a ceasefire. d. families of the captives have protested in tennessee, demanding the prime minister on the sci fi games. also the solid. i'm temperature of the i'll bring of the latest news on how you of a conference is going to affect the dressers level and yours and other organizations environment that i've driven ash with the support. please don't touch, makes heidi anticipations. davie to the loss on to the latest calling when it talks about trade vs the less than a month after the si. fi between israel and how mosse came into affected future seems on certain odyssey needs. and guys, i see they're scared of what will happen if the fraud drive agreements collapses us present. donald trump has suggested letting quote help breakout in the gaza strip.
10:02 am
and that's all the remaining is really captives are released by saturday. and i would say, cancel it and all bets are off and let hell break out. i'd say they ought to be returned by 12 o'clock on saturday. and if they're not return, all of them, not in dribs and drabs, not 2 and one, and 3 and 4 a do saturday at 12 o'clock. and after that i would say all hell is going to break out to his comments, come after him. i said it was the laying the next exchange of captives. so promising in prison is, is accused israel of widespread violations of the deal. that announcement triggered over night protests and tel aviv families. so the captive joined by hundreds of these really is demanding the government uphold the agreement. these really defense minister is around cod says place the military on high alert for any possible
10:03 am
scenario in gaza. he's also warned israel will not allow a repeat of the october the 7th attacks. and we have to correspondence following this story. normal day is in jordan's capital. i'm on 1st. let's go to honey. my hold. who's in gaza city for his honey. the people of guys a waking up to renewed on certain te, tell us about the mood on the ground. and just how worried are people that yes, well very difficult morning. follow the ad in the past. the few days we were ready spot it. how do you happen to send a assignment of returning back to the northern part and got the city started to be that we as people found rubble, then the difficulties of living conditions on the ground here, the live to come in part as of this morning. this excitement and habit as of coming back completely gone because of the, the statements made by the, of the american president donald trump, about he'll be breaking out and, and the return of the war and the collapse of the ceasefire that has been coupled
10:04 am
with other statements and consistent with what is really official, the military and the political level been talking about for the past a few days that i see that captains are released, the war is going to resume. now this general sense here, this is for the 1st time including bias solve i am worried very much about the return of the war, the return of the genocide, the lack of the ground. and i'll just give you a sense of why this worries is a growing why the spheres? because we are in a location where it's at some point, it's house 3 schools to hospitals, and many of the residential buildings right now. we're in the middle of this area that is just a pile of rubble. this is the fear that people are worried about not only just the destruction, but also the mask. when i return to the genocide, the lack, the return for the war, a collapse of the fees, fire means daily on daily basis. palestinians are going to die because of the unpredictable fall in bonds targeting them in their homes and their 10 site. we
10:05 am
were approached by a family here in the 10 site in jaime, and were asking way where it is that we haven't breasted the properly. since we set up this test, we haven't read properly in the past due to the worst thing with our conditions. and now we are waking up to this horrible news on the ceasefire. collapsing do we? should we go back dollars and displacement sites in central area? and i'm also should we say, is it safe to continue to stay here? these are many of the questions that displays people's already asking, after 15 months of devastation and also the pos been, these are just really trying to rebuild their shut of lives, right? and under the cease fire agreement, tiny aid is supposed to be coming into guys that are a trunk still coming into the streets. the, the not as the amount that have been agreed upon. and this is one of the things that being cited
10:06 am
by how much that the delay and implementing the terms of the the ceasefire agreement, including the amount of it's coming in. we're talking about much of the basic necessities, including the food supplies, the fuel and water, and other the basics. the fact that is like the 60000 mobile homes that people haven't seen a single one of them here. the 200000 students that were supposed to come in right away as soon as people return to their homes and gardens the northern parts. and in fact, what people are doing now they were they resort to setting up their own tents using basic elements. the pieces of wood that they collect, the plastic shades at the trying to buy at the very high price. so everything is on the ground is a quite difficult just earlier this morning. a couple of the trucks were spotted on the way in the central and the southern part of district. but again, there is no indication of how many trucks we normally see,
