have been protesting by blocking roads after cost of our band, the entry of cars with serbian license plates. savvy as president says,

he considers that decision by cost of a criminal action. he's demanding the cost of remove all of the special police forces before negotiating to resolve the dispute. now the social networking giant instagram is putting a kids version of it's very popular up on hold. and surround was owned by facebook and us politicians. and campaigners have been urging the company to drop its plans for instagram kids, critics, a facebook and instagram. the primary focus is on physical appearance and that these platforms haven't done enough to protect children. when i speak to josh girl and he is the executive director of fair play for kids, he joins us now from watertown and massachusetts. just let's don't hear with what's actually driving this process. i understand the instagram kids would have know as if so what's actually to be gained from what's in it for instagram? yeah, well i think what's in it for instagram is instagram has been really challenged in the last couple of years by tick tock and is losing some market share to among
9:41 pm
youth. and so it's not that facebook is going to instagram is going to monetize these kids while they're on this instagram, you pop 5 form, but it's about a forming attachments to them. so then when they become 13, they can start making money off of them. so this is really about competition. what's at the top? well, the pause is ostensibly to consult with people and trying to find more protections for kids. is there actually any way to make a platform like this? that's so focused on physical appearance and aesthetics, say for kids at such a vulnerable age. no, there's absolutely no reason. and we hope that facebook will use this pause to actually consult with the one hundreds of experts who signed our letter to facebook, urging them to drop this instagram youth. who think it's a bad idea. there's no, there's no tweaks that you can make to this platform. this is a platform where kids upload pictures of themselves often pictures that have been altered in order to get their friends and other people to rate what they look like
9:42 pm
in those pictures. this is a platform that runs on fomo on fear of missing out that, that where people cultivate their best lives. and that leads to people feeling bad about themselves when they see these curated lives online. there is no way to make that safe for 8 year olds or 9 year olds are appropriate for them. so really the safest instagram for children is no instagram for all at all. while you say that the instagram and facebook are arguing that a specific kid's platform would potentially give parents more control and oversight and also into a more age appropriate content. and i know as you say, children below that tina bod, from the main instagram. but we do know that plenty of them are on it regardless. so is this just going to drive more kids to the adult version? no, i don't think so. i think that there are already millions of kids on the adult version of, of instagram who have lied their way onto the platform who are not 13 and shouldn't be there. and what facebook needs to be doing is doing a much better job of closing those children's accounts and of educating parents
9:43 pm
that instagram is really not a platform for under 13. and that they don't want those kids there. what we know from child development is that those kids who are already lying their way onto instagram, those 1011 and 12 year olds, they're not going to want to be on a platform that they consider to be baby, a child's version of instagram. but real audience for this is going to be kids who don't yet have their, their own instagram accounts. so i don't buy that. this is about safety for 11 and 12 year old. i think it's the gram is really concerned about those 11 and 12 year old. they should be doing a heck of a lot more to keep them off than the adult version of instagram. and, and as i said, i believe creating a kid's words and events. graham is only going to create and book a whole new generation of users and won't do anything to keep the kids who are already on instagram safer. josh mentioned that tech talk has a version of their app for kids under 30 and i see you jubal so how's the same hows that worked out for them? well, i think the tip top,
9:44 pm
the tip top ad for kids under 13 hasn't really worked out because it's kicked off. doesn't really want kids to use it because they want it to be on the the main, the main tick, tock, platform. so tick tock hasn't really invested in that platform to make it interesting. it all the kids and one of the things that's really concerning about the tick tock platform is you can sign up for a kid's account. and it's, it will probably be a pretty satisfying experience because tick tock hasn't, hasn't really invested in that. and that platform, and then you can close that account and from the very same device, enter a new birth date and get on the, the main tech that. so i don't think tick tock, it solve the problem at all in terms of youtube. youtube kids i think is a little different because you took kids is not a social media platform. it's a video watching platform. and there have been a number of issues with youtube kids and the content that they're showing on you to kids. but again, it's not a social media platform, so it's a lot less complicated and it's a lot less fraud. just let me ask you. then as we've been saying, this is obviously just a pool, as there is a push to abolish the plan entirely,
9:45 pm
which you are a part of how realistic is that? i think they're going to cancel it all together. i think that there announcing a boss and then when they, they, the pressure doesn't go away and they hear directly both from members of congress as well as all the experts and advocates who are absolutely adamant that they don't reach the product. i believe that they will back off. i think, you know, i have some faith. i know that facebook doesn't usually do the right thing, but i think the pressure here is too great. and the revelations in last week's wall street journal reports that facebook buried its own research. ive been incredibly damaging. i think the only way out of this for facebook is to not release the product at all. josh, go to the executive director of fair play for kids. thanks so much for sharing your thoughts with us when i was there. josh, thanks for joining us. thanks for having me. now the people on the eastern coast of the panama had been ordered to stay in doors as larva from interrupting

9:48 pm
of voice is not loud like death. bar owners call the laws draconian in which alcohol sales are limited to set hours during the day. heavy taxes on imports and unequal laws only allowing large companies to brew beer and still alcohol. a ban on alcohol, advertising and internet sales are so strictly enforced. bars were fine for posting videos of cocktail making and menus for drinks delivery. yet large bruise avoid the band by advertising, mineral water and soda, that they're the same logos as their alcohol products. here's an example of thailand's alcohol control loss. if i were to take a selfie here in this bar and share it on social media, i could be fined up to $1500.00 for indirectly advertising the brands of alcohol behind me. if i own the bar, i can be fined up to $15000.00 and possibly face a year in jail. alcohol control laws have been a contentious subject in thailand, historically, politically connected, conservative and religious groups have worked to keep them strict. an opposition

member of parliament, a former bar owner himself, is working to change the laws and save smaller bars and trouble when we open again and that's always come again there would file highlight is popularly different times we it's not fun anymore. and yet some who support the alcohol. i see it's also about safety. for visitors. i think towards safety should be up. her id. i think alcohol control is necessary. if we let the alcohol sellers run 3 and do whatever they want, things will get mercy. once thailand emerges from its locked down, curfews are listed in the night. life is allowed to reopen. it's unclear if will return as it once was, or a watered down version. it's got either al jazeera, bangkok, while still ahead for you and for a head for height will bring you some pretty impressive cliff diving mentally, coming up shortly with jemma. ah
