listen to victims family lines, investigate license to you on out to 0. it was the gruesome mode or the shocks. malaysia to policeman was sentenced to death for shooting a young woman. i'm blowing up a party that was the killing link, timberly just highest office, and one on one east was exclusive. one of the convicted pillars breaks the silence to make some space for revelations. measurement a 00. we must speaks on out to 0. the strategy is taking 10 to 5 months, so we're at least as part of a society 10, tying up shows. and a filipinos has also been free the pocket of this, so just their lives to all. so coming up the 1st group of palestinian women and
8:01 pm
children to be freed from this for 80 prison. i'm to the deal a transfer has all of the exchange has families wait anxious things without sense. and the rest by itself, the weeks of phone calls. but the people have gone to the most onto the streets as the for the sci fi, it takes whole trucks bringing psycho h, including food and fuel roll across the southern boulevard $200.00 or expect to the end of the strip. every day of the see saw the plug into the program to doesn't and civilian captives released by him. so if being taken out of gaza as part of a cease fire agreement in gaza, 13 a 3. the women and children were transported to egypt by the red cross. group also includes 10 tie nationals. the filipinos captioned by a mass touring is attack on the southern is route last month read while israel has transfer processing in prison is out. so which el into
8:02 pm
a detention center near ramallah in preparation to release them as part of the deal that's bringing them onto the product, gets a james face to unpack of what we've been seeing over the past few hours. so it looks on the surface, at least as if this mutual exchange is happening all the time. the agreements that have been set in stone appear to be working with the sides of capital. obviously we understand the running some sort of come on sense behind the scenes to ensure to work smoothly. it seems to be a brittany pretty important day. and in terms of this full day deal, the 1st state seems to have gone the way it was planned and it was always going to be difficult. the always going to be potential problems. and that's why it was sequenced in this way. but each time something happens, then something would happen in route to. so what we saw was the seats fall, come into force in gauze at 7 o'clock, cause a time this morning. and then we've seen the next phase, which is the 2
8:03 pm
t policies. the as riley's and homos each doing what they said they would do. remember they submitted this so who they said they were going to release. so with regard to how mos that list was. so teen is re, these, we've seen pictures now of at least 2 women among those is right is who, who are being the name, by the way, the news sources, we believe that there are also quite a number of children among those the teen on the other side, we've seen palestinians who have been transferred from the jails where they were held to another jail called offer, which is where we think they will be released. they have not been released yet at this stage. and so that there is, you know, still i think some, some anxious about the fact that, that has that last phase or it hasn't happened. and the fact that which is there was recently been to the house of one of the people who was due to be really east.
8:04 pm
and it up that was in east jerusalem and found out the full family and actually being kicked out to a waiting to, to, to, to meet the lady is she was about to be released. and then in addition to the main deal, which also involved the a trucks going in and course much need rest, buy it for the people because we've also had a side deal involving these tie agricultural workers, one for the piano, 12 times one for the peanuts who have also been released, so i think something for both sides which can keep the momentum of this going and in terms of the tie and tiny nationals and filipino national. then something that is so to show it showing the rest of the world that this process is banning fruit and the important glue in this whole process. of course as being the i see, i see the intestinal committee of the red cross and leg crescent to helping facilitate the movements of these captive some across the board board or across the rafa crossing and then home woods into is really hands we believe according to
8:05 pm
these traded ministry that the concepts on now or inside astray, the tire tree, their identities can become known and further in more detail this and as we go on to this whole entire process. but as you said, questions remain about these 39 women and children. the palestinians have been detained in this rate. each arrows we have seen images of gas being fired outside that facility north or from iowa. a reminder of how delicate this process is mostly got a warning system system of. yeah. and that you talked about it earlier that to mom, send to that operations room is they describe it to the country for a ministry. they all using that. i think the experience they've had coming up to this moment, open negotiation with all the sides to now try and keep this process going. keep as i say, the momentum going up by having this operations room with real time links to,
8:06 pm
