brought her to paris and her star just ruins from there. i think it's i determination in her life. i unique drive that she had to, you know, regardless of what the circumstances were, that she would try and surmount those circumstances. so, you know, in addition to being a performer and an actress and a business owner, you know, she was a spy, you know, as she fought for civil rights in the u. s. in latin america. i'm so i think it was just as singular drive within her on that, you know, helped her to achieve all of these things. and as you said, i would encourage anyone who doesn't know about her story to go online and read up on her life. it's pretty remarkable and the focus, if i understand it, is on her embodiment of the french spirit. that was one of the reasons why she was put forward, particularly by an annual knock on the president ab, to be in touch in the pantheon. how do you think the ceremony is going to be received by black people in france and around the world?

i think that, oh, this is an opportunity for black people in france and around the world to, you know, learn about her life. and i think that they receive it very well. um, she is well loved by folks who nor her. but i think that this is another introduction to a generation that probably, you know, has no idea of who she is. she's basically, i would say, in modern times the 1st black superstar that truly the 1st global black superstar, and i think that her recognition, this is the highest honor, you know, i mean, a couple years ago the story that i bid we, the folks were fighting to preserve her cabaret, which was turned into a bar, and now she has the highest honor in friends. so i think that people will feel very pleased that you know, she's recognized. but even without friends recognizing her, i think that you know, black people all over the world who knew about her where you, how great she was. you know, she was,
