recovery of a struggling cinema industry in the grand scheme of things is covered in a glow down the list of priorities. thought this is really, really needs to be said in the cinema. and i'm just incredibly grateful to m g m and universe whole here and bridge morning on view on our website. the address for that is out there dot com. and you can watch us live by clicking on the orange live icon under 0 dot com. ah. which up stories are now to 0. they told us military commander has called the end of the 20 year war and dentist on a strategic failure in his 1st congressional testimony following the chaotic american withdrawal. last month, the ministries who taught bras are being questioned by senators on capitol hill. the button the administration has been widely accused of being unprepared. the full

of cobbled senior officials have admitted the taliban forces advanced far more quickly than anticipated. we helped build a state mr. chairman, but we could not for donation the fact that the afghan army, that we and our partner strained, simply melted away in many cases without firing a shot, took us all by surprise and it would be just honest a claim. otherwise, we need to consider some uncomfortable truth that they didn't fully comprehend the depth of corruption and poor leadership and the senior ranks that we didn't gras damaging effect effect of frequent and unexplained rotations by president ghani of his commanders. that we didn't anticipate the snowball effect caused by the deals that the taliban commanders struck with local leaders in a wake up a doha agreement. and that the doha agreement itself had a demoralizing effect on afghan soldiers, opposition politicians, engineers,

you have worn the call for widespread protest unless the president backtracks on the decision to seize executive power for parties formed a coalition against guy said, accusing him of carrying out. last week the president announced he drew by decree and ignore parts of the constitution. the telephone says it's planning to reinstate the constitution committee 6 decades ago. kind of storms new list, want to apply the one to 64 charter, but only where it doesn't conflict with their version of islamic law. the existing constitution was drawn up with the help of the united states in 2004 in spain is declared the on and of la paloma a disaster zone. 9 days after the caribbean. ok now began interrupting the government's 1st package of ages. the amount was $12000000.00 to help rebuild homes and replace furniture and essential goods to stay with us. the stream is up next
10:33 pm
bye for now. me. ah. hello i semi ok and your in the stream. today we are bringing you 3 stories is afghanistan being left to go hungry. as winter approaches, the food shortages are becoming dire. then while some nations are proving code vaccine boosters, other poor nations are struggling to get 1st doses. and finally, the close stop britney spears need documentaries, have brought to life the controlling, make just
10:34 pm
a legal situation. what does have end up like the all of these stories i know you have thoughts on you can check to us and i each box, it's right here. and i will do my best to bring your comments to a panel of experts, but you have to be quick as a day. so it's going to be a fast moving program. we start it after that where more than 14000000 people are at risk of going hungry case in the data. with some context the people in harness done are facing the worst humanity in crisis. health work out of teachers and government employees have not received their salary for more than 3 months now. the economy was already on shaky ground before the previous president left, the finest on, things are getting worse. now. people who depended on daily wages are not able to support their families any longer. because businesses are close and construction and development work has stopped. doors who have many in banks cannot withdraw
10:35 pm
their money because the banks are allowing only up to $200.00 withdrawal in a week. where joined by shadow mc robbie, she is a spokesperson for the well program. well, for program, one of the few agencies continuing to work in afghanistan. shares is good to have you here. if you could estimate the number of people right now in afghanistan going hungry, what would you tell us? thank you so much for me for having me. so what we're looking at in terms of the situation there is a very complex one going even more complex and severe. we have 14000000 people who are severely food insecure enough on us. and we recently did some surveys where we found out that 95 percent of families are not getting adequate food to get by the week. some of them have been completely cut off and run out of
10:36 pm
food at least once. in the past 2 weeks. we've got one in 3 worth of food insecure. half of the children under 5 are malnourished, and a quarter of women were pregnant. breast feeding are also malnourished. so what we're seeing, as i said, is like a situation that's growing more severe and complex. and what we need is $200000000.00 to provide life saving food assistance to a $14000000.00 people from now until the end of the year. and we need that money right now because winter is just around the corner. and we need to make sure that we can pre position the food stocks and provide the lifeline to families in need. otherwise the consequences are going to be catastrophic. shattered. i want to bring in the country,
10:37 pm