to the international committee of the red cross. we're the ones catalyzed us, the mediation. they do the facilitation on the ground and goals that they actually try and find the people pick them up from home, us and then transport them to these right. these that works at the, the international committee of the red cross has done for decades and was ends around the world. but they also have real time links to israel to most of these ready military. and on the other side to home us. the idea that is that they keep the diplomacy going actively, all of the time, so that if there's any problems and the thing looks like it could be something that's going to get out of hand. they can try and deal with it with both sides there and then a to stop. and the thing that could be rel, list for a process. and remember, the hope of cut off and the hope i think of many others in the international community is potentially this could be extended beyond 4 days. so that, of course it's not just about captives is about much needed aid in the form of hundreds of trucks. now storming across the border into goes, yeah,
8:07 pm
but never is there gonna be enough age in just for days. and even if it's extended for a few more days, given the real problems that exist in cause of the un is warning of starvation is warning of the outbreak of disease and in gaza. and this a, it seems old, still these writers insisting going through rafa, which is one small border crossing compared with the normal way the trucks go into garza, which comes through from israel into garza. a reference pretty much a choke point. and there's a limit to how many trucks you can get seen, but very much needed. i'm particularly the fuel, remember, until very, relatively recently israel wasn't allowing any fuel in the tool. and that's why we sold as awfully distressing pictures of the hospitals grinding to a halt the incubators with babies in them. the power of going yeah, fuel was the cost of major bone of contention for these, for the governments that were fees. of course the to i'm us, mike, getting
8:08 pm
a hands on fuel. none of that. the cost has been substantiated. james, many thanks. bye. oh, okay. well, we have a team of correspondence keeping us across the whole of the vitamin stuff. the sci fi progresses were in gaza. they occupied westbank, occupied east jerusalem and tel aviv. let's go 1st to saw the height of those in tel aviv where people been waiting for news about the release of the 1st group of captives. and so we believe now the week there is wood from these fairly miller tree that we will attempt. it's on now on a slightly slow move. you tell us yeah, that's right. it's been confirmed officially now by the minute tree and the sion but that they all find me now in israel a moment that so all of their families say they've been waiting for, even though some of them. what have san loved ones back here, but also everyone in this square that's become known as positive squares. says that this is what they've been looking for. i will say we all sing
8:09 pm
a few more smiles now and suddenly having been here for last few days and covering the situation here is feels that there's a little bit of a sense of relief and what you're hearing now is people here's thing and gathered, singing hallelujah, and this of course is because of all the news of them finally being here. now just to talk you through some of the things that are being said and is ready. the media certainly is that many people have been recognizing some of those people. some of the captive in those videos and find insights from what we understand and of course nothing is actually officially confirmed. is that 12 of those 13 captives come from one place uh that is known as nanos. and it seems that some of those includes elderly women that we've so far seen about 3 of them in the seventy's. and also interesting the one of the women who is with her 5 year old daughter, they're saying that the is not meant to have had claimed raw the sorry of
8:10 pm
correction. one of the cops is not the 4 to 4 year old, but one of the captives that i said that it's not meant to have had it's claim that they can't, but she dies in one of those ash. right. is that now saying, well, not clearly, not because she is one of those people that has been brought over, but you know, there's a lot of information circulating at the moment. i don't know if you can see quite behind me. it is quite some down now, but there was a big group of people gathered around a t v glued watching those moments where the cat saves were being transferred by the red cross through rough crossing that borders with egypt into egypt. then we will guessing was of the cops is being moved from rough crossing to the other is really crossing and finally crossing into israel. now the situation now, what do the pays will be the case is that they will be transported by a helicopter to one of 6 hospitals. 5 of those are in the tennessee of area. and it depends on the types of medical attention that they need. you'll have some that
8:11 pm
will be sent to a children's hospital, but they'll definitely be able to then meet with family members. it's still not clear in terms of names for those are all meant to be released tomorrow. whether that has come to fruition or not, they were supposed to receive the officially the names around the same time, but no confirmation yet as to whether that's happened. i'm sure i'm sorry, the coming days we will hear 1st hon testimony. so many of the people who are being captives in gaza. but i'm just wondering if you can remind us of the kind of pressure the authority government, particularly not know who has been on the in the run up to seeing the 1st of these captives returned to his room. a subsidy. well, uh yeah, we actually, so one of the, uh, will cabinet members, benny guns common visits he was joining and some of the pres, because today as thoughts, the day of rest is started in the evening,
8:12 pm
