7:30 am
ah he brings so much joy to us. not just the our play football game plan. ah, but, but every single day, he's just like a great kid. seguin, i'm campaign to deliver. and he delivered it 5 times in a row. he said, i think i want to change it. oh, to mind giving his concession speech in ohio, he's just lost a race to ged vans. daniel vance republican going to the senate. let's go back now to hydro castro, she's falling all these events in this part of america very closely. you are in wisconsin, heidi, there we are talking about an extremely close race for the senate. turns about that . that's right,
7:31 am
and this is one that still it's early. i believe there's about a 3rd of results coming in and it's still pretty much neck and neck. we have ron johnson, the republican incumbent who is trying to defend his senate seat from the challenger . democrat, mandela barnes, the staple lieutenant governor, and throughout the night we've seen the 2 of them trading spots in the lead. and ultimately that may be a race that comes down to just mere thousands of votes. and it might be a result that we do not learn about officially until tomorrow, or perhaps even later. given that wisconsin is, it is a state where absentee ballots mail and balance. they don't start counting them until the day of the election. so certainly that is another nail biter at the governor's race here in wisconsin. also pretty close though, the democrat and comment tony evers is in the lead now. and again, this is
7:32 am
a swing state, wisconsin is a swing state, it's appears to still be hustling state. unlike arguably, ohio and florida that have drifted red words this mid term in that this is a state where so few votes can make a big difference and we saw turn out and then through the as m among voters, here are 35 percent greater. turn out in this mid term election and the previous one. and then of course we're also watching michigan. that is one we have to mention because of the constitutional amendment before voters about whether the state sets in to protect abortions, which of course is one of the leading issues that voters have been telling us across the country, driving them to the polls this round and with early returns, it appears that voters in michigan do support the state protecting abortion rights, and we're seeing that in the lead comfortably by some 5 percentage points this
7:33 am
point also mirrored in michigan's governor race, which the incumbent democrat, gretchen, i, she, she is also in the lead by a comfortable margin, a progression whitmore. and there has been an argument that because of the motor enthusiasm to support bush abortion rights in michigan and democratic candidates like governor whitmore, are also experiencing a boost as a reflection of bad. so still, early, none of these races have been called, but certainly we'll keep our eyes out. okay, hi d, thanks very much. we're now saying, stacy abrams coming out to speak in georgia. she was running for governor against flying camp. as listen, m o u a he george. thank you, danny. it is good to be here in this moment, surrounded by your love and support. and let me begin by offering congratulations
7:34 am
to governor brian can our so our state has experience. one soul crushing crisis after another, over the past few years. but even during these, trying times, the filing spirit of georgia has prevailed. we've seen what's possible when we stand up for our neighbors and protect each other. we've made sacrifices we've pitched in. we've seen each other's fights as our own, and we've done things. we never thought we could. it is in the spirit of that endurance and of that persistence, that i decided again to run for governor. ah lou 3 for one reason and one reason only to fight and not just any fight,
7:35 am
a fight to save georgia. a fight on behalf of our children and generations took from a fight on behalf of our people, whether they know it or not. a fight for basic human rights that we should take for granted. but we have to struggle to hold on to and a fight for the values that we hold dear. and we may never sacrifice. i got into this for a fight for what we know to be true, deep down in our bones that the state of georgia, the people of georgia deserve more at grounds, different religions speak different languages. we have different dreams and we feel passionate about different issues and very different ways. but despite our differences, despite what people will tell us separate that stacy abraham's abrams giving her
7:36 am
concession speech there in georgia. she was just like to brian camp, the republican incumbent, republican evans, lost her georgia 2nd race against him there in georgia as going out to pennsylvania . there we got a really close race going on for the senate. this is moment, ours speaking there. now let us nancy, what he's got to say. you're a, are you oh, we're all b ah ah
7:37 am
ah, ah, i was memory owes speaking there. he's still in a tight race but the senate for republicans in pennsylvania. he's against the incumbent. john fassman? no. no. clare result there in our correspondent gable elizondo was saying that it could even be a number of days before we get a result. it is a key race for the senate there in pennsylvania. we hope we can bring you a graphic and just a 2nd to show you what is happening. there it is. 49.45 fassman 48.19, the very, very close. only 76 percent of the votes counted. so
7:38 am
a little way to go. busy to place to call that and not have from jordan fassman, but have heard from them at all as, as they've been spending the night watching those results coming in as go to john henderson in georgia cuz we leased the fully cut over to them at all. we were listening to stacy abrams giving her concession speech in georgia plan for the republican one. it says, cynthia abrams 2nd no. against him. i just had to has been rushing law for a room because it was her 2nd go round. he's bought this battle for years to expand voter rights. and instead, what you've done is last round between that last election and this one losing by several percentage points by a balance due margin that had been forecast in pose before this to marie,
