jazeera, here are some of the media stories, a critical look at the global news media cast right on al jazeera government shut off access to social media. ah, this is al jazeera ah, hello, i'm the father. this is the news our live from dough coming up in the next 60 minutes . danish police say multiple people, a hit and a shooting incident at a shopping mall in copenhagen. one suspect is arrested. ah, ohio police released audio ham video of a fatal shooting of a 25 year old black man in the u. s. city of acrylic. ukraine says its troops of

danish police arriving at the sight of the shooting. what more can you tell us when the, the police are still saying that several people were hit in the shooting at this shopping mall known as fields it, sir, around 8 kilometers, 7 or 8 kilometers from the center of the danish capital. copenhagen. and it happened or at around $630.00 local time. we understand and there is video on social media are we think it was shot inside the shopping mall, showing people running in panic, screaming. and you can hear several shots being fired for the duration of the, the video that i've seen, which is around 15 seconds or so. really terrifying scenes. and the police have arrested one person so far. they say they're not in
9:03 pm
a position to comment further on the identity of the individual that they've arrested. but that was fairly quick. now very soon after the shooting happens, there were a number of armed police on the scene as well as a police helicopter, and ambulances, paramedics there very quickly as well. i've seen at least one person being taken away by paramedics on a stretcher. we don't know the condition of the people or in fact, how many people were hit during the shooting. and this was really a shocking event for many people in denmark, they might well have known the place. it's a huge shopping mall extremely popular. and not only that, it's just down the road just over half a kilometer from the royal arena in copenhagen, where the pot star harry styles was giving a concert. in fact, he is giving a concert on sunday night. it was about an hour and
9:04 pm
a half before that was due to get under way. there was some speculation that might be effected, but the organizers vera say no, they're in touch with the police handling the incident around the more they are happy for that concept to carry on. but it's raised a lot of worries for people in the danish capital, a hundreds of people worth believe to be in or around them all at the time. shopping perhaps grabbing some food and yet it's a, it's a popular place for people to relax. we don't have any more information from the police right now. they say they will be updating as they, as they're able to do so. and the dean very briefly, i appreciate this is a developing story, but do we have any more information about the arrest? no, the police are stressing in their only communication so far since that that they can't say any more about the person's identity. so we don't know whether it's the future or not. there is speculation on social media that the, the actual shooter might still be a large. now,
9:05 pm
a certain consequences of follow the via the royal family have cancelled an event on sunday evening to do with a tour to france. now the 1st stage of that as part of the con, they part has actually happened on sunday in copenhagen, but the royal family counseling and events, the mayor of the city saying that the incident is very serious. and apparently just a while ago, ambulances was still arriving on the scene. and it's being reported that there is a huge police presence generally around the city, indicating a man hunt still underway. and the, and so as i say, the concerts just down the road at the royal arena, not affected, although people going heading towards that were worried by it. in fact, quite a number of people staying in a hotel for the concert that was near the shopping mall. actually had to be rushed to safety after the shooting, but they're all okay. thankfully that the baba on the shooting and copenhagen speak