also known as sabbath full, jews had. and he was taking costs in those pres little, so he came here and he was a, went into a private room with some of those families for halston now. and he spoke to them. and he said that one of the ways forward to ensure that they could potentially release more of those. how is cops it is through military pressure? and this is really one of the. c public displays here in the square of meeting with those families. and it's important for those in charge to do so because they want to show the families and those the relatives of those house cops is that they are listening to them, given that that had been a days as much is from tel aviv all the way to west jerusalem's among things on so, so yes, the pressure has been immense on those making those big decisions on, on 5 minutes, the benjamin hand sound pretty good. this was a very difficult decision to make, but they, those that have made that decision belief that it was also necessary to the point
8:13 pm
that some of those that were in the cabinet that were against decided to change their mind during the votes and realize they said that this was in the national interest to bring back those how's cop to back to as well. or i have so many things that sort of products in tel aviv. okay, let's take a minute to chill stratford shoes outside. they offer a detention facility that's south of them all over the occupied westbank. we are expecting those prisoners to be released according to the cutoff for ministry. charles, who posted on x a short while ago. they have confirmed the release of those 39 women and children, but no sign of them yet. what are we seeing? the particularly given we saw him is of tear gas last time i spoke to you are just as right, no sign of those 39 prisoners yet we've just come over the telephone though with the head of the palestinian prison is a phase commission. he has told us that they're all posted in red cross. i'm going
8:14 pm
to seize now inside the jail, behind me inside all for waiting for the arrival of those so that you know, i in prison is but yeah, i mean last hour or so things i've got momentarily a mole of tents that what you cannot see on hundreds, if not thousands of people that have gathered along this hail and up in the buildings in front of me waiting for the release of these prisoners or certainly for them to appear on their up on fires that are being late across on the other side, down across the valley that as well. um, a lot of people waiting on that side and that was to you guys spied um towards some of the some of the usa that have been hurting rocks. so using slings, i am that the is why the soldiers that are in the, in, in the valley that we're getting reports of a couple of people who are being injured. we don't believe that those injuries to be to be extreme o o life threatening, but certainly there's uh, quite
8:15 pm
a heavy play presence of ambulance man here in expectation of crashes. but of course i'd be warnings by a sudden fall right. members of these ready government saying that the palestinians in the occupied territories should nor should be allowed to celebrate any a in any way the release of these, all these prisoners and coast. this comes as we've seen in recent recent weeks. so since those on the type of the subs attacks, why has these increasing rates right? the way across the, the occupied westbank by these, right? the middle tree every night taking more and more prisoners. so yeah, the situation is calm here, but there are still a lot of unanswered questions and some serious doubts here. still amongst many people as to whether this is actually going to happen. right. charles looked stunned by for us for the time being. i'll be back within the 2nd because i'd like to take a closer look at the 39 posting units that will be released on friday. so they've been transported from to israel to jail. so the off of prison that south of are
8:16 pm
monitoring. they'll fight westbank sweat. charles is standing by 24. the detainees approved for release all within 15 or children. many child for offenses such as storing stones. they come from areas across the occupied westbank, but most of them occupied east jerusalem, which means that effectively on the x ray, the police control. so charles, when this release does happen, and of course it will shine a spotlight on the practices inside x ray. the detention facilities inside is trading trails, especially when it comes to the holding of children, many of them as young as $1215.00 for simply $0.30. so that's why it was very much highlight the kind of conditions um that these use many of them as you say, as a, as young, some of them as, as young as 12, have to enjoy the facility you can see behind me is the only is riley prison inside
8:17 pm
the occupied westbank and many of the prisoners that are held there and then taken further taken into israel and held onto what's called administrative detention, which means that they can be held without charge without trial, many occasions, literally 4 years. so yes, this person is what before this deal will certainly highlight some of the human rights say i'm basically contradictions of the evidence and national little the committed by, as well against prisoners taken from, from the occupied territories. just to give you a little bit of a personal sort of a note on, on some of the storage of the families we've been speaking to as they wait for the release of these prison is one of them. we spoke to say that they had left chicago in preparation for coming down here and reaching that door to who they expect to be released. they said that they had been stopped setting these ready ministry check
8:18 pm
