a declaration of war. yet at the same time, you have the palestinian authority, which continues its security coordination with israel. how, how, how is this explained? well, i can't, you know, i'm, i'm sorry, but to answer your question, i'm going to have to go back to the international community because these are the rules imposed by the world on the palestinian political system. this is not to excuse the shortcomings of the palestinian authority which are many but as far as security, coordination or so called security coordination. this is a requirement imposed by international actors by so called less than the block received to allow for the continued operation of the palestinian authority. these are the rules of the game set over, you know, since the signing of the interim agreements with israel in, in 1993. the world expects the palestinians to ensure that israeli,

their occupier are protected. it is a bizarre, illogical a historical arrangement that has been imposed on the palestinian people that creates a lot of internal tension in, in the palestinian society. but it is again imposed by the outside world. when the situation is in reverse one, we're talking about insuring palestinian civilian security. there is no comfortable international position. the israeli occupation authorities and security apparatus is do not make any kind of effort to ensure the protection of civilians. for example, from israeli settler attacks, which is their obligation under international law. but you don't see any international act or any country pushing israel, pressuring israel to do its minimum obligation in that sense. so we go back to that

well that in the palestinian people have been resisting occupation right over the southern decades that has not stopped. and the fact that we saw, i think let me just raise that and it's i'm talking about more resistance in the sense that will we, will we be seeing organized resistance like the 1st intifada, for example. no, i don't think that we will see something similar to the 1st intifada. the 1st and the father had a unified political leadership, but it came in a very different political context. i think what you see now was far more dangerous because of all the things that we talked about, the international component, the palestinian division, the, the audacity and the ferocity of, of israeli settler organizations and, and extreme racist groups that literally go out the streets and hunt down palestinians and an occupied east, jerusalem and even inside israel proper. so we were, you know, it's

a different ball game. it's the same relationship between occupied and occupier if you will. but i do think that will palestinians can count on and should be working on right now. in addition to restoring and repairing their own political entity, a by uniting is working on europe through solidarity groups in european capitals. these governments in europe must be held accountable by their own constituents. they must be held accountable for their double standards, further hypocrisy really. in terms of their positions towards israel, they cannot apply different standards. and if they choose to continue to talk about championing international law human rights, then they must hold israel accountable for its actions. they must treat the incoming government the way they would treat any other racist homophobic government . and that they have special and strategic relations with this government should be

boycotted by europe and others if they really want to continue having any kind of integrity or credibility regarding where they stand on international law and human rights and and palestinians will continue to do what they've done for 73 exist occupation in different ways and different manners. and now they have the added burden of trying to recover their polity from a broken you know, old, a group of old men who seemed to be so entrenched in their position and divided that they've left us with their wood, our backs, bear really to this occupation a kiva l t r. if we just kind of take a broader picture here and put it into context, how, how far are palestinians and israelis today from a political solution at the,
