was flooding in decades reaches 140 i've had to go ahead and washington dc. we're talking a lot of the world's richest man. he's been ordered to appear in court. he's running a lottery, giving voters a $1000000.00. i'm trying to get real skill with this force is the world's highest paid athlete. so hey, a tiny wins. his 1st world series title with the los angeles villages. he's beat the new york yankees full games to one. the welcome to the news. we begin in lebanon, where the israeli army has carried out more strikes. the east of the country. smoke was seen rising above the ruins of the ancient city of bile take note insights of roman temples. the 3000 year old city, which is a unesco world heritage site, has been hit multiple times in september as well says it's targeting sites
6:02 pm
connected to a has a blog, but allows before those strikes is riley army issued, forced evacuation threats to people in the area for the 2nd day in a row, residents involve bank. i'm bold a and duties. were told that staying that puts them on the assemblies at risk of being boned to nobody's kind of take it probably minister because he has cold. the evacuation threats a will crime in southern level is riley will planes of lawyers to waive the strides on the city of tyre multiple blasts of rock. the historic poles that either these health industry says 6 paramedics were killed and 4 is rarely a tax in the south side of gold has more from the bed. now, in the baltic region, this really military is intensifying and expanding its bombardment in areas where hezbollah has that presence and where its support there is live. we are in a town in the east of the country and the ball with districts. in vidalia,
6:03 pm
as you can see behind me, massive destruction, at least 8 people killed in the strike among the dead. 2 children. and you can see of their clothes scattered on the floor of people here are, are in a state of shock. they say that the civilian casualties are mounting and the community that supports as the law is being is being punished now of hezbollah. m p said that as well, strategy has been to kill and destroyed, as well as not just a civilian infrastructure, but the story destroyed the group, but hezbollah remains defiant. it's a recently appointed secretary general named ask them saying that the group is ready to fight for you for days, weeks, and months if there is a need and, and you can see of this dog he, we saw him pick up the show of one of the children who was killed, i mean, i mean, you know, we've been covering this conflict for weeks now and it's children on average,
6:04 pm
on average. there are 2 children who are killed on a daily basis in the past 5 in the past 5 weeks alone. so the is around is escalating, but has bullets who is escalating, escalating both sides, are negotiating under fire where hearing comments from lebanon's prime minister. and as he mccarthy saying that we are doing everything we can and we should remain hopeful and optimistic about the cease fire. but the reality is the warring sides are still very far apart. and the main sticking point is the enforcement mechanism of human resolution. $170111.00 on says that it is fully committed to go to implementing this resolution, assessing the lebanese army alongside un troops along the border and has, while i'm pulling back, that in itself would be major concession by hezbollah. but what, but it is saying the parliament speaker is that the lebanese army will be in charge of enforcing that resolution. what is ro wants is something else that wants us to us. the united states have
6:05 pm
a role. it's also wants to be able to have the right to act when it feels threatened or it feels that there's any violation in other words, preventive bullet from rearming and regrouping. this is something loving on and by extension has the law is not going to accept because this is a violation of lebanon sovereignty. so we're still, it appears that we are still very far from reaching some sort of a ceasefire. which only means one thing we are going to see more a task like this, particularly in areas where hezbollah has a presence in the east of the country, the south of the country, as well as in the southern suburb of available. then there was a data ball back as well as spring and dosage bar. he's also in love with all that in the capital buried hi goal. so let's begin with these attacks entire what seems to have been targeted. well these really military issue of course, evacuation tribes earlier on thursday for at least 8 areas within the tire
6:06 pm
governance found as they again claiming, excuse me, that they were targeting has, well a infrastructure and personnel. but we know that these are civilian populated areas and we've seen at least 10 airstrikes being carried out in and around the historic, coastal city of tire throughout thursday. and of course, this was not the only area that was hit in the east of the country involve back at also evacuation threats issue the 2nd time in the past 24 hours. as we've seen, at least for air strikes in various positions in the fall back region. now, these 2 areas have come under attack intensely over the past week or so. and many analysts who are believe that this is the latest attends by israel to put more pressure on his beloved by attacking what is what needs to be areas of a stronghold and supporters of the on group. but both the areas above back and said
6:07 pm