point of being heavily interrogated. that again highlighting the difficulties of palestinian space in terms of freedom of movement across the palestinian territories. another, another father, we spoke to a young man, 17 years old. his expect you to be released. he said that he was not going to be celebrating the release because so many thousands of people being in his was moffatt in the build up to this, this deal. so again, sort of highlighting the mixed emotions. here people are very much aware that this is the beginning, potentially, of, of already a 150 palestinian prison is being released over the next 4 days. we might see more off to that, but this initial stage, a 150. bear in mind that according to the palestinian prisoners association, there are around $8000.00 palestinians. garalie inside is riley giles, 3000 of those being arrested and detained in the last,
8:19 pm
in the last 7 weeks or so. since those time of the attacks on, on the type of the savings. i thought of these as i say nightly rates by the is riley miller. tre. so yeah. there's a $150.00 or so the $39.00 that we still hopefully expect to see over the next couple of hours, very much. just a small drop in the ocean in terms of the why the, the sheer amount of palestinians that will be remaining in is ready jails. say really for the forseeable future child set for the sick to us outside the off of prison, south remodeling the by the west bank. thank you for the update i can, that's bringing. i'm a jump dream. he's live for us in west jerusalem. i'm mohammad. i understand you have some more details relating to the compound behind you that may well play a role in this exchange. that's right, and the, let me tell you where we are. we're in front of a comp time. that house is the main police headquarters here in west jerusalem. now
8:20 pm
inside that compound our relatives of 6 palestinian women who have been released from prison. they are among those $39.00 palestinians that are currently in all fair prison. where you just heard charles stratford, he's in front of that prison and they occupied, westbank were told they are going to be transferred here later this evening. we're not sure exactly what time. now inside there are the relatives. we've spoken to some of them. they are trying to find out what the next steps will be when it comes to their relatives who are going to be released. as i said, these are 6 women among the convictions that they have that they've had among them are incitement on social media as well. as attempted stabbings and attempted framing a tax, they also have their legal representation there. now, what we've heard from the families of these 6 women is that they are extremely concerned at this hour about what is going to happen. they don't want to talk publicly to the media, they're not sure that they can't. and the reason they are so worried is because of
8:21 pm
the fact that these women are from occupied east jerusalem. and that means that they fall under the jurisdiction of the national security minister. that is the far right wing national security minister. if more been v or just yesterday, he had said that he will not allow any celebrations by palestinians in any area where his police force has jurisdiction so occupied east jerusalem would fall under that. and that is one of the reasons why these people are so concerned that we've heard this type of rhetoric from it's marvin over here in the past. there have been times in the past when palestinian prisoners had been released back to occupy these to respond. and they were not allowed to celebrate, but we're trying to find out more details. we would like to speak to some of the women who will be released formerly later this evening. but as of now much concern, a lot of worry from these relatives because they just don't know what's going to happen. they're obviously a bit relieved that they will be seeing their family members in the coming hours. but they just don't know what's going to happen next. what they'll be mohammad,
8:22 pm
but i'm afraid i'm going to have to jump in because we want to show our view is these pictures of posting in detainees being release. that's the scene that they offer a facility that's in close to a mile over the occupied westbank. we're talking about $159.00 women and youngsters . teenagers are to be released as a part of this. so all i'm going it's change this happening a short while after we got confirmation that the s really come to is held in gaza. went out on this friday towards soil having crossed through the raft, across thing, and then on into israel. so mohammed by to you an indication that this is old moving forward as expected to and that you've already suggested. some of these individuals may be heading in your direction. let's
8:23 pm
go ahead, right. maybe i go ahead just saying that yes, we are expecting them to be arriving within the next hour or 2. that's what we've heard from the relative. they don't know the precise time. obviously they are relieved that they will be seeing their relatives later this evening. but again, as i mentioned before, they are very concerned about what the next steps are. they just don't know what exactly the conditions will be for the release yet. that's why they're legal representation. is also with those family members inside this compound, behind this which houses the police headquarters in west or was the now obviously you see a security presence here. it seems to be more stepped up in the last few minutes and we expect that as those detainees who have now been released start getting closer. we will probably see more security because they want to keep this area cordoned off by having to. um, unfortunately, have to correct what we've just seen. obviously this is a fast moving situation. lots of images coming in from different places to assist exchange crimes for what we're actually looking at. are scenes of s,
8:24 pm