director of the well food program in afghanistan because she's talking about how families managing not knowing where the next mil may come from. here she is $3.00 and $4.00 already borrowing food, they're eating less nutritious food. so basically the foregoing meat and dairy and vegetables, they're also reducing the portion size and in many cases their parents are going to eat the children can eat. so basically everyone teetering on the brink of desperate hunger. i want to go straight to youtube jazz because we've got a question here. this is from wiley abra. bureaucratic red tape is killing africans by virtue of denying age due to taliban members, being part of the un harold list. and how may says do for an agencies have logistical security support from the taliban? 2 important questions that let's talk about red tape festival. is that impacting w f p. work on the ground in afghanistan. we're able to scale up
10:38 pm
very swiftly. we're ready to provide assistance based on obviously the managerial principles of humanity, neutrality, operational independence and impartiality. so we're ready to deliver the assistance to those who need it and we have been given the access and the assurance this to do . so what we need are the fun in order to, to sort of get the assistance to those needed the most. and as i, i cannot stress enough how much we need to do that as soon as possible before winter stuff. and because once the snow yeah, it's going to be very difficult to access those families in those communities. and this could be their only lifeline. while they're being cut off with this notes, it's very dizzy. so show that there was a good question that some have us about your security. i believe that the answer
10:39 pm
would be you couldn't possibly explain the secuity for the well through program members who down in the ground in afghanistan. but what would you say to that question? sorry, the security using who's providing your security other taliban and making sure that you are staying secure, that you can do your work on the ground? well, we're busy getting assurance as you know from i mean, we've been working with a telephone for decades right now and all in all conflict. we worked with the defective authorities and their responsibilities to ensure the security of 8 workers operating on the ground. and we've been able to carry out our operations. we have launched a flight. many, not many people know that we actually manage the us military and air service. so this is a service for the humanitarian community that transports the aid workers from one
10:40 pm
place to another. so we established these flights, they've been flying regularly and we've also been able to get support and assistance through landry and a through cross border operation. all right, so i'm just going to share this last graphic here because you said multiple times, you need age, you need money right now. this is from out, is there a dot com? afghanistan, 14000000 people going hungry. just going to help you out here with the legend. dark radius famine, no fan when he yet, but look at the orange, orange is crisis. red emergency, you see the red areas that very little is green. in fact, there's no way here that says minimal food insecurity level. so i've got time right now is stressed in classes in emergency schanzer. thank you very much for bringing us this news is this really important news from the wealth folk food program? we will leave it, appreciate you joining us on the stream. and now,
10:41 pm
coach vaccines last week. the u. s. approved booster shots for southern people while the african continent is not even reached a 10 percent vaccination. right. have a look up to 6000000000 doses of vaccines administered worldwide, 80 percent have gone to high up a middle income country and less than middle point 5 percent have gone to africa. this means that people continue to see people getting infected and die and unnecessarily from when we actually have the tools that have been developed, unprecedented speed to be able to stop. the acute faded the panoramic and to address the huge impacts on health on deciding economies. well, the ac has been leader and donating, putting more vaccines than any other country. we need to continue to prioritize 1st doses of vaccines in arms all around the world. because if we don't,
10:42 pm
then we may see the emergence of newer, more virulent variance that can pierce faxing, induce the natural immunity for all of us. we cannot boost our way as a panoramic welcome back to a stream actual proper la. he is from bangalore in india. he's a public health activist. he talks to us about vaccine equity and vaccine inequity . i just got to ask you right now, knowing how the, well, it is divided between the haves and have nots vaccines. what she'll need i'm despondent. i've been working on this, i mean, for the last year and a half trying to increase access to gartner vaccine. and what the dawn is, shing is that for all of the sound and the fury, in fact the, the actions of rich government like united states in germany have finally signified not very much. so what we now have with booster shots being rolled out is a minority of the world. 15 percent of the world,
10:43 pm
which is vaccinated between 50 and 70 percent of the population have now the ability to put a 3rd dose into people's arms while a majority of countries in this world about afterwards, population waits for photos. it's astonishing that tony about a boost at the booster debate. this is president biden getting a vaccination. now i confuse the video for his 1st set of toville vaccines, but this is the booster. so this is his 3rd shot. just live is we have a look here and say, well, more about that need to get back to me the way here and we are helping we're doing more than every other nation in the world. combine. we're going to have well, over a 1100000000 shots and continue going. we're going to do our part. we've also got