10:07 am
and it's coming in the late afternoon. but as of this moment, no indications of how many trucks are going to be coming in. there's already a short fall on the number of a truck that we are. we are 35 deal of the trucks shorter than what they agreed upon. there are 3500 trucks, shorter of what i agreed upon of from the 12008 trucks, including the food on the water and the other basic necessities, as well as 10 small buy homes haven't been allowed in yet. thank you very much, honey. for bringing us the latest they have from gaza. honey, my moved in guys. a city as i'll speak to, nor dave who's in amman, jordan noise, and i'm on because he's really government and the policy me know, 40 of find out just the air from a 14 in israel in the occupied westbank. so now what are we hearing from these really is this morning, are they on a war footing again? the so slowly these early cabinet, the security cabinet is due to meet later on today and are ready. the families of
10:08 am
israeli captives have blocked the road in jerusalem to protest what they say is nothing. yeah. host attempts to do rail. the cease fire agreement. there's a lot of accusations flying around, but really the opposition is backing the families of the captives. they say that that's in y'all's being cynical, he's exploiting, oldest support coming out of washington. all these statements coming out of donald trump, the us president, in order to shutter the, the ceasefire agreement, that the hopes of the families of is really captive to see their loved ones back home with them. so it is quite 10 so that there is that kind of pressure on that's and yahoo. but he has really ignored that public sentiment for the entire duration of the war on gaza. and it remains to be seen whether his cabinets would really feel compelled to meet the mediators half way to allow more of that assistance. but how he was saying is being withheld to allow it into gaza,
10:09 am
to make sure that the cease fire agreement continues. and that the captives were supposed to be released are released on saturday. no. meanwhile jordan's king is meeting donald trump at the white house later on tuesday of the jordanians. i trading a very tight rope here, aren't they? what challenges are now posed by donald trump? so yeah, this is going to be a very, very tough conversation for the jordanian monarch. are ready before this meeting. the us president has threatened that if jordan doesn't comply with his vision, which world leaders have condemned unopposed as trying to mount to ethnic cleansing . that he would consider that he might impose sanctions on jordan. jordan, of course being one of the largest recipients of us assistance in the region. it relies heavily on for an 8. this is not a situation and the government wants to find itself and, but at the same time,
10:10 am
it is nearly politically impossible for jordan to be seen as going along with the idea of uprooting palestinians from gaza or anywhere else, especially given what's happening in the occupied was back and we've been speaking to jordanians. you former officials and analyst at, throughout the past few days and, and really there is very serious concern support for the king and trying to push back at trump, but knowledge, an acknowledgement that this is there might be tough choices. ahead and we've prepared this report for more information. jordan has long been a close ally of the united states. now as king of the law heads the washington for talks with president donald trump. states and risks couldn't be hire. trump has struck the world with his plan to take over garza and forcibly displaced its population to jordan and egypt a, a proposal roundly rejected by both countries. despite trump's assertion,
10:11 am
the jordan would agree, eventually they're going to do it. okay, we do a lot for them and they're going to do it. there's also the threat of mast force displacement from the occupied westbank looming, large as well as of right wing government wants to annex the territory and is betting on a green light from washington. king of the law has strong public backing in opposing the displacement of the palestinians. public anger in jordan is tangible when i have neither trunk, it's in yahoo or anyone else have the right to displace palestinians from their lands and create an alternative homeland for them. but it's not clear just how much american pressure jordan can resist. it's relied heavily on foreign aid. in the past 4 years, the country received over $5000000000.00 in us assistance, making it one of the largest recipients of american aid in the region. jordan is
10:12 am