tire are world unesco heritage sites and many liberties. believe that this is now cultural genocide and tense about to try to destroy this country's history. and it is riley military using it as a pretext to basically and felt more fear in supporters of the on group. of course, uh when we take uh attention to what's going on politically in the country. we talk to the potential cease by a dozen times. we meet with close to water told negotiations, and red lines are debates more often have behind close tools. certainly the caretaker part minister and i just because he gave an interview to a local tv station on wednesday evening during which she was more optimistic that he has been throughout today in a statement he release following
6:08 pm
a number of local diplomats afford this hers in the capital bare room, he said, what israel has been doing over the past 24 hours a while back and tire is tantamount to a war crime and this cannot continue. this is not a sign that israel is ready to have a serious discussion on any kind of an agreement or a ceasefire. but he did say that he has been speaking to the us on board for the middle east that a most. * said who is in at telling me the meeting with he is riley prime minister and he has that been speaking to the caretaker, probably to sir. similarly that there is a possibility that deal is within reach. but the reality on the ground is providing a different picture, dosage of bobby that for us in bayard. thank sold the update, the
6:09 pm
well, that sort of to watson fall. the grounding goals are whether these really ministry has lost a ground defensive in bet law. here in the knowles, an area that's been under is rarely siege for more than 3 weeks. he's really i'll be as full, some palestinians to abandon the homes. but even as a trying to leave that targeted, at least 45 palestinians have been killed in multiple ass price across the area since don't on says they've children amongst the dead, as well as a few possibly functioning hospitals and goals. and goal is, was come out while the hospital is really fine to just talk to the section of the facility. but medical supplies delivered by the world health organization well being stored. the attack destroyed most of the critically needed supplies that were being well received. only just days ago, my language has been struggling to provide medical assistance to the search of patients from israel's assault on the news.

that is new with a full palestinians to seek refuge, neighboring dollars, and city is also being talked in by these really military, at least for palestinians have been killed in an ass drawings on the crowded monkey to alicia hava neighborhood. the injured was rushed to the nearby i li hospital compos joins us now from the, in the central gaza, another green day with the israelis attacking central. i'm losing causa. yeah, it is. in fact, uh so hell a, the skyline of the northern parts of garza is incredibly covered with the smoke and dust youtube. it is very valid to peroration that have been ongoing for more than 5390 days. since that will begin back in october at 2023, we notes that it'd be has been a very clear intensification of strikes and land compartments in valley. a refugee

6:14 pm
speaking to him through a translator. so there will be a slight delay for view as watching out as ever right now. eat. thank you for joining us on the product. we know what difficult circumstances you're working under right now. what is the working functional status of the hospital right now after those is really a tax, a house, if it's on the, on the c, as a matter of fact, the situation income at the hospital is catastrophic. with the full meaning of the world, the hospital has no medical teams, the doctors, the surgeons, so to be the ex bone, these doctors have been rested by this way, the army and the so many medical themes, them all. then the 3 sons and doctors and nurses have been also
6:15 pm
arrested the oxygen station and solicit these collections have been destroyed. the water phone, the main will to pump in the hospital been also destroyed the the situation and none of them does is cut those off. but the people in northern does that cannot even find the basic needs of live to keep them surviving. the thing that we have is things that cannot keep people alive and businesses have been destroyed. the civil defense, the vehicles have been destroyed, no reading the medical services have been destroyed, have been serviced and given to the people and the hospitality. as i jump in the place we are on a little medicines, no medical supplies, the situation is catastrophic. this morning. the equipment
6:16 pm
and medical equipment store has been also destroyed. we'd assume these things 5, there's a go, but this way and the army has destroyed this school. and when some nurses try to help people from the method is trying to put the fire out of the block and goods. and unfortunately the situation is catastrophic as it didn't come out of the one house with the okay, let me just jump in there again. i know you have a lot to say i want to specifically focused on the hospital right now. i'm just on the hospital because we're fully aware of the circumstances around the hospital. so can you just tell me how many patients are you carrying full and how many medical staff do you actually have in the hospital right now? a yes or no? no 120 and then sick patient in
6:17 pm
the hospital of the allowed when the hospital the that inside the hospital. and so all of these number need surgeries, immediate surgeries and we cannot do that. the phone for the reason that i had said that to you before, the only 3 doctors, including 2 of them that they cannot do a surgery is to say, because they only treat the children and the on field number as a nurse is available. this is long enough for told to take care of 120 patients and one of the people inside the hospital it could, i just get in there again. i know that's a great day and you want the international audience to understand. and we do also