to us. will london broke us and sir thou to easton ukraine, where the ukrainian military says it has withdrawn its forces from the city of las a chance. it's ukraine's last major stronghold and the lou hand screeching. the announcement comes after moscow, earliest that he had taken full control of the city roches defense minister, reportedly told president vladimir putin the province had been liberated. this unverified video was posted by chechen leader rums on carry it off. he says it shows must go back chechen soldiers in the city of lucy chanced. well, let's bring in allan fisher in key if not allen. and initially the ukrainians was saying that mister chance hasn't been captured and that the forces were still fighting on what are we hearing now while there's been fierce fighting around that area for the last week or so. and we know that within the last 24 hours at the moscow back separatists and the number of other russian fighters had suggested that
9:07 pm
lead encircled the city, the ukrainians denied that until just a few hours ago was saying that simply wasn't the case. that fighting was continuing, but the city was not encircled. and then just about an hour or so ago they posted on to social media to see that the euclidean troops had withdrawn from the city because they wanted to try and save their lives. but the added, we will be back and we will when know the president has spoken in the last hour or so he has said that losses were always expected at, but they did what they had to do to make sure that they maintained their firepower . and that the saved the lives. but this is a big strategic win for the russians that been battling there for a number of weeks that became one of them mean eames to take this area after they realized that they weren't going to sweep through, keep and take that in the early stages of the war, so the diverted a great deal of resources down to the don boss region and including the cities like this. and what has happened is that they have taken
9:08 pm
a control of that. now you remember that in the dawn bass in 2014, there were 2 more school back separatist groups who declared essential independence that had been fighting ukraine since then. and then on the eve of the war, russia recognized both of those brick away republics for want of a better phrase. they now have control in one. they'll be turning their attention to the other area in the dorm bass, the donates. and they will be hoping that they can take control of that very soon, sticking them a lot longer to get a hold of the hands. but we'll be hoping the can do something much quicker at, but the that is know the new front line of the war here in ukraine and i learned am talking about russia's potential next move. it's next strategy. we've also heard of reports of shelling in the ukranian city of south dan skirt. how does that all fit into this pitcher savanski? is an old outside away from las a chance at the mere there has said that over the last few hours there has been an intense bombardment of russian muscles. there were
9:09 pm
a number of fires across the city. a number of people had been killed and he put the figure at 6. that number could well go up and at least a 15 injured. he said, it was the heaviest bombardment that the city had sustained since the start of the war. clearly, it shows that the russians of intent at some point in moving into the city as well, or at least softening up the defense as they are trying to turn tie up ukrainian forces. but it will be of concern that this hugely important strategic target has fallen to the rush. and certainly we were told that the situation would become much clearer. the next 24 hours. but 2 after 2 hours after that, we were told that list a chance cat had fallen, and that is a strategic win for the russians. but this could be a problem for them as well, because they have concentrated so many resources to this fight in the don vice, that they have weakened their forces elsewhere. and the ukrainians may sense that
9:10 pm
there is an opportunity to strike back at the russians where they are weakest. l. m, fisher, and ukrainian capital kia in the rapidly changing pitcher in the east of the country . a police in the us state of ohio say all body cam footage from police involved in the shooting of a black man on monday will be released. jayla walker was killed after officers stopped him for a traffic violation. last monday, his family's lawyer says he was shot more than 60 times already camera footage from the 8 officers who killed walker and 5 others on the scene will be used in an independent investigation. we do not know the exact number of rounds that were fired. again, this is something that b, c i will discover in their examination of evidence. however, based on the video, i anticipate that number to be high. a lot of rounds were fired and i will not be
9:11 pm
surprised if the number at the end of the investigation is consistent with the number that has been circulating it in the media. but right now, we just don't know which 100 joins is now from akron. in ha, hi a joe, and you were that say rather unusual press conference a short while ago. why did the police feel the need to share that evidence with the public? well, this is a town, very concerned about what might happen. they've watched the killing by a white police officer of a black man, george floyd, and how that launched. i protest since sometimes riots in every major city in the united states and they've sent out signals that that is the thing they are very worried about here. the downtown looks like a fortress. there are as sanitation trucks blocking all the major roads around the justice center, which includes the court and the police station. there is
9:12 pm
a barricade around that building is well, the family has asked for people to respond peacefully, but to speak up for jaylen walker. and what happened to him and the police chief and the mayor both said the same thing. it seems like what they want to do is get this out there as quickly as possible. make it clear that they will launch transparent, independent investigation that is actually being done by state authorities. they've handed off the investigations whether the police aren't investigating themselves, at least not that police department, and they want to make clear that they're trying to do this correctly. i asked the police chief if he found the number of shots fired reportedly as high as 90 excessive. he said he wasn't going to comment on that, but he said there. ready a lot of shots fired there was one clarification on the number of bullets in jail and walker's body in that is that they said there were 60
9:13 pm
wounds, but they weren't clear yet. they were still counting, which ones were entrance wounds and which ones were exit wounds. so that would appear to suggest there were somewhere between $30.60 wounds there. and we just heard from the lawyer for the family of jaylin walker, bobby de cello. he said they want to turn him into a masked monster with a gun. he went on to say, jalen was unarmed. now, it is clear from what the police. he said that he was unarmed at the time he was shot, there was a, a gun, and a magazine left on the seat of the car. the police chief confirmed it after he left the car, that jalen walker was definitely on arm. but they did say that it appeared that he had fired a gun out of the car. they say there was a muzzle flash. and so the police behind him were reporting that. so that would account possibly for the police reasoning in any case that they felt that their lives were threatened. but very interestingly,
9:14 pm
the police chief also confirmed that the 1st thing that happened was 2 officers fired tasers adam. that is something that police generally don't do if they feel their lives are immediately at stake. it wasn't until later when the police chief said jail and made a motion, possibly trying to move forward, that the officers deployed their guns and when they did so they did so with force 8 officers fired as many as 90 bullets. $10.00 to $13.00 bullets on average, a piece of that can be believe there were 5 other officers who did not fire at that scene. so what happens in the street now is the big concern for people here in this city and so on. 100 a, of course you will be keeping an eye on that on hand or not, corresponded in akron, ohio. tell plenty more head on the news hour, including a constitutional stand often to nicea with warnings. the country is in danger of becoming a dictatorship and soaring health care costs in lebanon, economic crisis, as people look into alternative medicines,

between echo as countries themselves. what has been the biggest stumbling block as it were to prosperity within these countries? what, what basically trading among the member countries has been very low for quite some time. it's expected that with the free trade, i think a free trade agreement, things will improve. however, if you look at the production in west africa, you'll find that there is little going on in terms of production. how did you say regular, the industrial base that is not strong. and so even if they wanted to trade among themselves, it's a very, very huge problem for them. so they, these countries really, really rely on foreign import to such as 5 their local demands. for example, nigeria, this is a country with huge or results. we've oil and gas is a huge market population of $2200000000.00 plus. and of course, with, with