10:44 pm
a great deal of funding to co backs, which is a vehicle that does this. so we have plenty, plenty of opportunities to make sure we get everyone in the world playing our largest part back in actual thought sitting more than every other nation combined to the president of the united states. i wish i could believe in me. i hadn't seen that video. it's just not true. united states is doing more than any bridge western nation, but it's definitely not doing anything every other country, the one combined. the truth is that the donations to united states are made out of trickle. in total they donate enough to vaccinate tens of millions of people. ready when the need is really in the 10s of billions of vaccines, we need more than 10000000 vaccines in order to back to the world vaccinating tens
10:45 pm
of millions of people through the nation is welcome. but it's hardly a drop of water in the ocean. so it's disingenuous, it's also self defeating. i think that when americans take booster shot they forget that the very. ready end of course is that they are protecting themselves against came. ready from india at a time when 3 percent of our population does vaccinating well get, guess what's happening now? one of the most populous continent on the continent of africa has an ex nation rate of 3 percent of its population having been vaccinated. and so there are billions there and in other places that are potentially waiting to come back into countries that are getting on boosters it's, it's, it's, it's treating the problem at a surface level. it's not taking the wound that's not going to work out. well, i'm going to go to h a festival and i'm going to show you
10:46 pm
a p s. a. wes and various celebrities around the world are encouraging people to do better. so this is john cooper unusual. thanks for watching john. we need to encourage vaccine uptake in developing countries alongside distribution, putting in another issue about uptake. and then what is the leper teeth telling us? is this messaging working? have a look. there are 2 of the main worlds of the pole. if you live in a rich country, vaccines are rolling out 30 times faster and you have the option to be safe. if you live in a poor country, the pandemic could last another 4 years with devastating long term effects on health. education and jobs to divide is not just unfair and inhumane. it is dangerous. new variance are already thriving, especially in places where the vaccination rates are low. now the world we are in
10:47 pm
this together till everybody is safe. nobody is saying i tell it's a red message, i'm happy that all of these celebrities and harry and megan last week and have been saying the same thing. the truth, however, that the rest with 2 governments out of the many rich western countries who have power and those are the united states in germany. because be that the government that funded and created most of the vaccines that are in the world today. now, people in the united states in germany have the power off the ballot and they can for the day, governments to do the right thing. since clearly after a year and a half of trying, we know that the pharmaceutical companies in the countries aren't. this is what i hope really happens. this is what i hope the celebrities can drive, which is mass action by ordinary people who have clear,
10:48 pm
rational empathy for the rest of us in this world and getting forced a governance to do the right thing. because unless that happens, it really looks like my thing is going to change a couple of questions here on. so let me put this one to you from johnny, to, to here on my laptop. johnny says, racism, politics and capitalism are the greatest challenges in ensuring global vaccine equity. what do you think we look at racism here with just about wealth. i tell i have to say. ready that in this case, i think it is a shop print to hoover out as much money that is possible on the back of a. ready few handful of companies i can cut them on less than one hand as quickly as possible without heed to the social emotional cough off that profiteering. in this case,
10:49 pm
i think that if it's not even capitalism as it was meant to function, it is a whole series of monopolies which is very anti capitalistic in every way. ready that capitalism is defined in a textbook. it really does go against the grain of every decent human notion. we have every economic concept that we hold doesn't matter where the, on the left or the right. this is something that people should be up or down and about everywhere. i tell. thank you so much noise. come with the same message and we always keep bringing you back. finally, some pop culture news. the new documentary have revealed what the life of britney spears has been like under the conservatorship of her father. a recent new york times film focuses on the monitoring and surveillance. brittany has faced people once close to the pop star, has spoken out. oh, i know this is the right thing to do and i, you know,
10:50 pm
obviously i really want to do it but it's, it's still scary. oh, i don't know what's going to happen after this. come now i oh, i've never spoken about what we witnessed. you know, we sign those n d a 's and has been hard to come forward knowing there are people in her management that could stop me from making a living. but this is important me lisa mccauley joins us now from california. she is an estate and probate attorney and has worked extensively unconcerned to ship nice to have a year on the stream. people sometimes they will take if with you pop culture, analysis era. but this is really, really important because why?