also part of the extensive us back security structure in this region, accepting the displacement of palestinians and annexation of the land would be a political disaster for jordan. but upsetting trump could also come at a high price of the country's economy and stability. joe then finds itself like many other countries in the region of decision by new ideas that are that border on catch 22. uh well, no matter what choice can we make. uh, there is a certain element of risk involved. but yet we have to defend though of our existence. thing of the law is the 1st era of leader to meet trump, since he took office last month. the entire region is watching how the jordanian monarch will maneuver through these political land lines. not all the elevator i'm to discuss these latest developments. joining us now is i've delilah area and
10:13 am
associate professor at georgetown university here in contact. thank you so much. abdullah for being with us. we'll talk about the jordanian president's visit to washington in a moment. but i wanted to get your thoughts 1st on way you see the sci fi headed now. is it going to break down, or can it still be salvage? well, it can still be salvaged if uh, you know, if israel a tier, so its commitments and this is essentially what we've been hearing since the very beginning that there. but have been so many different violations from the killings of palestinians up to a 110 power students and guys have been killed since the ceasefire began. which completely negates even the concept of ideas of a cease fire. the entry of much, much critically needed 8, including, you know, 10 said housing for all of the displaced hundreds of thousands of people within gaza. there's also even to the basics of the equipment that's necessary to recover the bodies of thousands of palestinians who've been buried under the rubble for the last 15 months. so there's so many different elements of this deal that have been committed to from the very beginning that have been violated. over the course of the last few weeks,
10:14 am
i must as decision to delay the release of the next next group of tactics. what do you make of it? is it a pressure tactic on israel? it's a risky decision. it's a risky move. they made him well. i think ultimately the, the decision was made that you know, that you can only continue to hold up your end of agreement for so long before you know, all of the things that have been promised and exchange are not being delivered or not being met. and i think this was the calculation that so far a number of these, you know, captives have been released by despite the fact that those violations have been there from the very beginning. including for instance, things like the number of palestinians have been promised the ability to evacuate for much needed medical care numbers haven't been met. that's right. all right, we now have the jordanian king heading to washington in washington to meet donald trump later today at the white house as we saw and noise report that a jordan is walking a very tight rope. here i as this is unfolding um we have heard donald trump
10:15 am
say that he would withhold aid from egypt. jordan over his controversial plan to move out. palestinians from gaza be which enjoy the indians injections. and the di region in fact, has rejected already. what? ok, king of the less choices right now you think? well, i don't think there's really much of a choice. i think that the proposal that's been put forward by the us president that's been supported by the most right when hawkish elements within the israeli government. it's simply on feasible, i mean this is not a workable plan. the idea that you can simply mask displace ethnically cleanse a millions of palestinians. all in one go is simply something that the does, that there is no basis for in law and any kind of, you know, international legal practices, etc, etc. i mean, all of the arguments have been made, but from the jordanians perspective, i think this has also seen this essential right. that this is across or you don't think they drilled and, and king is likely to favor in to tom suppression. no, i don't. i don't see that happening in part because ultimately this would actually
10:16 am
doing the very survival of that kingdom. and the other thing by the way that i think needs to be mentioned is the fact that every time we talk about us a to these countries, this is not an active charity or generosity. this is about fulfilling us interest using this aid. so in a sense, the us is also undermining its own core admissions in this region. and i suspect that this is something that will be, you know, hurt internally at least within certain ranks of the us government and administration that you know, we need these programs. we need these 8 packages to continue to flow in part to secure many of our interest as the us, you know, in, in these countries. right. coming back to the c side is coming back to the ceasefire. we've heard donald trump say that, oh how, how, how will break out lose if the captives are not free by saturday? do you think he stress can be carried out into action? can, can they be executed and what needs to happen behind the scenes? sally? think to solve, it's just well for one thing. i think, you know, we've already seen this play out over the last 15 months, right?
