to discuss metro intervention. following the coo last month. it's new, it's related civic node calls to reinstate the post president mohammed bassoon. the june 3rd is planning to charge him with treason echo all says it's giving diplomacy a chance, but all options are on the table to see the also is the sides. i'll stick here, but that is not going to die, but it was like this and we just wanted to tell them that a new phone, them about the result of the equal access of states on government to make sure that by all means of the level constitutional or that will be restored in the country. and this may seem to be best testimony to the child. stratford is following the main thing in the crime and send this update. some very strong loads from a defense chase. attending this close though to day summer. then across, but we know that echo honestly is placing
9:03 pm
a whole host of different problems. first of which is the lack of unity amongst echo of states themselves. for example, the very strong words from the president of the ivory coast on the back of last week's echo. i saw me in a boucher, he described the detention of new jersey president as nothing showed of terrorism. and promised to supply a battalion of troops to any kind of potential intervention force. but then of course, you've got to look at countries like going on, which you are facing serious opposition have by opposition, policies for any kind of military action is there is a similar kind of scenario in various countries across the region. then of course, there is the major security concern and causing a wide a war. we already know that but keen of paso and molly have said any military intervention in to share with constitute a declaration of war on themselves. and then of course, there are a whole host of all groups operating, right, the way across this,
9:04 pm
the hell region groups affiliated to iso lacardo that killed thousands of people for millions already to flee the homes. we were in northern governor on the border with the key and a 5, so they've gone and authorities that very concerned about any kind of made of tree intervention initiated because of what it could potentially mean to a security agreement. they have with a ministry leadership, the key to 5. so this is our report. there's an on easy com along with isolated boulder. people move back and forth across an invisible line. only widely spaced the markers demarcate with going to the keen of passive meet village life seems normal on the surface. the people here are afraid because on groups like why so i will call it a, have killed and destroyed villages, just a few kilometers away. the end of the week, sorry, as we have been there has been fighting on the other side of the hills. people from breaking a fossil flood into our village then went to
9:05 pm
a refugee camp. we are very afraid that the fighting may come here to the amount of somebody that has the villages. a border patrols pulse by from time to time. they've gone and says it's struggling to find the resources to police this area the vents in the why the region could make things even worse. the key, the 5. so this is amy military intervention by the west african regional book echo us application to lead his image would be a declaration of war on them to which could strengthen the secuity of thousands have gone and living alone this buddha. you were to get a sense of just how exposed this boulder is. the house is behind me are in the keen a fast so that will go on and will sort to use a phrase, the middle tree leadership in between the past. so saying that they doing a good job in preventing attacks inside gone a, they say that vital security cooperation,
9:06 pm
including the sharing of military intelligence, could well be jeopardized if that glass was to launch a ministry intervention against cooley. this inside major moving, going to an official say they need more resources and working with the key to pass those ministry june to initiate, fight against, all groups must not stop. so the issue is you cannot do it alone. and we are, do we need to wait on the basis? we're sharing information with them with that form and partners. sometimes you will have the same club house and cannot for so and house in common. and therefore, the cheese also has been as uh, with some of these informations. you an express concern over reports gone, it was forcibly diplomacy and refugees who would flip the on groups in class. so we're going to do noise. the claim filed on seeing similar problems facing countries like iraq or effective screening of people. so being members of all groups is
9:07 pm
a huge challenge. we get to receive them rescreen them. what is your name? what are you coming from? that is only what we can do. we cannot dig for that to find out who the person. and that is the glitzy. capital hood is room free with the wide start, the cost of these boulder land as they have done so millennia real life goes calmly on, but fear, friends, heavy among people, living at the foot of these hills child strap it i'll just arrow on the gonna book you know, fox of boulder, germany is calling for the european union to impose sanctions on the jazz coo need is dominic cane has this update from bullying. here in berlin, the governmental view is becoming clear. the foreign ministry saying on social media, the believes that now is the time to sanctions to be imposed on the military leadership . in the job, of course, it has precipitated the crisis the but crucially, the foreign ministry here saying that those sanctions need to be in post at the

e you level. which clearly suggests that $27.00 countries will have to agree about the tenor of those sections. how long would they be in full school? what kind of sanctions would they be? that's not clear right now. it's worth making. the point that on the bell books of foreign minister has held conversations a dialogue with other foreign ministers, certainly from, from, from the united states. precisely about this topic. so also with making the point to the cabinet colleagues, spend your shirts, the minister freakonomics cooperation and development is a self in west africa and it's being missing. echo athlete is again to see what for the cooperation that can be. but the state of the coming from the land is that the government here now believes the moment is right for you. sanctions to be imposed dominant cane houses, era bullying, villages in senegal. all morning, the depths of thousands of migrants who drowned in the atlantic sociate survived when

a fishing boat packed with migrants cap size knew the cape verde islands. the boat with around a 100 people on board left set a goal a month ago headed for the spanish canary islands. most of the dads were from the village of fast boy and sunny go. not from web as that. the people here in a small town, a fast boy, a morning they've got it outside this home. the family that lives the last 3 young men in the boat, in the house across the street, the family that lives that last to now it's common for people to travel from all over the region to this part of san a goal and continue genies in boats onto kate very day into the spanish canary islands. boom. this occasion we've learned from speaking to the people ahead of the majority of the people on the boat from here. so it's devastating for these communities also cause quite a lot of anger because despite set sail more than a month ago, normally people here say it takes no more than 7 days and