10:51 pm
what have we learned about conservative ships through quickly smith? right, well one of the things that i've been working on as when my personal projects is trying to bring to light what i call abusive conservator ships. and this is a result of systemic flaws and litigation laws that are flawed. and instead of protecting people that are truly incapacitated and need to be protected, the system now frequently inflicts trauma, abuse and exploitation on people. and brittany spears might be one of the worst examples that i've ever seen. but she is part of a system of abuse. a pattern of abuse that is going on throughout the united states . let me give people an example of what some a ledge is abusive,
10:52 pm
britney spears. so for instance, in new york times film where it's looking at the surveillance and monitoring of britney spears, at some point, she wanted to have her phone and i phone. and then the i phone was monitored. let's have a look at this and why don't we just take an i pad, sign in with an icloud on there, the same cloud that brittany would use on her phone. and that would mirror all activity. you would be able to see all messages, all face time calls, nodes, browser history, photographs. so lisa, literally shaking her head for the entire clip. what is wrong here, lisa? why would that not be ok? well, even if brittany spears needed a conservator and i don't believe that she ever did, i believe that there were
10:53 pm
a series of missteps by the corps and the attorneys that resulted in a violation of her constitutional rights and civil liberties that has never been warranted. but to use surveillance on any person to this extent is, is disgusting. it's despicable misconduct and way out of line for a conservatory who is supposed to be yes, protecting you. but this is just one more violation of britney spears person and her sanctity. as a human being. so i was mortified watching this documentary. i've been mortified every time. i learn something new about this conservatorship. what should an ideal conservatorship look like, lisa? so we know we've got an example of a really bad one. what should a good one like?
10:54 pm
well, i've been fortunate in my practice that i represent families who are dealing with very difficult circumstances where a loved one either has been born incapacitated, has become incapacitated or has aged into incapacity. and by incapacity the california law is very clear. what they are looking for is someone literally unable to provide for their own needs for health, food, clothing and shelter, a readership will typically involve an elderly person. most of my conservatives are elderly. they have failed to do estate planning which would allow them to escape the supervision of the court. and you know, of course, there are many reasons that that goes wrong. but really what we're looking for is
10:55 pm
a family member or a trusted fiduciary to step in and manage someone in a way that gives them the most freedom that gives them the highest quality of life that they can possibly enjoy at this particular stage. this is one of the reasons why we are so focused on what's happening to put any spaces because the fans, her fans, they love that very involved in what is happening to her and her well being concerned about what may happen to her conservatorship he's been. have to listen to that so i don't think it's likely that wednesday hearing will result in immediate termination of full conservatorship, which is what janie and his team had filed for. i don't see that happening, although we will take it. what i see happening hopefully is brittany lawyers position to remove jamie's beer,
10:56 pm
does contributor of estate being approved by the judge, and then finally to terminate, hopefully before her 40th birthday in december. me. so what do you think's going to happen next? well, i certainly would never have gas that we would see tomorrow's hearings being queued up like this. but we have basically, jamie and his lawyers arguing vehemently that the conservatorship should be terminated and we have brittany's tourney attorneys. and after brittany has stated numerous times that she wants her conservatorship terminated. now, they're saying, well hold on, we need to have an interim fiduciary. i don't have anything to say about it, but if it was my call to make, i would love to see this rancid, horrible conservatorship terminated tomorrow, and let the lawyers fight about the money and fight about what happened over the last 13 years or more totally independent of having any authority or
10:57 pm
any jurisdiction over controlling brittany spears. i'd like to see that and but right now, the way that the attorneys are setting things up very hard to tell what judge penny is going to do tomorrow. going to leave you with one more fat voice. this is the fan voice of rachel viewers. it gives you a sense of how involved britney finds all we can use wellbeing his rachel, to me it's very simple. talking with brittany while she in the conservative and it's something it's almost brittany, which i don't believe in why she having to work in same way and pay for all these different people. and she's the one doing all the work. and she's the one putting in all the effort. she's the one that lives out on my children. you know why? i hate her support,
10:58 pm
and i hope she gets free. thank you, rachel, i'm thank you lisa, in particular for joining us. if you have any stories that you would like to cover on the stream through just a day stream, thanks are watching to the next time. ah ah, ah, ah, ah, ah. chose the oh no, just going back team inequality to the political and economic in the latest development at the corona virus and demi companies, the bread across the globe, democracy, major, inexpensive new series explores the ever growing challenges to democracy around the