10:17 am
that this was an agreement that had been on the table. and yet israel had had essentially refused to even engage in any kind of discussion to reach a cease fire agreement for over a year. so the idea of simply resuming that is not the kind of threat that, that the us president might assume it is in part because we've been here before. but also i think, you know, there is not the political will to maintain the enforcement of disagreement. i think this is that the core of the difficulty here is that what is, who is the party that's actually ensuring compliance on the part of an actor, particularly in this role that has been, you know, belligerence throughout this entire process and has seen absolutely no consequences for its many violations, not only and this is far, but as we've seen also and, and loving on before. i'm just allowing thank you very much for sharing of use with us have delorean from josh on university joining us here on the use our well as we heard the announcement by him, i said it's postponing the release of the next scope of his really captors has led to demonstrations in tennessee, families accuse him off and prime minister netanyahu of sabotaging the ceasefire
10:18 am
jail. the pin minister is doing everything to sacrifice my son my time and all the hostages on the altar of his room. we are getting used to seeing our people getting back sundays, horrible conditions, but alive and we're expecting for a dispute to continue until it's very end and by the conditions fully. so we expect them to come back to this saturday as planned, as well as i'll speak to a kiva l guy, and he's really political on this. and also he's joining us from tennessee. thank you so much for your time. akiva. so concerned about the outlook up this loose fired is and these really cabinet meeting later this tuesday. what do you expect from that? do you think that's now we're bound to the political pressure or to the public pressure not to resume the war as well? so i don't think that we have to hold the breast do here what uh,
10:19 am
the cabinet john is going to decide actually, anybody else said yesterday, loud and clear in his presentation to the message that uh he uh, is uh, actually starting the called on for and the to see fire after somebody. this is the ration and it was actually clear after the, uh, the duration of the drum, please. uh, drum sir. uh, what uh could you want to expect from the, from us to do deeper leasing prisoners and to give up. uh, any bug and change that was still holding it. so i think that the problem is that uh we don't really know what the drum is going to say this evening. um a week ago before that time. yeah. went to washington and the common wisdom was that, uh, trying to get the nobody b,
10:20 am
surprise from today. he's going, you know, he's looking at the death certificate of many of the beatles. you guys are and i understand those guys, but i keep a what about the pressure from the families that we seen and the majority of these re lease, in fact, to want to cease fire to hold, to want to see the rest of the captive fried why is missing you or not listening to that? do you think is a more worried about his political future? yeah, absolutely. and what that was also looking at is a here base. and according to the law, was more than 60 percent of the his riley's interested in ending the war and even going for elections. but if we look deeper into this hole, we see that his base softball team
10:21 am
a and doesn't want to see the phase 2. and once it's ready to stay in got, and more than that, the majority of is ready. the board president from they uh before the election, the american elections. there was a majority of these writers in favor of the drum and what is interesting to manage the year for these is the fact that when by then was sitting at the white house, nathaniel didn't take orders from him and said it's just the whole stage and how the president of the united states does uh, you know, to, uh, agreed to receive via and no, actually invited is they leave the office where and uh, no mortgage. there's the so the thing that even if i'm forced to say i q is complex to sites and this now today, you know,
10:22 am
you need to get back on this to the ceasefire. you need to make this happen. do you think he would agree to that? he would accept that, oh, absolutely. and you know, perhaps the medium is on the phone, the way, the mo, the, the monkey medium that who uh is one of those and wait, find that as of the drum and is actually the lowest uh in washington. she's the only one who was loving for the cap juice to release them. if she wasn't dead on the drum this evening and that it's wrong that you need to change your mind while you're doing this. you know, at the beginning he said that may be the transfer over the people to god. that is something that, uh, you know, uh, will be very, very short and they will be able to go back. now he says,
10:23 am
forget that you write it down and going to read them in it. so maybe you can see you talk somebody tomorrow, so we will be definitely in another place. now you have to remember also fully think that what i need to know is doing is trying to gain more time for his dryer. he really believes that the was more, as long as the war is, the sooner he's the more the probably he'll be and uh, we'll send a message the message to the call. let him go. i keep an eye on god. thank you so much for sharing your views with us and bring us to perspective the from israel like you've alti in tennessee, that's focused on the humanitarian situation in guys and take a closer look at what was agreed under the sci fi deal when it comes to aid by now around $12000.00 a truck should have entered the gaza strip, meaning there's a show for over on 3 and a half 1000. the agreement stipulated at least 50 fuel trucks should be allowed in to the strip every day. but on average,
10:24 am
