avoid any of these trigger words. insane, nonstop, mental. usual stuff. is this the phone? that is the phone. great. the app. that's going to be ok. actually, if you could keep it in its cradle. you're laughing all the way through that. what then happened i5 way through that. what then happened is he thinks this is going to be a ma55ive publicity opportunity but doing the course of that committee meets characters from his old life. davies is co—5tarring on—5creen buttie5 in love with her. she's now with his 5tu ntman, buttie5 in love with her. she's now with his 5tuntman, his duck 5tuntman. with his 5tuntman, his duck 5tu ntma n. steve with his 5tuntman, his duck 5tu ntman. steve coogan with his 5tuntman, his duck 5tuntman. steve coogan play5 with his 5tuntman, his duck 5tuntman. steve coogan plays as the spin off character who has become 5ucce55ful spin off character who has become successful and he is jealous.

spin off character who has become successful and he isjealous. it's intere5ting, funny in the moments of comedy comes together. you about is terrific, kenneth branagh play5 himself, simon callow play5 himself. not simon cowell. there are plenty of laughs all the way through. my only re5ervation of laughs all the way through. my only reservation is that sometimes it feels like a 30 minutes get stretched out to 90 minute movie. that said, it's really nice to see the isle of man playing the isle of man. there are so many movies where the isle of man played ireland in waking ned, and me and 0rson the isle of man played ireland in waking ned, and me and orson welles, and cornwall in stonebraker. it's nice to see the point being that they are on the isle of man. when it's funny, it's funny and the phy5ical comedy works well. if you have that nostalgic thing you are talking about. things like bergerac and the $6 million man. tho5e talking about. things like bergerac and the $6 million man. thosejokes will work. i thought it was funnier

thanit will work. i thought it was funnier than it was expecting, it's inconsistent but it works when it works. it has a great supporting ca5t. andrea i5 works. it has a great supporting ca5t. andrea is great. thejoke i5 funnier because she is playing it 5traight, reacting with a straight face. it entertained me even though it's uneven. 0k. they could not be more different from harmonium. this i5a more different from harmonium. this is a cannes prizewinner. it that has a mysterious 5tranger is a cannes prizewinner. it that has a mysterious stranger who turns up on the door of a family, father, mother and young child. the father recogni5e5 him, gives a job and food and lodging, and the wife says, who i5 and lodging, and the wife says, who is he? how do you know him? he says he's an friend. it's evident he's an old friend from eight heart of the husband's pa55 old friend from eight heart of the husband's pass that the wife doesn't know about it. slowly, the film reveal5 its secrets. what i liked about it was it's a movie in which the story is not told through what he will say that through what they do, through their actions, the way they stand and behave. he

immediately get to see with this character, he has been possibly in confinement. thejourney character, he has been possibly in confinement. the journey 5leep of the light on, he eats food fast, you know more about these characters than they tell you. the films and move5 than they tell you. the films and moves from something that seems to be understated and low—key to something that is actually quite tragic and dramatic. the change happens almost imperceptibly. it's a film that wrong—footed me several time5 film that wrong—footed me several times i didn't know whether it was going, but i found myself gripped. when the big revelations occur, they are also more powerful. it's cold harmonium because doing it, the young daughter is learning to play the instrument. the 5tranger actually starts to teach her how to play an instrument, which seems to be partly innocent but also seems oddly threatening. that is pretty much the tone of the whole film.|j have read the word leak in relation many times. people have suddenly, it i5 bleak but it is also very human.
9:50 pm
it's not just bleak. i5 bleak but it is also very human. it's notjust bleak. it's engaging in the way it makes its dramatic punch work even better. that is moved to sleeple55. thi5 punch work even better. that is moved to sleeple55. this is a jamie foxx vehicle? what's your take? from a film foxx vehicle? what's your take? from afilm in foxx vehicle? what's your take? from a film in which violence is everything to one where noise is everything. jamie foxx i5 everything to one where noise is everything. jamie foxx is a cop who, very early on, we see him get a large staff of drugs with his partner. if you have a large stash of drugs they belonged to somebody. they belong to a casino owner who wa nts they belong to a casino owner who wants the back and decides he will kidnapjamie wants the back and decides he will kidnap jamie foxx‘s sun. wants the back and decides he will kidnapjamie foxx‘s sun. meanwhile, rachelle monaghan is a internal affairs agent on the trail of babcock. another criminal, all of whom end up in this casino golding double—crossing, chasing each other and fighting each other. his eclipse. —— here is a clip.

space and it's lots of running, jumping, ponting, shooting. it never engages i dramatic level. there are some good performances in it but you keep thinking, it is ok, i quite like watching this, but it never actually gets under your skin and use, gi’ow actually gets under your skin and use, grow its ironic it's cold sleepless, but does it's not a movie that engages keeps you awake. the whole whole sections on it that you think, yeah, i have been here before. as seen this done better. i'm not particularly gripped this time round. is it a remake of a french film? apparently the original is very good. i wonder why films that were made a few years ago need to be remade another language. there is no reason. on that note, let's talk about lady macbeth. if there wasn't a general election, i would have seen. i'm looking forward to it. it's really good. firstly, the director has come out of theatre. i think he made one short film before. this is a really good piece of thin.

fantastic central performance by florence pusey will huge. she will clearly be a major star. —— florence pugh. the director did siberian lady macbeth, it takes the action to victorian north—east england and it isa victorian north—east england and it is a really engaging story with a great central performance and one of those soundscapes that draws you in, tells the story again more through the whistling of the wind and the creaking of the chairs than it does to the dialogue. we would love it. it is worth seeing but see it in this cinema, don't wait for the dvd. 0k, good tip. talking of dvds, for someone 0k, good tip. talking of dvds, for someone who doesn't have, in this week ‘5 case, a lot of time in our hands, for the scorsese. week ‘5 case, a lot of time in our hands, for the scorseselj week ‘5 case, a lot of time in our hands, for the scorsese. i was ambivalent about silence when it came out in the cinema. this is a project that scorsese wanted to do

for decades and decades. based on the 1966 historical novel on persecution in the 17th century japan. it is a film made in integrity and honesty. i think doesn't dramatic failings in it, but it looks absolutely beautiful and liam neeson, andrew garfield, adam driver are normally the stars but the japanese car still the show. 0ne of its stars was an harmonium. fix either the japanese stars perhaps you underestimated at first time round. although it's often not perfect, it was interesting watching it again and seeing it is deeper and more resonant than first time round. so worth having a go although it is a tough watch. no question, it's a tough watch. mark, thanks as ever. see you next week, a quick reminder before we doubt that you can find all the film news and reviews from across the bbc online. i'm sure you