6:18 pm
try to appreciate how difficult uh, the circumstances all for you right now, but we would like to clarify as well. have you all the hospital received any aid in the last few days and can you remember when the hospital received any aid bar? what happened over the last 24 hours, the aid that was destroyed in the recent attack before that how much aid was there and was that of any use a non so yes, yes, 5 days a go. uh, delegation from the world health organization arrived for me with a small amount of fuel for the, the generations to operate and some medical supplies. but the same night immediately of the delegation left the house. but this is really me story. the
6:19 pm
hospital destroyed lot of things in the hospital. this sort of the mid that goes supplies that we received from the w h o delegation. and they have also the um, we also have the back to wait the, the, when the patients from the hospital to outside and not the guys that we will have to leave it. i'm afraid aide sub i. thank you so much for joining us. uh, we do appreciate your time and certainly being able to connect with you to make our audience understand the pressures the old facing right now. hopefully we will keep in touch with you in the days ahead. thank you. is there any thoughts as of right to create a new or sounds of refugee time to be occupied? westbank at least 3 palestinians have been killed and others have being arrested. is there any minute people does this? have destroyed rhodes and held palestinians at gun point, and a series of confrontations. the offensive comes after that even i draw in strong
6:20 pm
and calm to come, which kill 2 people, including a child. earlier, i'm the casa, is re, the fault, is kind of a 1000 assassination. into what i'm doing seen. yeah. how about sick? i was them out of my life in a supermarket, most people have been killed and it has been all rocket stripe load from 11 on into the north of israel, full with farm workers. and the 5th wasn't is riley from these. randy armies as the rocket landed in the boat, a town of material that's cool. save it to mount mcdonald. he's in the jordanian capital of mine covering the story for us because he's really government his band. i'll just say era from reporting in the occupied westbank and from within israel high mohammed, what more do we know about the circumstances around this attack and know that as well? just so right now the media is only media and military resources are talking about $6.00 and $7.00. some of them talk about 6 and some about 7 people that you know
6:21 pm
can easily including those. you mentioned in the tool for foreign workers. and one woman was killed, you know, to talk on the hyphen page. so it's, it's a, it's a hi, uh, tom, amongst vivian's today, a comfortable due to the situation in many cases during the last several weeks when his boss said they talk us don't do the military on resources. but some of the slides really to a set of them uh, is id soldiers. so today it's, that's always among the civilians and us because the i am told me isn't working in, in, not in what happened today. and also because these ladies have failed to intercept many of those records that talk about sets or could somehow be lost by his beloved today or north and live on on. aside from this, uh, the uh, meetings in general. so the meetings in, in uh, in between 5 minutes and it's in the whole add those to us and voice position on voice, almost fuck student and add that to my good actually,
6:22 pm
and attend yahoo during those meetings, she told them that the problem is not signed an agreement, the problem is the implementation of that to be made about to use that it has the right to do that implementation when the parties failed to do that. so basically, nothing yahoo is asking for a mandate on the agreement for each i have to be able to continue to select the lab on, even when the 2 sides have signed a disagreement with all that for us in about. thank you. the, the death toll in spain slash floods in the southeast of the country has no reason to. $140.00 calls have been stranded on the bridge is on the outskirts of valencia . and daybreak is strewn across neighborhoods. the prime minister petro sanchez, has appealed to people in flood stricken areas to stay at home. it's a lot to,
6:23 pm
i would like to tell the people who live in the provincial valencia, and also in custody on the stone continues. so police, the tools do not go out and listen to all the warnings from the emergency services . i'm a senior guy. i can join us now live from valencia. hi sonya, i mean that can be no total of a clear operation. while a rescue operation continues and the threats of yet more about the weather, but that so i mean it's something which is certainly waiting very heavily on people's minds here. now, just to give you some context to, we are 15 minutes away from where some of those was seems as scenes of destruction of the flooding pool was this. uh, the city here itself is functioning normally, which is 15 minutes down the road that also chaos off the devastation time and
6:24 pm