7:39 am
i'm just going to interrupt you for a moment that because we now have jamie vance. he's speaking from a higher, he's just one, the senate raised after republican people on the, on the stage with me. i just want to say, you know, you can't do this without your family support and especially my beautiful wife who sure thank you for that. and the great thing about having 3 young children, we have a 5 year old, a 2 year old and it's in muddled. they're upstairs and sleep. they have no idea what the hell is going on. i wanna, i want to thank my family. it's so great to have everybody here, mom, it we, everybody, lindsey, i won't go through the entire list here, but i'll call jimmy and donna, it's funny, my family helps keep me grounded as we're walking down here. my aunt said to my uncle, aren't you glad that he won? that would be terrible. right home. right. that's what we're thinking here in the
7:40 am
vans family. we're we're, we're sticking out the important stuff. i could not have done this good, not of one. this race could not have had what we, what we have here tonight. i mean, the governor and the lieutenant governor, brush it every other statewide office washed it and i'm, i'm, i'm so grateful to my to wine and john houston. i'm so grateful to bob. a new check for helping us cobble together a unified republican team. and we want and we want big ladies here. wanted incredible thing. oh my lord. huh. and i got to say, of course i had so much fun going around campaigning with all the statewide officials. i had so much incredible experience is getting to meet people all across the state of ohio. but thank you to the ohio republican party. we just got to cover we just got
7:41 am
a great chance to govern and we need to use it. and i promise to all of my friends who are going to be the state house, all of my friends are going to be the state capitol. we need better leadership in washington dc, and that's exactly what i promise to fight for every single day. c now the, the last, the last thing i want to say, the last couple of words of gratitude here, i have been blessed with an incredible incredible campaign team. and i can't think these guys enough, but i just wanted, i own a name, a few people by name. first of all, 1st the guy probably for the most time on the campaign trail last year and a half. and when we won the primary, i forgot, and patrick mcallister, thank you for getting to see to where we need to go to jordan, our great campaign manager bryan, who's the 1st time. 2 or
7:42 am
incredible pub seem taylor and luke. hi. and. and you guys may have noticed that the national media was very interested in our race, a tail and look at their hands for god bless you guys. thank you. i will morning, matt williams, who did everything that we asked them to do and did it very well. thank you guys talk to no, no. baker? nick morgan? yes. a j d vans giving his acceptance speech there in ohio. he's just one the senate seat for the republicans of 38 year old political novice and an election deny questions . the outcome of 2020 election says trump should have won it so an interesting
7:43 am
candidate to keep an eye on the in the higher no longer a candidate is. in fact, the senator for ohio. we can now call another senate seat. this one for new hampshire. this is maggie hassan, the democratic incumbent. she has just one that seat, that was a key race as well. it was thought that the republicans would be a will, might be able to flip. it says her son was seen when the most vulnerable in the senate. so a sigh of relief for democrats there. let's go over to patty because i know that her back to j d. vans party were very interested in watching that races are pretty interesting. character love him or low him, and he's now in the senate. his now in the senate and you know what we've had all of these new information come in, so i want to get right back to my panel. one of the things we're looking at is election denial. your organization, the washington post said 51 percent of g o p, a republican candidates for the all house senate keith,
7:44 am
to step senate races said the 2020 election was stolen, j t events, one of them and now he's one year tracker says $75.00 election deniers have already won in the selection. how did we get here? we've it was, is it just because donald trump said they were billed the election was stolen or hedged out of her here? another tend to think so. yeah, i mean, like the social science literature suggests that when you get these big narratives that take hold, it is often the elite messaging. it's the people at the top, the, the, the elected politicians, the media leaders, the whoever the elites are in the message space. what they say, it's a, it's a trickle down effect. it's not that the elite ser parroting stuff that they think the grassroots want to hear the direction really tends to go the other way. and so there was no action night last or 2 years ago when, you know, it started in that moment when he right away, had already planned to say we, we won. and, and, you know, regardless of the facts and, you know, i mean,
7:45 am