only 15 trucks have been allowed in daily to 100000 tents was supposed to enter guy, but only 10 percent. that's 20000 have made it in. and none of these 60000, no, by homes promised, have entered the strait as, as talk to china know about this. she's a communication advisor for the norwegian refugee council in palestine. and it's joining us from amman are trying to thank you so much for your time. so we've heard officials and guys of say there's not enough a trucks coming in under the time. so as i was a great in the cease fire, can you tell as far as how much age no age and refugee council has been able to deliver? since this, these fi came into effect. well, we've got mean dozens of trucks into gaza since the ceasefire began. we do not provide food aid. and so the 1st couple of weeks food was really the priority because of the star vision crisis in gaza. but we have seen that that shelter materials are coming in, of course,
10:25 am
it's nowhere need nowhere near the mouth needed to meet the tremendous need and goes up particularly after so many people move back to the north or down to rough or which, which meant that they were returning to places basically in ruins with which little shelter materials on hand. so you've been able to to send shelter material into the gaza strip. where has it gone to precisely and has it helps people on the ground as well just yesterday. yeah, we sent a, we managed to bring tens up to date law here in the far north of, of the got the strip and deliver tends to, to around 260 people provide shelter for on 260 people. of course this, this is a slow process, it's, it's taking too long their challenges in terms of aid the, the specs needed in order to get these through the scanners and,
10:26 am
and is really rigidity in terms of rewriting aid in it that, that doesn't fit in scanners. in one area and should be sent to another. but we, we have seen that that at least when it comes to shelter items, most of those items, particularly family size tens, have been pre approved. but they're also challenges, of course, in the, in the humanitarian sector in terms of the ability for us to scale up when there was so little 8 going in pipelines, take time organization take time, right? and so as, as rapidly as we're moving, it simply is not enough getting in to serve people and meet their needs and that shelter it definitely is needed right now, as we see these harsh weather conditions of adding to the misery of palestinians in garza, with hundreds of thousands will return to the north in the, in the past few weeks we've, we've also heard from these people, china that they want to rebuild their homes. and you touched on this uh uh, in your previous statement. they're saying that not everything is being allowed to
10:27 am
get into the guys the strip. we know that is right in the past was denied certain types of materials from entering the gaza strip. do you, do you hope that the process will change soon to allow for, for these items to get in and talk to us about some of the obstacles that you're facing? delivering some of the age as well as there have been challenges. israel operates that, a dual use list, and so it's difficult to get in certain items. we face challenges in terms of some of the shelter toolkit. so well, some of the materials are getting in, things like god, those are gloves are not needed to help with, with that to protect people as they are conducting repairs or trying to build a temporary shelters. and so it's, it's in large part due to the, the just incredible logistical challenges and trying to scale up to speed. we have seen that some, some aid has been able to get in that previously was, it was taking longer. we've seen that delays have actually been reduced and the
10:28 am
last several weeks in terms of getting approval. so what are the hot or should i try and briefly, the water briefly? i mean, much of the water infrastructure has been destroyed. how, how are you able to help with that? so we've been delivering water since even before the ceasefire to over a 100000 people and we continue to work to scale that up. but of course, fuel is a major challenge, and you mentioned that that not enough, not even the number of fuel trucks that were meant to be allowed in under disagreement we're getting in. and so we, we are, it's, it's a struggle to be able to scale up when so much water infrastructure is destroyed and, and trying to operate pumps for development is ation and keep our nation and, and um wells in order to be able to, to, to, to actually scale up and deliver. thank you so much for talking to us. china about your efforts in guys. uh china. no communication advisor for the norwegian refugee

council in palestine. joining us different online, a head on algae, sarah donald trump, info's a steep terrace on scene, and then moving an export to the us where lives in sold to find out how this will impact washington's on ice soft korea. by standing the tests of time, syrians at once again able to enjoy the ancient drawings in the city of palm mirror and in support. a big game coming up in your basic offending champions, right on the great face, mattress se will hear from the managers in sports, which i'm gonna stay the a february at the side to win 20 circulating europe is usually a cold clarity. and sometimes when the fact this is all 3 of those, and you can see why because that's where it's sitting. it was kind of measure these lines represent the when it's a cold with his drawing code after western russia,

which being particular told recently, sometimes you get this on most the time you direct and in fact on tuesday is going to be disappointing. good belgium, in the netherlands, and presumably west and germany down to was the switzerland as well as the costs are brakes of light, rain or snow and cold of assistant wind blowing into for example, london. that works well my down in the mediterranean, something fonts or a few shekels around otherwise doesn't feel particularly like winter but in project wheeled it over cost snowing on wednesday, but with brighten brought the day on thursday. it was up at little, but we slid to rain, i'm afraid, and fairly cloudy skies on friday. the worst of all worlds, probably. obviously north africa. does that mean winter's enjoying much warmer weather and the typical dusty breeze? i think the shelves are coming up into something pops, have gone to all the re case issues right. this time the, the heavier summer radians still around in southern africa are pretty widespread
