violence, rioting and fires are becoming routine. the camps are full and migrants, though smaller in number, are still making it here by boat. the people arriving here in lesbos are different now because of the ripple effect from the conflicts in iraq and syria. since so—called islamic state started to lose ground, many who've arrived in greece have escaped attention. men tortured by is fighters, women used as sex slaves, some are pregnant here, there's little support and it's worsening the problem on an already volatile island. we're very worried, we think we need to improve the healthcare given to these people. if they're vulnerable they need to be recognised as such and may need to move somewhere where they can get care. the reality is there isn't this care here on the island and they need to move to the mainland to receive it. scars from years of torture, osama was once a syrian policeman but was caught by rebel groups and sold to is. he said he was regularly beaten and sexually abused by his captors. i've been in captivity for three years, two years locked in one room. i lost my family, i lost my wife, i haven't heard anything about them. he tells me he was able to escape, hoping for a new life in europe.

translation: detention will only rise here. i am here for one year. sometimes i feel if i had been killed in syria it would be better than this, pure humiliation. the greek refugee policy is clear that extremely vulnerable migrants should be taken off the island quickly for specialist treatment in athens. so why are they still here? i would like at this point to remind that 30,000 people have come through the island since march, 2016, so there can be individual cases, some individual cases, where they may not have been processed as quickly. the greek government is promising to take extremely vulnerable migrants off the island. those needing the most help, for the moment, are still waiting. gavin lee, bbc news, lesbos. we have the film review coming up

5:49 pm
—— kumail nanjiani. it is about the real—life romance. he is from a traditional pakistani family were as emily is a white american, academic and eccentric family. that is the chalk and cheese dynamic for the romantic comedy. why so it called the big sick? there is also an illness which happens to one of the characters. there's a lot happening, a lot of story. the clip is from the beginning of the movie. he is trying to make it as a stand—up comedian and meets emily the first time. hi. hi, hello. my name's kamal. we know. we saw you perform. 0k. and now at the niceties are out of their way, i have to tell you when you yelled at me really put me off. you should not heckle comedians, it's so rude. i did not heckle you. ijust gave a woo—hoo, it's supportive. that's a common misconception.
5:50 pm
yelling anything at a comedian is considering heckling. it does not have to be negative. so if i yelled out, you are amazing in bed, that would be a heckle? yeah, that would be an accurate heckle. goodbye. you have scared my friend off now. already it is endearing. the writers are inspired by the greats, richard curtis, annie hall and tipsy so if you are inspired by those movies, thatis you are inspired by those movies, that is a good start. that is one of my favourite films. people have said this is some statement about racial relations in america right now but it is not, it is a true story about two people getting together.m
5:51 pm
there anything new in talking about two interracial couples? that is a refreshing thing about this film, it is in there but it is not trying to make a larger statement. it isjust about what happened to them. make a larger statement. it isjust about what happened to themm make a larger statement. it isjust about what happened to them. it is very charming. he wrote it in but it is not too self—serving, more affectionate than that? absolutely, it isa affectionate than that? absolutely, it is a lovely relationship between kumail nanjiani and his parents. i know his father from his part in kumail nanjiani and his parents. i know his fatherfrom his part in ice age and he is showing us what a good actor he is. i think you could be up for our reward —— and awards for this performance. i love holly hunter. she is just this performance. i love holly hunter. she isjust nuts in this and brilliantly so. how lovely to go into the summer with sums being

genuinely fun. we have not had a fresh romantic comedy for a while. people think we know all the tricks and the cliches but this actually, it has a romantic comedy framework but it is doing new things. our next film from australia, i have read lots about it but i know i could not stomach it, talk me through and explain. again, loosely based on a true story about murders which happened in perth in western australia where a suburban couple we re australia where a suburban couple were kidnapping teenage girls. what is gripping about this film is that it is not some exploitative horror movie. it is a character study of this couple who do this and why they do itand this couple who do this and why they do it and what is going on in their heads. specifically, the wife, who
5:53 pm
she is and what has gone on in her past and why she is on the situation and does what she does. that stops it just and does what she does. that stops itjust being a cardboard cutout horror movie. it is actually about the characters, these three—dimensional characters the kidnappers and the girls they kidnap, the all have their story which has stepped out. this is the first film from ben young who ca ptu res first film from ben young who captures suburban australian life very well, disillusionment and a kitchen sink drama really. it is brittle and uncomfortable but very well made. i here you and that he is a talent to watch but i am not sure i have the stomach for that. girls trip, on the other hand takes us back into the lighter world. definitely back into the lighter

those things, it has a relentless bubbly nissan boarding about it. it was difficult to find a clip we could play. —— ugliness and bawdiness. its characters are four confident and successful black woman and you do not have enough of those movies. it is not an 0scars movie, it is joyfully frothy and silly which is why it is refreshing. it is clu nky which is why it is refreshing. it is clunky at times but this likeness carries it along. it has been a big hit in the states and this will change things. that is interesting because i was thinking how much i enjoyed hidden figures which was the last time it focused on african american women. the fact that even resonates with you shows what a

positive it is about sort of film. hidden figures is great but it is the oscar worthy serious movie, this is just joyfully not like the oscar worthy serious movie, this is justjoyfully not like that. it is justjoyfully not like that. it is deliberately frothy and flimsy and everyone is having fun and that is the real novelty. it is a good time, as those for younger viewers something which mark was reading about. this is out no. i could've chosen dunkirk but everyone has said how great it is, i do not need to add to that. captain underpants is a dreamworks animation, based on the bestselling books. the hypnotise the school principal into believing he is this sk —— this superhero. it is silly and nonstop. it has that self reflecting quality that adults alike. there are loads ofjokes about pants. the main antagonist is