riley captives coming. what we believe is into s ray, the territory, these benches. the recent, of course, it is the international committee of the red cross, red crescent, the quote, a nice thing about exchange. so theme is ready, nationals, some of them potentially jewel nationals where you have to have that clarified 10 ties. one filipinos involved in that exchange as well, but not part of the main body of the deal. okay, well let's go now to where all of this fall. i haven't really makes the most sense honey, my moose, he joins us from con eunice and honey have, what is the reaction from where you will? how is this deal so far? being viewed
8:25 pm
yes. will this find the cautious the optimism, the ceasefire, or the pauses folding and, and this, they seem to have done that we, it was the plan we just, uh, saw the uh, the release of, of hostages and 1st uh the roof, had crossing into our under way and i believe the just have arrived into israel, but there is a mix of different feelings going on here among tally honey, i'm gonna, i'm afraid i'm just going to interrupt you for a 2nd because what we are looking at now are in z life pictures of the release of palestinian prisoners from the detention facilities a an offer. we are talking about $39.00 women and children detained an x ray, the jails. many of them are from the occupied westbank some from occupied east jerusalem to this. of course, the critical moment friends and relatives had gathered at the entrance of that
8:26 pm
facility. we had seen a short while ago, plumes of, of t a gas but now seems to have, have died down when and where they are being taken to next year. is yet to be clarified. of course, the hope is that they will be with the loved ones and that family members as soon as possible, honey, i wonder if i could come back to you, honey. of course, the think con eunice and the south of the cost this trip and how they ask the ceasefire really solves to, to take holds. it does have major implications for what people feel they are safe to be able to do. i understand that some people have been trying to return to their homes for they've been facing challenges for the same right? well, despite again the, the cost is optimism, the, the, the ceasefire, or the pause that seems to seems to be holding on to the have gone as it was a plan. there is a mix of both feelings here going on among palestinians that let's not forget the
8:27 pm
pop for the a days have been very difficult for everyone living in this a small in cloud. we're talking about palestinians experiencing a sheer amount of horror and a trauma, as a result of relentless air, a striking mazda compartment of the entire a gaza strip. but a people here are, are, are, are, are very, very concerned about the fact that we have 1700000 people who were, who evacuated the southern part of the gods too. but we're not allowed to, to go back to the north end. this one of the frustrating fox about the seeds fire as the people were expressing their joy and unhappiness and ability to move around in some how it really in, in, in, in the funding part of the gods trip in, in, in, in markets and shops. and i'm going to check on scatter family members, but it still, they are, they feel very upset about the fact that they were not in their move in to the
8:28 pm
northern part of the guster was not included or was not part of, of this, these fires in early or throughout the day where a palace city and attempted to get to what these really military has a drawn out of the seas, fire lines and attempt to just to move to the northern parts. they were shot at and weeks and there were reports about a 3 people were killed in that attempt and the civil injuries were reported from that. that area. it's very upsetting for so many. but again, the ceasefire offers an opportunity for, for people to uh to, to, to go out. they have given the fact that they were largely concerned about a moving freely, i have particularly in the northern part or he even here a designated supposedly designated safe area. a for palestinian as they weren't always a trask of dying from these really areas. so i can also offer is a good opportunity for people who lost a friend or a relative or a i'm from a loved one, just degrees of preferably and just do
8:29 pm
a go back on and pay the respect settings and proper prayers. because the, during the past 48 days at the form of a funeral procession. and then the proper burial was not permissible given state of the intensity. and the danger of the situation arise as a result of the ongoing, a bombardment, palestinians, particularly once a permanent, a practical ceasefire those 4 days as we we spoke to people, they said this is a preparation for another on slide. this is just a break for those ready military to resupply, to request to re position on a plan at 4 more, 4 more genocide and, and then this is a growing concerned despite the, the little bit of habit is that they are feeling now honey by mood and con eunice, many things for them. oh, okay, well let's get the view from occupied history. so now we'll reach helen's as standing by that rory. so what we're seeing played out on our screens and all the
8:30 pm
ground there. of course, this exchange grinding forward. it seems like things are happening on track as they should do. the mechanics seem to be working relatively smoothly so far now that the it's hard to comp, tips all back on us ready soil. is there any indication of what happens next? flight flight. what we understand the is ready kept. it was uh now no longer kept as it goes, they, uh they all 3 people that back in the home country, we have a list that is supposed to be released from the prime minister's office. benjamin, that's me all has always all of these people who they are. we have 3 different families where you have multiple generations of that family into the families. it's a mother and children, and one of the families, the one to families, 3 generations who have a child and mother, and then a grandmother. and then there were 5 individual elderly women,
