but first to tottenham. .. second in the table this evening after another impressive victory. this time 4—0 against west brom. a harry kane hat trick has lifted them above liverpool who play on sunday. and to within four points of leaders chelsea. azi farni reports. tottenham started the day looking for their sixth league win in a row, with dele alli looking to continue his rich vein of form. but it was his england team—mate and new father harry kane who opened the scoring, a man whose spurs fans call one of their own, celebrating his first goals after having one of his own. spurs looked capable of goals with every attack. they soon made it 2—0, with a shot deflected off gareth mcauley into the back of his own net. the game took an unfortunate twist, when tottenham defender jan vertonghen turned his ankle. spurs are hoping it is not as bad as it looks.
6:33 pm
west brom's gareth mcauley‘s day went from bad to worse. his miskick allowing harry kane to find the bottom corner. the point was sealed when fittingly, alli cleverly played in kane. they moved the top of the table, looking capable of mole. —— capable of mole. plenty to talk about from white hart lane and the rest of the premier league action. the talk about it with you, john and john. let's start with the spurs result. hugely impressive performance in what has been a very special week of their star striker, harry kane. what a week. an unbelievable week. he played so well after his partner had a child this week. spurs, particularly in the first half, 78% possession. they equalled the record of six straight wins, they are the real deal this season. west ham, poor performance,

by degree from gareth mcauley. they are usually so organised, it was so unlike them. they got knocked out of the fa cup last weekend as well. tony pulis will not be happy with his players. let's year from the starman, harry kane. the last three times we played them, they scored first. it's been a while, they always hang on there and nick a draw. we try to finish the game. we've done that, it's probably the best performance of the season for us. yes, it was a great day. if you are not on it at these grounds, they will punish you. we gave away some sloppy goals and we never really got going. i don't take a thing away from tottenham, tottenham are a good team, they have people who will punish you. good luck to them for the rest of the season, but it was a bad day for us. no wonder he is disappointed. a bad day for them. arsenal are hot on their heels. an impressive

performance, beating swansea i—o. olivier giroud, what great performance. he scored in each of his nine starts for arsenal. difficult moments here, though, for the swansea boss paul clement. 4—0 defeat. they were the own worst enemies. two on goals, and the assist was from a swansea player as well. a big story which the players will focus on. when alexis sanchez was taken at 4—0 up, he soaked in the dugout. arsene wenger was happy with the win. maybe we were a bit fortunate. you can see that they had more problems to contain us. it's not an eye opener. i know what this level of footballer is like. we have some good players, we are looking to do some other things soon.
6:36 pm
i also believe there are games we are not expected to win, and games we are going to have to win. maybe that was not one we were expected to win today. a tough introduction for paul clement, having just taken over at swa nsea. clement, having just taken over at swansea. chelsea were up against the champions, leicester city. and without diego costa, which is the biggest surprise of all, of course. the leading goal—scorer of the chelsea. a lot of talk about potential interest from china, whether or not there is a potential tra nsfers. whether or not there is a potential transfers. he is clearly unsettled, otherwise you would not be leaving him out of the starting line—up. antonio conte is saying it is a back injury which kept costa out of the game. of course there is the rumours of the fallout. chelsea are leading in this game. marcos alonso with the goal. right footed finish. and, yeah, decent finish. leicester city playing with the new formation, three upper back to match the aussie. it didn't work in the first half of the first half, if you know
6:37 pm
what i mean —— to matched chelsea. alonso scoring the only goal so far. leicester did improve and they are still in this game. it is 1—0. but diego costa. marcos alonso with the goal so point west ham, a hugely impressive win for them they have something to shout about. in the lead up to this, a great golfer andy carroll, it has been about dimitri payet, another notable absentee from the starting line—up. payet, another notable absentee from the starting line-up. who needs dimitri payet quebec's marked one of the goals of the season from andy carroll. you have to see it. he can almost step in short—term to the dimitri payet role. he was dropped by algeria, a really good performance by west ham. crystal palace, five games under sam alla rdyce palace, five games under sam allardyce without a win. let's get reaction from allardyce. allardyce without a win. let's get reaction from allardycelj allardyce without a win. let's get reaction from allardyce. i hit one in training through the week. i thought, i'll give it another go. a little bit cross, and it went in the

6:39 pm
his first premier league start since may after having returned to the clu b may after having returned to the club from the spelt with rangers. you cannot keep this guy out of the headlines. making his premier league debut with burnley. it went sour at rangers. he said, it's my goal. no wonder he is smiling! it is definitely his goal, great moment for him. burnley at home are superb. one of the points this season have been at turf moor —— all of the points. southampton in poorform, losing the last four in the premier league, slipping into the bottom. it is all about one man, joey barton. he has worked hard since he's been back here. you know, i tend to believe in people i've worked with, and people i haven't, some of them, what they can offer us. i know what joey offers us. he has an interesting life, to say the least, and this is another strange twist in his interesting life.