again so many people told us that for 2 days, they did not see anyone from any rescue services, a tool that they received no information and they eventually did get alerts, but those a lot sounded on the phones off to the flooding had occurred. a great deal of sense of frustration, of course, fear as well. and the sense that no one was coming to help them entire neighborhoods that just completely cut off from the rest of the city. extraordinary . when you think of really how valencia is it's, it's a huge city is one of the most important cities in spain. and yet just a few minutes drive outside. it's almost as if it was a completely, all the world, a catastrophe. and people saying that it was almost like being in some kind of serial dream where they weren't going to be rescued a tool. and of course, with his desk without desktops rising as well as expected. there is the fear, of course, that more dead bodies are going to be coming to the surface as well as the rescue
6:25 pm
teams are now going into those places where people have been unable to go to. so many people, as we've already seen earlier in the day that are trapped in places like underground a garbage is where people is. neighborhoods have been inundated or unable to access those areas. sonya, thanks very much for the update because we continue to monitor events with you from valencia. thank you. to make some big supposition. lead oven a seal molten. de la says that nationwide. protest must continue. hundreds of people have taken to the streets since the governing policies. candidate daniel champ, it was declared the winner of the presidential elections 3 weeks ago. at least 11 people have been killed during violent confrontations with police malcolm web jones on line from mos on beaks capital, the to, to what's happening that and elsewhere across the country. minutes ago these right place to slide the gas at some demonstrates is we don't

6:27 pm
a bade all over the country. this is just a one of what's planned to be a 7 day strike. of course, the opposition seemed to have made the voices very loud, very clear about what they want to do. and you sort of suggested about what they all doing right now. but what you think they might do politically or legally is there any avenue open to them? on that front so they've already submitted a partitions to the electoral commission to see thing the results. they've submitted. evidence from the polling stations. they say, as do observe isn't right groups that the result published by the actual commission quite simply contradicts the data from the polling stations. however, the constitutional counsel that decides on these masses uh, is uh, appointed by fairly my by the ruling policy and a comparable situation. a year ago, following municipal elections. when the constitutional council was presented with papers from polling stations showing results,
6:28 pm
they declined to look at the evidence and they were, why do you seem to basically invest the election results denying? but on the same, on delani, the may a ship of the food 7, installing a fully my man. the electoral commission denied those irregularities, and for the night denies that it controls the electoral commission. but while the legal process is being consumed, the plan, according to milan, a, is a 7 day sites will shut down. but according to many of the protest is their interpretation of that is that the end of the 7 days, so much to the presidential palace and change the government. welcome, thanks very much for the update that malika web in the mos on be capital up to 2. a still head here. all the al jazeera news is how in detroit, michigan, some polls suggest, but explaining something that could hurt her chance of winning the presidency. then took, claudio says lunch is the city are in trouble. find out why in schools with pizza

book about to be able to do that and use out with me. so rob, the reminder of all told stories is right, and that's kind of it strikes on the ancient city of bomb back closing smoke to roy's eva unesco, wells heritage side. this comes on to the army issued new focused evaluation threats in the area. these really ministry has always taken out a defensive invest lie in the knolls, palestinians are being forced to abandon their homes. but even as a trying to leave the targets its kind in spain, the death toll from flash floods in the southeast of the country has risen to 145 minutes to address sanchez's feelings of people inside stricken areas to stay at home. the well, kind of out until election day in the united states is old and i'll just say right,
6:31 pm
is bringing use special coverage sites for more on that. let's call say if it's a particular lane in washington dc. patsy. thank you. hello sir. and welcome to washington, dc lie from our roof tops to overlooking the white house. it's real in a moment we'll be discussing how racial tension has become an issue in this election with our panel of guests. but 1st, eli mosque has ignored a summons issued by philadelphia as district attorney over his 1000000 dollar election give away. musk has been on a drive to register voters and key battleground states. something critics are, you could get republican candidates. donald trump, an unfair advantage. district attorney larry crest are filed for an emergency in junction against musk on monday, said he must be stopped this morning. a crash or was here to testify? you almost didn't show we are going to
6:32 pm
handle this case. we continue to handle this case on mischief night long boss and his pack amera pack file papers from this course to federal course. and we will proceed to federal court and we will address the issues there and see about our state court the so i can't hear anything but i by can, is in pittsburgh, pennsylvania, easily the most important of the 7 swing states. so mike, what exactly is this case about? well, 11 months started a sweep steak in terms of which individuals could sign the petition supporting the 1st and 2nd amendment. so right to free speech,