we all right, we were there like we remember with the whole i'm thinking about the lawn company, kerfuffle lens growl, the rest of it with that just silver seasons landscape. yeah. that's what i was trying to think of just perpetuating the lie, which at 1st seemed absurd and then like it's just taken on this life of its own to the point where now it's this litmus test for republican candidates that we are seeing come to life tonight. tins, how does your party survived that? i think it's a problem. i think it's from for democracy and i, you know, would certainly call out and happy to call out anyone who the account perpetuates those ideas. but i think it is a your problem then just donald trump, amena, we aren't say say abrams talk earlier, unfortunately. oh heard a snippet of it. ah, it was framed as a concession speech or this would be her purse concession speech that are true in it. although it is a vast, a huge problem on the republican side,
7:46 am
it is very important to point out that wind, stacy abrams, lost in 2018. she used very strong language implied if not illinois, just straight out said it was stolen. but she was one democrat and the other add to it. okay. because you know, hillary clinton maybe didn't go as far in some, some aspects, but she's also question the validity of the 2016 election. and she's done that since 2016. yes. she gave a concession speech the night of, but she's question the validity and whether or not it was actually stolen, love it and, and, and leading in the 2020. she gave joe biden advice, advice, public advice, and the media. do not under any circumstance, concede this selection. ah, wait, let it play out. like don't concede now. she 4 days ago, maybe 5 days ago now. she made comments about a republican plot to still the election for 2024. but i'm not saying, i'm not saying any, i'm does, i'm not, i'm not putting them in a, you know,
7:47 am
hand in hand hear what i am saying. this is a problem. this is a problem with democracy. if people and i, there's millions of people who have concerns about elections on both sides of the aisle. we need to do a better job. we need to do a better job of coming together and making sure that we can give people the election that they can trust. we have to rebuild institutions for that. ah, including you know, kind of our like i think it's a much closer sharon's much much bigger issue on the republican side. but olivia, i think we have to take a step back here and look at the broader context for the people who deny the election. you've got a steady decades long erosion in americans trust in major institutions, religious institutions, even the military of late has seen a public trust, diminish government, of course, the news media. and i'm going to start with the news media congress. every major institution in american life has seen its popularity and the amount of trust the public,
7:48 am
imbues in it even to the broader supreme court also has as jennifer points out, you had on the national, securely security leads who didn't prevent 911 and got us into iraq, you at the financial elite, who got us into the great recession of o 7, o, 8 o 9. and you had a pandemic recently, which has cast a lot of doubt on how our medical leads can respond and by our political leads can respond. so it's not, oh, it's not donald trump in 2020, coming out. that suddenly turns this around. we have a very beaver climate in which his comments found fertile soil. and by the way, he came out in 2016 after winning and said that there had been massive fraud. no evidence, not even the need to investigate. it became the 3000000 undocumented immigrants voted in california. that happened to be the margin of hillary clinton's popular vote, victory. but the climate, the broader climate, and i actually don't think that the elite language is what is, what starts this?
7:49 am
what are the 2 things about about covering donald trump? is that what people on read it are saying on monday he is saying it on thursday. he's very good. i'm sorry, i have to interrupt you because the people we've been wanting to hear from of reverend welfare, warnock is speaking. and let's see what he's going to say. so usually don't usually speaking let's go to that because i'm coming back good night. we got more to say, but i heard you all were having a party down here. listen, i wanted to drop by and say thank you. thank you. oh, ga, ga, ga, is showing up in such an amazing way in this moment. i mean that i, i can't even begin to tell you how proud i am of my state. i'm
7:50 am
a proud so georgia and i'm grateful for all the work that you all are putting in and i'll say more later. so i'm gonna try to defy baptist preacher gravity amount. talk to la. oh, this is listen, listen i i we, we always knew that this race will be close. and so ah, yeah, that's where we are. so you all just hang in there. i'm feeling
7:51 am
good. oh, i feel good and just hang in there and enjoy one another. i'm with you. oh and we know how much is at stake in this election. so thank you for being with me and i'm grateful that we are together every step of the way. and if you're going to hang in here for just a little while longer, we'll come back and say so more. oh, but in the meantime, i'm going to say to you what i say to my church every sunday. keep to say, i keep looking. oh.
7:52 am
warner giving a motivational speech there in georgia to all his supporters have been there for hours waiting to get good results. no results yet still a very, very tight race between herschel walker and raphael worn up there in georgia for the senate. let's show you how the senate is shaping up over all neck and neck. look at that. 45 republicans. 45 democrats could not be any closer. of course, republicans have got to get to 51 to win that majority democrats only need to get to 50 because they have a tie breaker vote from the vice president camelot harris. let's bring in john hender much going back now to that party that we've just seen. raphael walk here at he was the man of the night, wasn't it? when everyone there has been waiting for? he says he's feeling good, but is that optimism well placed on it?
