welljoining fleetwood when the open gets underway tomorrow will be sheffield—born adam hodkinson. hodkinson turned professional in 2009, but had almost five years out of the game after falling on a building site and breaking his wrist. he's ranked — wait for it — one thousand two hundred and 73 in the world but he'll make his 0pen debut after coming through a qualifying competition. jessica creighton caught up with adam earlier and started by asking him how felt when he realised he was playing at birkdale. when i finished qualifying, i had to wait three hours. it was the worst three hours of my life. but once it was confirmed i was in, it was amazing, a dream come true to play in the open. i can't wait to go and prove myself. once you are there, you will be rubbing shoulders with some of the greatest golfers on the planet. how will you prepare? go and