6:33 pm
the right to gun ownership. and then they would be randomly selected individuals who would get $1000000.00 paid by muskets political action committee. so that was the plan. however, the for the, the pennsylvania da, the philadelphia da, has started that this is in, took the election interference at contravenes laws in pennsylvania consuming in legal luxury. so the pro, this case to a judge, to stop this competition that is underway at present and must though have been notified to appear in court. he did not appear. so questions arise as to what the next step is going to be about. the district attorney attempting to get this shipped down before the election next week. my social is attempting to get it moved to a federal court, which would mean that the competition would be able to continue until the election
6:34 pm
. you know, like the thing is that musk has so many companies. he has billions of dollars with the government contracts. he said himself that he's in trouble of harris wins. is that why is he getting so involved in the campaign? it's a very good question and he came out in support of donald trump off to the assassination attempt. it's the full met president and he's gone all in the he's the night at some $120000000.00 to the america political action committee. that's a huge amount of money and could have an impact on the race he has chosen to treat to take place in the 7 battleground states, the states which i'm most likely contested. and it is very clear that he's attempting to break any uh, the spaces in any of those particular states. so he's getting right into the
6:35 pm
campaign, getting heavily involved in return. well, trump has promised in some vague position, should come within form and you government has some kind of overseer of economic matthews. but certainly the mask has gone fully and for the support of donald trump . well like you have to say this has been a very interesting election and it continues to be so. so it with just 5 days left until the us presidential election. donald trump and campbell of harris are on the final leg of their campaign. thursday is set to be another busy day for both presidential candidates. donald trump will hold rallies in new mexico and nevada. complet harris will also campaign in nevada, in the cities of reno and las vegas. both also also travel to the swing state of arizona and lots of frequent flyer miles there. arizona is one of the southern major battleground states expected to decide this year's presidential race serial. then you then yeah, explains why it's important for both harris and trump and explains what their
6:36 pm
strategy is and that state. let's go straight to the us electro map and this time we're talking about arizona and it's 11 electoral votes. it is now a closely contested state, and that by the way, is a pretty new development because the more than 70 years, arizona voted republican in every election, but one until 2020, and one of the biggest election night surprises. 4 years ago, joe biden flipped the state, putting it into the democratic, call him with a majority of just over 10000 votes. so how did he do it? earlier elections had actually hinted that things were changing in the states from carried our zone in 2016. but by a smaller margin, the mitt romney had in 2012 a pay attention to that pale red section there. most of the attention is on maricopa county homes. of the state capital of phoenix, and about 62 percent of arizona population lives there, a bite and one by shifting it into his column by about 45000 votes. he also
6:37 pm
needed a good showing here in pima county home to the state, 2nd largest city, tucson. it's a democratic stronghold. biden took nearly 60 percent of the vote in pima, his big when in pima balanced out, the other counties that are small, but we're trump wins by a margin of 2 or $3.00 to $1.00. without pima biden's, narrow victory in maricopa would not have counted for much with all that said, what's the strategy for both harris and trump in arizona? well, there's a strong latino presence in the state. so let's start there. latino is are about one 3rd of arizona's motors, and this is how their party affiliation breaks down. they traditionally lean democratic, but ahead of this year's election, polls have consistently shown that some latino is especially men, are moving towards trump, arizona, as a border states. so immigration is a big issue right here, but people also care about all the same things that we see talking, voters lists nationwide. that is the cost of living jobs,
6:38 pm
lack of affordable housing, health care and crime. and remember what i said earlier about biting, running up the score and pima county. well, trump will be trying to offset pima with big wins in the rest of arizona. and that includes turning out people who don't usually vote, so called low propensity voters, is given to raise us in margin of victory 4 years ago. getting that boat out could be critical to winning arizona. in the spring state of michigan black americans, voters make up about 13 percent of the electorate in 202092 percent supported joe biden. but so far this year, harris seems to be running way behind that benchmark. joining me now is teresa bow . she is in detroit that battleground state in michigan, theresa it's, i don't know if anyone trust the polls anymore. they've just been so all over the place. does it feel on the ground like she's losing support? was that key demographic?