7:53 am
don't seem to be well placed if you include a possible run off in feeling good and that's because it's about 90 percent of the vote counted so far within just you know, decimal points of one percentage point. so there would be a really big swing in the and present or so the vote for one of them to get 50 percent. and that's what they need tonight to declare victory. so i think what you heard there was not a concession fees. it was radically all warnock declaring that he's gonna stick this out. that is not over asking his people that stay here. he said he was going to defy baptist preacher gravity and not talk for a long time now. apparently saving up his words per later. but it's looking increasingly like we're going to have a run off run off would be on december sick. but he said, hey, hold off. he's not going to call it either way. right now,
7:54 am
he wants to come back later tonight and speak to this crowd again. i think that was just a bit of motivation to keep them in the room for now. this is still very much an alive race. could go either way, but it's looking increasingly less like either of these candidates is going to get the 50 percent that they need under georgia law to avoid or run off on december 6th . well, they start to pass the atmosphere overt stacy asians head courses when it done, she gave her concession speech just a short time ago. that's right. and she got solidly beaten by bryan him. it was her 2nd time. but it's important to understand . she has been fighting to expand voter rights for years. and one of the things she said was the democrats, we get elected more often in georgia if it were a fairer system. but what's happened between the last election and this one is it? georgia actually passed a more restrictive voting law it limit of
7:55 am
a number of dropboxes where people could drop their ballot in public it. it also limited the hours in which they could do that. it increased id requirements. so if you, if you voted by mail, you had to actually leave a copy of your id instead of a signature as in the past. and they even made it so restrictive that you couldn't give water to people waiting in line. why is that important? because it, herb in areas, areas were black, voters often hard places like here in atlanta, at the lines are longer and so people would come out and they give food and drink to those people. and that law was, was passed. and that portion of the law under the argument that, well, you could campaign to these people, your hurrying favor by giving them things in line with stacy evans was trying to expand voting to more people. the state is actually actually pretty strictly voting . and that may have affected the outcome,
7:56 am
whatever the truth about his loss is about what the polls predicted. so unlike florida, what we're seeing here is what we're seeing in a lot of other areas of the country where there's not this massive red wave yet there appears to be a kind of red ripple in certain places. but here in georgia, it's still possible the raphael worn out, which state pull this off, what it is true, pretty abrams last, that was definitely a republican when and one well within what the poles? mcfarland. okay, john, that many thanks. indeed, as i get is going to be a very long night. they're just getting another result in fort the senate race. this one in north carolina. we have ted bud taking the lead over sherry beesley and at taking the seat there in north carolina. that changes that $4545.00, a raised at $246.00 for the republicans. let's go
7:57 am
live to gabriel elizondo. he can talk to a little bit about this ted boss lead because it had been looking al, united of sherry busy was going to be the winner. yet democrats are watching this race closely. and this is wise because most of the polls were showing the ted bird had a very comfortable lead of 4 to 5 percent in the polls. before a tuesday, people went to the, went to the polls. and so, democrats are very pessimistic about north carolina going into tuesday. thought it was probably well out of reach. but as the boat started to come in, the democrat was doing very well. sherry beasley, but it looks like ted, but the 3 term congressman from north carolina is going to win. north carolina. the a p has called that. but the democrats certainly wanted to try to flip that seat. it was an open seat. it was a republican that retired, but it appears that the republicans will hold that ted,
7:58 am
but winning the state of north carolina there and will become the senator. but it was much closer than what the democrats expected. indeed. okay. gave us sunday, thanks very much indeed. we have been getting a rush of results these last hour or so we've got ted bought the republican winning north carolina senate j. d vance republican winning a high senate brian camp winning the republican governorship in georgia. so as st. republicans making these games, but the democrats are still very much of warming above expectations as well. do stay with us head on out to south. we back that a lot more and amendment across the u. s. millions of americans rely on conservative talk. radio shows for the news and entertainment. these are all real issues for real people. the listening post
7:59 am
tunes in and asks is, talk radio, divide in america. there is no room for capitalism or for how democracy work is really just acknowledging differences that, that are already there. if anything, conservative talk radio created, the republican party talked to of a to hawk special on that just eat up. spiraling costs. dwindling supplies. the shock is being felt around the world with the war in ukraine, triggering gas supply uncertainty. europeans bracing themselves for an unprecedented winter. al jazeera reports on the human costs of the winter energy crisis, canyon journalists and is to you to press freedom and justice. i have school thank s grange situations where someone can but get hung up keeping up on to pain clenotts investigating government corruption in the national health care system that was a chance, i confess, imagined because of my me that to santa cleaned africa,