a boat sailing into the atlantic to reach k. they said they've known for some weeks that this boat was in trouble. they alerted the authorities here in san a go because they say did nothing. they didn't loan to rescue operation. it's on the, in the last couple of days, the people who have learned the sights of the relatives that caused some anger. people have protested the budding right block, set up along the main street. and so police came and brought them up. and the people here say in the middle of the night, police then broke into homes and snatched teenage most of the teenage boys about 20 of them and took them away. we tried to reach the police for comments. they haven't yet responded. people here angry, not just because of the lack of a rescue operation, but they say so yes, of a lack of investment from the government. and fishing, which is the main livelihood here. they say is become more or more difficult as far as the vessels take more or more of the fish from the she was of sending golden

atlanta and that he might seek to turn himself in next week. not this week. he has until next friday to do that. and. busy that would mean that he would have to go directly to the jail. we could probably see those black cars arriving and were told by the share of the, or the unlike any other case that he will be treated exactly like any other defender. that means fingerprints and a mug shot which has not been taken the 3 previous indictments at. so that also happens to be the week of the 1st republican debate of a debate on wednesday that trump says he will not attend, might have a rival event, but we could have a split screen moment with trump actually turning himself in on one side and the other republicans debating on the other side and we're told that ron de santis, the florida governor, has been advised by a political action committee which posted its advice on a website that we should defend trump in that for him. and there's a very simple reason. there are
9:13 pm
a lot of republicans who support him and do not support these charges. and the advice seems to suggest that if you go after trump, you're gonna lose a big portion of those republican voters. and this, and this is already a distant 2nd. as for those events that you were talking about, we have a judge tanya, chuck can in washington dc who was prosecuting trump for his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. she received a racist call. she's black and this is a, a voice message apparently in which someone threatens to kill her to kill other people instead of trump, it loses. we are going after you, as you mentioned, a texas woman was arrested for that. and then here in atlanta, the names of the grand jurors who voted to indict trump as were released along with their address is on right wing websites. and prosecutors tell me that it's common to get threats for prosecutors and judges, and that they know what they signed up for. my brother's a prosecutor in san diego, he says,
9:14 pm
process threats like that are fairly routine. but they say it's particularly egregious when this happens to grand jurors who are simply citizens who have agreed to this or in a public service capacity. in this case, those names and addresses were released in a way that they could be targeted. and we know that that has happened to pull workers and other officials before after they have crushed to trump and his allies . all right, thanks so much john. 100 in the rounds following this or is made the rad visit to savvy reviewing says relations. so right on track, his arrival in re on file as a trip to, to run by the sound. the foreign minister in june, china broke the deal to end the diplomatic wrist. and the stablish relations in march. the golf rival se, they'll work together to when conflicts in yemen, syria and the rock, those that jabante has more from to her on,

meeting in riyadh is being seen is another step towards moving the 2 countries closer to gather after years of not having any diplomatic relations. and we understand by what the foreign ministers have said that the both embassies into her on and re out are now fully operational door. so jabari algebra 0 to her on i'll just say the senior political analyst model on the charlotte says the reproach mom between saudi and iran seems to be working well so far. and it's supposed to be quite successful. and as far as certainly the skeptics uh, you know, has proven to be wrong on those. and clearly there is uh, 2 important pillars to disrupt personal, which means out on a real one is necessity. then you substitute to enter a 0 sum game at the end, the bleeding between the 2 countries. and so to the end of the damage that the 2 countries pull are i, station have done to themselves and to the region. and there is that desire to move

on to move forward towards something a bit and a mobile sort of issue with, for most countries to improve their standing in the region that has not really happened for them. when i pull water between the 2 has put allies to the economies and all of their from both some of the video and there's one as a number of other countries in the region. so want to know you can say that this is a really good deal just for uh, you know, stopping the, the damage is that most companies have done to both countries as well as to a number of countries in the region like human, like you watch, like live and on like palestine and so on, so forth. so if it doesn't do any good certainty within the harm, a tiny mall still ahead on the news out including the dissolves the j mine and me and my dozens of will cause the missing officer are

9:19 pm
and throughout the month it has been calling events to highlight the 75th anniversary of the universal declaration of human rights and in bassett, or linda thomas greenfield of the united states, described the situation in north korea as uh, the violations there as widespread in systemic and not only propping up the north korean regime, but also propping up its quest for a nuclear weapon which the security council has opposed an infection in the country for. so for the 1st time since 2014, another council members were concerned about the situation there to support this meeting. it requires a majority of council members to be on board, and there was enough support because of the deteriorating situation there for that to happen. un high commissioner for human rights, folk or turk, agreed that the situation there is bad. many of the violations i prefer to

9:21 pm
well saying that human rights is not the per view of the security council that should be held separately, the ambassador for china said that they would only increase tensions on the korean peninsula. this meeting russia went even farther, accusing the united states of using it as a distraction from its own. what he described as inflammatory actions. he referred to the military exercises that the united states has been undergoing in the area with china, with japan and south korea. so there any action in the security council would require not only a majority, but these countries not to veto actions. so as i said, just getting a meeting call the scene as an accomplishment, and more than 60 countries did sign on to a statement calling on the dpr k to change its behavior and promising to keep the spotlight on it. all right,