6:39 pm
well i'm, you're writing phones of an early voting sense, or if people have been coming in here, suddenly i've been talking to all of them. and all of them have told me that they're still voting for cabinet harry's that she represents their interests. what's interesting, what michigan state is this has been considered a part of the blue wall states that traditionally have voted for the democratic party until 2016 when donald trump one and that's a 1000 votes. then he was defeated here by joe biden. so in the title election, such as this one, the 15 electric bills that michigan has put me across the road and who makes it looking for lots of people here. there's lots of concerns among members of this community that there could be violence that there could be misinformation that there could be fake news. that's why, maybe holding stations here in the true, we'd have seen their security increase. let prove windows have been installed in many of this posting stations after the protests, the photos donuts from the feet in this state. what, what to play across
6:40 pm
a role are to a constituent, 6 here. first one is the arab american voted, has the largest power of american population in the country. they are very angry right now with the current administration condemning the united states supports for this well, and you going more in gaza, but also the african american vote. so we are around 13 percent 80 percent around 13 percent of the voters in the states. we've been talking to a lot of people here that express their opinions about what's going on in this country right now. and this is obviously the dance and music at these renaissance school in detroit. but there's a much more serious message to the celebration, a push to convince black american voters to go to the polls in the course of battle, ground state of michigan. there's 2 main boating blocks in america who voted dependently,
6:41 pm
who both consisted. that's black women. and the 2nd one is black me. i'm sure they're going to vote over whelmed english in their own interest. their interests are a quality education and health care among other issues, right. data shows, black communities in michigan have struggled with the legacy of discrimination. segregation, poverty had in many cases, high unemployment rates. this was that you can see here is called the bird. what was it was built back in the 1940, some men to separate a wide neighborhood from a black one that was located right here, around 80 percent of the african americans here in michigan. vote for the democratic party. and many of them fear that if donald trump wins this selection, the racism, and discrimination the face would get worse. i work the i work from home, a b shak says he grew up right next to this wall. he says, the corner of his can continues to define what he can and cannot do. or, you know,
6:42 pm
we have all the economic things but that's, that's what it is for everybody in this country. you know, people who have to, like i said, live work, right. the kids and all that stuff, but when you get specific to the black american community, the african american community, it is about it is about safety. is about being looked at in a certain way. but even though most african americans will vote for cabinet harry's late disposed to, she's lagging behind among black men, especially in the countries forest areas. some readers, as the democratic party has made mistakes when appealing to black voters that turn out that the democratic party needs to give it an insurance political insurance policy against trump. i don't believe he is in place as we speak right now. i fear that because of the lack of understanding of the class to bad and black america that the hair is campaign may have missed the boat. one thing is certain,
6:43 pm
the african american vote will play across a role in the swing state of michigan in an election where every boat counts 80. so we'll just see the detroit michigan. pamela harris has repeatedly accused her political arrival of so in hate and divisions, usually including using brace to divide america. trump has consistently made a racist instead of public statements on the campaign trail, often to the minority groups against each other. his comments are off and aimed at migrants and minority groups, and he's also issued personal attacks against connelly harris. here's an example of some of them she was o is of indian heritage and she was only promoting indian heritage. i didn't know she was black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn black and now she wants to be known as black. if harris wins a never ending stream of illegal alien rape is m. s. 13 animals and job predators

will flood into your communities, the ruining our country. and it's true that destroying the blood of our country, that's what they're doing to destroying our country. they're eating the dogs, the people that came in, they're eating the catch, their eating. they're eating the pets of the people that lives there, the same old sho divisiveness, and the disrespect. and let me just say the american people deserve better. so let's explore the issue of racial tension and hate speech and its impact on this election campaign with our panel of guess i'm joined by maja berry who is the executive director of the aero american institute. and we also have jameel scott and assistant professor at georgetown university as a specialist on gender and race of ladies. thank you so much for joining us. so
6:45 pm
we're all watching. let's do those clips. you can hear them too. and we're all just going how 1st you do, you know, how did we get here? well, i think we get here after the obama election. right, that we get to this place of people being afraid about what's changed in america, which allowed for this trump presidency. and allowed for his rhetoric that started during that campaign to become really prominent. the negative saying is the people saying things that were left on said these negative racial attitudes that were under the surface. but are now people are more willing to say the choir parts out loud. and so we see that in the rhetoric half a day in just because brock obama was black and his only scandal was that he wore 10 suit. um, yeah, but i, i get your point. so what are the things my i wanted to ask you about when the to
6:46 pm
1st assess sedation attempt happened on donald trump. we heard leaders across the both sides saying that the democrats, republicans, they really need to tone it down. republicans accused couple of harris and jo, binds rather of causing the attempted assassination. is their equivalent here? no. i think everybody needs to turn down the political rhetoric for sure, but, but i think it was extraordinary. a suggest that the democrats were engaging in language that was targeting and marginalizing individuals to the point where somebody would want to commit an active political violence. look, political violence and the idea that it's increasingly part of the way we talk about or issues is really dangerous to our basic foundational democracy. and it must be addressed. election workers should not have to face the kinds of threats that they're facing. the kind of protection that you're seeing at polling places is concerning. certain communities have different relationships of law enforcement. i worry about invisible law enforcement presence at pulling place. that's right. so that the issue is a significant one, but we,
6:47 pm
we really have to be honest with how we got here. i mean, i think my colleague is right when she points out to america has a reaction to the election to the 1st black president in this country. america, as a country, has a reaction to data that comes out that says, suggest at certain points, census data tells us that it is a certain point. it will become minority majority, right? that there will be a flip in that i know that number, it's 24 is coming right up. but i want to talk about basically where we are when it comes to racial justice in this country. we cannot talk about the trump presidency without the george floyd without the black lodge matter approaches without the meet the massive correct down that he did. so need in the police national guard, it was. yeah, we remember those, but i wanted to ask you to me a f. are we, where are we with racial justice? because i was looking at some of the statistics. i mean there's what people are 3 times more or less in prison than white people. so we haven't come as far as i would like to see and i think many in academia would like to see or at least more
6:48 pm
generally in the, in the us. so folks who are affected by we haven't come as far as we we need to. um, unfortunately, we are in a place where people assume that you know, the, the presidency over on a former president obama made this large scale change of what outcomes would be for people of color. and that's just not the case. folks are being large scale affected by a number of negative outcomes in the united states, and that's not changing. and it's frankly, it's getting worse when we think about uh, economic inequality being on the rise and how that affects communities of color. in particular, my, i don't have a lot of time, but real quick to you. how do we stop this? because i've never seen a campaign where people, americans hate other americans this intentionally. look, we begin to see an increase in hate crime, death like tangible data that tells us of the increasing hate crime from the 2016 presidential election on to now we've been breaking record after record after
6:49 pm
record each year with actual hit groups taking place. one of the key ways to stop it is that policy makers, key officials, cannot stand behind the podium of a seal, a podium of the senate, a podium of the house, and engage in speech that is hateful and target specific in communities. and you can have policy the disagreements, in fact, we must have policy and agreements. but what we can't do is dwayne policy disagreements on specific communities and the kinds of things that we saw in madison square garden. a lot of attention was paid to the comedian, which is fine, deplorable. that's not the concern i had. the concern i had, frankly, was beyond that, the fact that you had the presidential candidate talk about the vice president the way that he did. you've had a former mayor of new york city saying that palestinians are trained to kill people from the age of 2. you have the kind of the vitriol that takes place from official policy makers, folks that are leading, we're supposed to elect them to office that has to change because i think that does give folks this idea that this is acceptable to sports and it's not. so it's real
6:50 pm
due to your, to that point, does it stop in less? there's consequences. i mean, i think there does have to be some level of a consequence. we really have to think about how a media and a lease um regulate themselves in this moment where when it is really hollow as moment where it's not just about where we are in our politics and people really hate each other. on the other side is that matters that a lease are inflaming these conversations and so we really need them to hold each other accountable for the conversations that they're having. and to bring us back to accomplish. you know what we've been talking about that hasn't happened yet. but we shall see that is it for our special coverage here from the team in washington that we're going to have it back to. so and the rest of the team in the huh. like service patsy. still head here on the oh, does it renews up and running,

will be probably the longest and to be able to get to know this teen my 1st year and experience winning a world series has been a tremendous on a we've been able to get through the regular season, i think because of the strength of this team, this organization. and the success of the postseason is very similar to how we were able to pull it off during the regular season. and again, the strength of the organization extremely on that to be part of this but these are the scenes, you know, tony's hometown of issue with funds gather to see that he wrote and action. not surprisingly, his involvement aside to record tv ratings in japan to give me some idea of the scale 15900000 change in for game to the series, which is 12 percent of the japanese population and actually move you is sending the united states in the m b a brawny james has sunk. his 1st ball skit for the lake is the is on the lake is legend le
